DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I booked Life of the Party for a company event, signed a contract, and confirmed with Jude the set-​up time the day before the event. They left us completely without entertainment. No one showed up, phone calls were not answered, and our event suffered. Horrible business practice!

Filled out two online requests and then called and left messages. After several days I received an email saying they do not deliver to my area. Funny thing my city is on his list of delivery cities. I emailed him back asking to reconsider. I would even pay a delivery fee. No response. I realize that even if he agreed to deliver to us I would have to pass as he is not dependable.

Highly recommend.
We entertain a lot and we’ve used many party rental services, but Jude and Life of the Party are hands-​down the best rental service we’ve used.
We’ve stopped shopping around and now use them exclusively, We rented music and AV equipment, cotton candy machines, popcorn machines, and margarita machines from them.
It’s so much fun when we’re having a get together to rent one of their karaōke set-​up. Plugs right into the tv and has what seems like thousands of songs. Almost anything we can think of.
Prices are awesome. Service is excellent. The few times we’ve had a problem with some piece of equipment, Jude swaps it out or fixes it right away.

Wish i could recommend, but unfortunately I had issues and the owner Jude was of no help.
Story: Needed a Cotton Candy machine for an event on the 4^th of July. Called 1 month prior about making the reservation. Made the reservation online, still called 2 weeks prior to make sure it was reserved.
Got machine, took it home to test, after 1 successful try the machine broke and didnt turn on again. Took it back to Jude within 2 hours of picking it up, he didnt have any back-​up units but he said he would take a look, had some parts he could use to fix it and call me that evening.
Never called, I tried calling him, never answered. Never responded to any of my calls or messages for the next 5 days.
I had to resort to just dropping by his place and hope he was home. 2 times he wasnt, the 3^rd time by sheer luck he answered his phone, agreed to a refund and eventually came home after I waited 30 more minutes.
Anyone can rent party equipment, but when things go wrong you want to be dealing with a PROFESSIONAL and not some guy that just blows you off. Would NEVER do business with him again.

I reserved a karaōke machine on a Tuesday for Saturday. Saturday morning I got a message from Jude saying that I shouldn’t drive out yet to pick it up, because he was still waiting for units to come back from the night before. So I waited and waited. I asked him to please deliver the unit when it became available. He said that he thought that would be possible. So I waited and texted him and then he eventually just stopped responding.
So that’s my story… I reserved the unit and Jude totally dropped the ball. No karaōke for my party. :(

Very very pleased. We had a movie screening party in our backyard for 12 twelve year olds. Nick came and set everything up — screen, sound system, projector and DVD player. He even brought extension cords. It all worked great. Picked up and delivery were done as scheduled. I forgot to pull the DVD from the player and they were nice enough to return it to Netflix for me.
I would definitely use them again.

It was my first time with Life of the Party Rentals and I was not sure what I was going to get since I Unilocaled them. So glad that I chose their service. Jude was very helpful on the phone. He gave me a few options for my projector rentals and told me about the prices (reasonable and affordable). They went beyond my expectations for my special event and I definitely recommended them!

I had a small presentation to give where I needed some wireless mics, speakers, a projector and a screen and he was a fraction of the cost of some of the local competitors that I called. He actually listened to my needs wasn’t trying to up-​sell me and he wasn’t pushy. That’s a big win in my book. I hate feeling like I’m being sold.
On top of his great customer service skills, his prices were super reasonable and much lower than anywhere else that I had called. Some of the quotes were thousands of dollars when I just wanted a basic setup. I think they thought I was trying to recreate Nocturnal Wonderland in this small space that I was using. Thanks, but no thanks.
I chose to pick things up from his home office to save the delivery fee. He not only set everything up beforehand, he gave me a step-​by-​step tutorial on how to use everything. Even though I knew how to connect something, he showed me one more time so that there would be no confusion when I went to do it on my own. He provided all the necessary wires, plugs and even some additional batteries just in case anything happened.
Though I’m sure he works more with home parties and small events, he definitely saved me a bundle and I will for sure use him for some of my other shindigs in the future.

These guys have a great product and fantastic service. They were very detailed when teaching me how to use the simple system. They took time to explain it and did not rush me. Plus their price could not be beat. The karaōke machine worked really well and was just right. I would totally use them again!

