Granny’s Donuts & Sandwiches

Excellent donuts. Customer service is not there. Very hard to interact outside of being a business. Overall satisfied with the product.

My job brought me to Thomasville and it must have been fate because I was able to try these donuts! I had never heard of this bakery before trying them and the fact that it was in a white plain box intrigued me because I’m used to always seeing Krispy Kreme boxes or Dunkin Donuts! Anyway they were all glazed and were AMAZING! So fluffy and the glaze melts the second it hits your lips! The donuts are huge too! They blow Krispy Kreme out of the water!

I use Unilocal all the time and have never left a review before. This place is that good. Apple fritters are amazing and the size of my hand (see picture). I got some donut holes also. So glad I did. I couldn’t pick a favorite, half of the varieties are filled. All the donuts are good too. Custard filled (aka Boston cream) loved it. Very friendly with good customer service and good coffee. The selection is insane! They have two large deli cases with four rows completely filled with every donut you could think of. Yes, even a maple bacon with real bacon pieces on it. You’ll never want to go to another donut shop again! Sorry DD and KK

Absolutely stop here when in Thomasville! I’m not an apple fritter gal, but I ordered one based on reviews here, and it was, without a doubt, the best donut I have ever tasted. I would contemplate making the 90 minute drive again just for another taste!

The prices are great and the owner is super friendly. I would chose this place over Krispy Kreme. Also a large variety of options! They also refuse to sell anything that has been sitting for too long.

When you walk in the aroma makes you want to buy everything. The chocolate covered cream filled was better than any other donut I have ever had. We got a mixed dozen. The donut whole were also yummy especially the cream filled ones. Bought the apple fritters which were huge but haven’t eaten those yet. Service was friendly but we got to talking so much she shorted us two donuts. Definitely worth stopping for!

Everything here is top notch. Wide variety of pastrys. Only thing missing would be if they had hot, fresh doughnuts, but even not warm they are still the best doughnuts anywhere around. I love granny’s doughnuts.

We love going here for donuts! Whether we’re having an early morning meeting or just lounging on a Sunday, Granny’s Donuts are the best in town. She has the biggest variety and knows our order as soon as we walk through the door! Love the service and the food – can’t beat that.

Everything I have tried is delicious. The doughnuts, doughnut holes, fritters and cookies are all a good choice. The selection is wonderful and you will not be disappointed in what you choose.

Awesome prices, and great selection of donuts. Definitely would recommend. Friendly staff too.

Seriously I have never had a better apple fritter. I don’t think the inventor of apple fritters could made an apple fritter so good. If you don’t get an apple fritter you are wasting your time

Wow! This place is great! Really love the apple fritters! There is something for everyone at this place. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly.

Honestly, I don’t know much about their donuts. But their APPLE FRITTER… Is absolutely one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. It’s usually warm and doughy on the inside and crispy glaze on the outside with plenty of apple chunks and the perfect amount if cinnamon. I’m sure the other donuts are good too, but I’m hooked on the apple fritter.

Granny’s is the only place we buy Donuts from anymore!!! I have NEVER been an Apple Fritter person … until these guys!!! The Donuts are HUGE!!! light fluffy and the glaze is perfect on them … not too sweet! Taste is so awesome… especially just out of the glazer… :-) The assortment if wonderous! We have Never had a bad thing here ‚. That being said I wish that they were open on Sundays!!! Just had the Blueberry Fritter outstanding like the apple one! My wife and son were given a sample today when they picked up some today … it was a maple glazed bacon Donut — :-O — that was pretty awesome from what they have told me … bordering on OMG ! Great folks here !!! Love this place!

Fresh doughnuts made all day long. Great selection and variety. Always greeted with a smile. Support local businesses and give them a try. You’ll become a regular. And yes, the apple fritters are that good.

Best dang Apple Fritter I’ve put in my big ol mouth. Donuts not bad either. Everybody
in our house loves their fritters. I know they have sweets of all kinds. But I drop in for one thing. Stop in you will leave with a smile.

I just found out this morning that my original review for Granny Mac’s Donut Shop should have been for this place instead… so I went back & deleted that review.

Oh yeah, we’re a bunch of fatties at work! Someone is ALWAYS bringing Krispy Kreme, Dunkin Donuts, or Bojangles biscuits for b-​fast… but this morning, we had a new hire drive down to visit our Charlotte office from Raleigh. She stopped at Granny’s and bought a dozen plain glazed donuts. I usally try to avoid the treats in the breakroom, but this morning that just didn’t happen. I got a ginormous donut & put it in the microwave for 10 seconds to warm it. OHMYGOD. These freshly made old fashioned style donuts put KK and DD to shame! They are big and fluffy — they melt in your mouth with just the perfect amount of glaze. After this deliciousness, I just don’t see the point in having a donut imposter from one of the big chains. Good thing this bakery is so far away, or I suspect we’d all have to go out and buy some lovely elastic waist-​band pants!

So, this morning I found out that I had originally reviewed the wrong place because my co-​worker from the RTP area came back down with some more Granny’s doughnuts. This time, I saw the label on the box with the correct name & address of the bakery.
This time she brought 2 dozen of those delicious doughnuts since last time the one box got eaten so quickly! Hmmm… maybe we need to request that the company install a stairmaster or two in the breakroom since no one around here can seem to resist that doughey goodness.
If you are in the Thomasville area and want to try some of the best doughnuts ever, stop by Granny’s. They are open Mon — Sat: 7:00 am — 8:00 pm. I could not find a website for them, but they do have a Facebook page.
