Good selection of different hotdogs. My big problem with this place is that the hotdogs are deep fried. Gross. I can’t understand any benefit other than cooking this way is easier. Would much prefer cooked in water or on the flat top grill.

Stopped in w/the wife today for a quick lunch. Wife ordered a foot long dog w/kraut, and I went with a bowl of chili(after seeing a flyer stating that they had a won a chili contest in Waterbury last month). We shared a sweet potato fries. Again, everything was excellent & tasty. Meat in the chili was very tender, and the spice was spot on, not overwhelming at all. Buttered toasted roll for the hot dog. We got a pumpkin milkshake for the ride home — very good ! Highly recommend Danny’s Dawg House when you are in the Thomaston area. The owner obviously takes pride in what he makes. Looking forward to coming back again soon to try other menu items. P. S. we wanted to stop in for lunch on 11÷6÷15, but there was a sign in the window saying that Danny Dawg House is closed for the winter. Just wanted to let everyone know this.

I had the Dawg House Dog and a Red Hot with chili and cheese both were great. I will be back whenever I pass by, and I will try to pass by.

I’ve come here a few times and it’s always been good food but overpriced. Today I ordered a lobster roll and small drink totaling 19 and change. Considering there are three other spots in thomaston you can order lobster rolls from for $ 15 or under that come with sides and are equally as good I would never come back here. It was good but the other places that offer them for equal or less money come with at least one side– fries or slaw. I’d do takeout from somewhere else over this one any day. Faster and cheaper. Additionally I’ve never ordered a hotdog that they’ve left out a topping or two that I asked and payed for.

Off of Route 8 is there little hot dog place. I stopped in for a hot dog snack. I ordered a Danny House Dawg which was a foot long dog, with grilled onions, peppers, bacon, petal sauce(spicy) saurkraut, bacon, and cole slaw. It was messy but very delicious. I look forward to going back to try some of their other creations.

Foot long hot dogs are great and also had fresh cut fries. Excellent place for a quick bite.

The dawgs with creative toppings are made-to-order. Delicious. House Dawg was outstanding. Grilled peppers, bacon, slaw, horseradish sauce and kraut. Unbelievable. Outstanding hot lobster roll too. I’m coming back!