Really great experience renting karaōke machine here. Jude was very laid back and easy to deal with. Missing one of the song books, and he was quick to email me a pdf that we could pull up on our iPad. Rates were terrific and the karaōke machine worked without a hitch. It’s a little far for me in traffic but for the value, totally worth the little trek. I will absolutely be renting from him again. He has a lot of great party rentals with good prices. If coming from a distance to Pico Rivera I recommend arranging your pickups and dropoffs on the weekend when traffic is a breeze. Thanks again, Jude! You’re a total pro.

Very impressed with the DJ and margarita machine! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The DJ Art was professional, played amazing music and helped uplift my party with karaōke :) He also MC’d a bit which was AWESOME and kept the flow of the karaōke going which was perfect since everyone was hitting up the margarita machine ;)
The margarita machine was a HIT! Jude even told me how to make coke and rum slushies which was so nice! Nick who dropped off and picked up was very professional, helped me set up the machine and arrived on time to pick up the machine! I will defiantly be back for more with my next party!

I rented a projector and a screen which worked perfectly. Jude was very nice over the phone and showed us how to operate both items and also provided us with an iPad adapter to connect to the projector. His prices are very affordable and his weekend special is amazing if you’re able to pick-​up and drop-​off the stuff yourself. Check out his website for all the items he has.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! HORRIBLE!!!
First, I ordered a sound system and Jude sent me the invoice. I called to confirm the rental and he said that he would not pick up the sound system in the evening so I would have to store the sound system myself OR drive to Pico Rivera to drop it off!
Second, when the actual day of the rental came HE DID NOT SHOW UP!!! I called multiple times and HE NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE! I have NEVER dealt with such a horrible business.
This was an AWFUL experience. Save yourself the anxiety and DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

I had a wonderful experience renting from Life of the Party. The cotton candy machine was a hit with our teen party and the laser lights with the music got the teens on the dance floor! The owner explained how easy it was to use the equipment and was a pleasure to work with. I have already reserved equipment for my next party in two weeks!

What a wonderful find! I will definitely be coming back to «life of the party» for future party rentals. Friendly, and professional. And my party was a hit! Jude gave me the directions and they were easy enough for the whole party to understand how the karaōke machine worked! I can’t wait to try a movie night under the stars this summer!

I can’t stop raving about Life of the Party. My husband rented a karaōke machine for my birthday. The equipment was delivered at the exact time promised by Jude’s son, Nick. Nick was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the equipment he dropped off. I was a little weary of renting a machine because I figured it would be cheap and I didn’t want to waste the night popping CD’s into a machine. Jude’s product exceeded my expectations. The machine was very compact and required little to no set up. The sound was also amazing. Everything is done electronically through a remote control and his system was state of the art. I felt like I was in my own private karaōke studio for the night. Our friends and family had an amazing time and it was difficult yo pry the remote and microphone away. Life of the party was more than reasonably priced for the product that was delivered. Nick was also right on time the next day to pick up the machine. The price quoted does include tax but not gratuity. Be sure to leave a little extra for Nick, the delivery guy, next time as he is hard working and well deserving. I will continue to refer Life of the Party to all of our friends and family. Thanks!

We throw a New Years Eve party every year at our house and like to do it up nice with a gourmet food and wine. However, pretty much everyone we invite has kids, and as much as we all love our kids, it’s hard to have a good adult New Years Eve party with 20+ kids running around.
The solution — Turn the garage into a movie theater with blankets couches, pillows, beanbags, etc. and then get a digital projector and a big screen and let them eat popcorn, candy, and watch movies all night.
Your friends all show up because they don’t have to worry about a babysitter and everyone has a good time.
Of course I don’t have the $ 600‑3000 it costs to buy a digital projector, not to mention the screen, but I can spring for the $ 100 it costs to rent one, which is about what babysitters are running for 6 hrs these days anyways so…
We found this place on-​line and Jude, who runs it out of his house, was awesome. Very friendly, very helpful, very flexible and accommodating, and for $ 50 more he’ll come set it up and get it right for you.
The equipment, was clean, simple, in excellent condition, and everything worked exactly as it was supposed to.
The only reason he didn’t get 5 stars is because this was the first time I’m used him. But I also have a brand new catering business, and I’ll be calling this guy when I need something, and I’m guessing this rating will go up afterwards.

Great experience. I needed a projector and screen last minute. I submitted a request online. Jude called me back within a couple of hours and the deal was done.
