Talk about unprofessional. The weekend manager of this store is neglecting at best and quite cobative at worst. I waited over an hour for the staff to figure out how to get into their delivery system only to find that the system was actually down. I was then told that I would have to come back to place my delivery order the next day. The staffer that assisted me was actually very apologetic and ended up giving us an additional discount for the inconvenience but it does not make up for the terrible customer service from the manager. He was quite condescending to his employees and down right rude to me. I will definitely be driving across town to another store for all future purchases and we’ll have many considering our daughter is just three years old.

This is a very clean Toys R Us. I was able to find what I wanted and was in and out of there in five minutes or so. Very close to I25.

Maybe it’s because every toy store seems awesome when you’re a kid, but I can only say that it seems like Toys R Us has really gone downhill over the years. Their aisles are junky, their employees are nothing special, and their prices can usually be beat elsewhere. This Toys R Us is newer, so it’s slightly less junky than say, the Westminster one, but I had a fairly inadequate service experience. My kids and I were there yesterday to spend Grammie’s gift cards from Christmas. Rather than just pile more toys into our house, we decided to pool their gift cards and get some sports equipment — plus spring is on the way! In the sports aisle, we decided on a basketball hoop and — bonus — all basketball systems and balls were 25% off! We carted up to the front, and just as we were approaching the only check-out lane open, she turned off her light and walked away. Catching a glimpse of us, she said, «oh, someone can check you out at the service desk». Apparently, she had something more important to do than serve a customer. Even more frustrating, we were standing, waiting our turn over at the service desk when I looked over and the girl had turned her register light back on and was helping someone else. Finally, our turn. As luck would have it, the hoop did not ring up at the correct price. The girl at check-out said, «I need to go do a sign check.» Ok. Whatever that entailed, she did not elaborate, she just disappeared. When she reappeared with the sign, she didn’t say anything to me. She just started talking to her co-worker as though I wasn’t standing right there. Should we give it to her? Should we call someone? I would just give it to her. Maybe we should try to call. Finally, someone decided I was worthy of the clearly-marked discount. I would say that, without asking, the gal checking me out called someone to haul the rather large box out to my car for me. He was probably the most polite employee I’d encountered and helped me figure out how to get the thing in my barely big enough trunk.

These folks were really helpful when we needed to return some items. We really appreciated their commitment to customer service. If you have extenuating circumstances, look for a manager or senior employee, and they’ll treat you right.

I needed special help due to an online order that did not go thru. Alisha went above and beyond to get the order together for me! She did it with a time crunch. I was able to do a stop and purchase. Thank you Alisha!

As far as Toys R Us stores go, this one is pretty run-of-the-mill. I’ve rated it two stars because customer service is lacking at best. They opened in a rapidly-growing area and they’re the only toy store around for quite a distance, so they’re usually fairly busy. This in mind, they rarely have more than one register open. The people at customer service can ring up purchases, but there are still lines three or four customers long. Order online and pick up in the store, and they usually don’t have the item ready, despite the email that says it is. My husband and I were in one night and it was just us. We were in the middle of a conversation when an employee asked if we needed help finding anything. We both visibly shook our heads ‘no’ and kept on with our conversation. 10 seconds later or so, the employee followed us and very rudely yelled at us «I SAID ‘CAN I HELPYOUFINDANYTHING?!» to which I replied«We shook our heads in an obvious sign that we didn’t need help, so thank you for being so rude as to interrupt our conversation TWICE ». A positive for this store is that they DO keep things in stock. In short: You can probably get what you’re looking for, unless it’s good customer relations. In that case, go somewhere else.
