Wow my experience with Serene Pools is in great contrast to the majority of the reviews placed on them. I also was assigned to Serene through American Home Shield(AHS). They came out and fixed my original issue immediately and to my satisfaction. I am a mechanical, hands on individual and must say that their repairs were top notch. Since my original interaction with Serene I have had them back at least three more times for other problems from valves leaking to motors not working and every time the work was completed to my satisfaction. I have referred them to my neighbors for work as well. Pool repair companies are a dime a dozen and good ones are hard to find. I would not want to go through the process of vetting another pool repair company as long as Jason and Serene Pools are in business.

I don’t know what Serene Pools John in McKinney had work on his pool but I can tell you in spades that my experience was similar to Jerry’s, Carl’s and Donald’s. Serene was assigned by AHS home warranty service and from my experience I wouldn’t use this pool company to clean my pool, none the less touch anything mechanical.

DONOTUSETHISCOMPANY. They came out to fix my leak in my pool heater. They re routed pipes to disconnect the heater to stop the leak. They did stop my leak but caused my motor to run really loud and virtually no pressure in my D.E. filter. Everything aside from the heater leak was running quiet and had pressure before they came out. I called them out again. The tech told me the reason my motor was running loud is because I didn’t have a handle on my basket. He did something to it and now runs even louder. They contract their business out to independent reps or hire techs who obviously do not know what they are talking about. I now have to call out another company to try and fix what they broke. I don’t want them touching my pool equipment again.

The scheduled time for my service call was between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. The repairman left a message on my cellphone at 11:00 am saying that no one was home and that I would have to call the home office to reschedule. I had to schedule time off at work for this. These people are uncoordinated, they apparently do not think your time is valuable, and they do not respect it. If your home warranty attempts to use this contractor, ask them for another.

After 4 days of waiting for an appointment, I was FINALLY given a 1p-5p timeframe for pool service. Given that I had to take off from work all day to accomodate pool service scheduling, I WASTEDALLDAYWAITING with not so much as a courtesy phone call to allow me to schedule other priorities. The lack of professionalism by Serene Pools as a service provider for American Home Shield Warranty Company is less than adequate and below expectations. My advice: Find a Pool Service Provider that will actually SHOWUPONTIME so as to not waste your day off from work. Best of Luck!
