Very neat place in an area that is in desperate need of. Enjoyed it alot and I imagine it will be our ‘go to’ place since we just moved from Ft. Worth where there are tons of options compared to here. Having said that, the steak I ordered was supposed to be 14 oz. No way. So thin and was priced at 24.95. I’ve paid 45.00 for a ribeye that was worth it and was happy to do so. This was way overpriced. Also noticed lots of upcharges. If you want sauce on your steak, 1.95. If you want your small baked potato ‘loaded’ an upcharge. Also a 5.00 charge to sit on the balcony after 7pm. Dumb. If I’m paying all these upcharges for dinner you’re gonna ask for more? Is this guy a Democrat? Last thing, if you, as an owner, are gonna sit at the bar you might want to chastise your employees more quietly. I heard everything you said to the guy with the ear speakers on and how tacky that looked. Probably as tacky as it was to hear you say it.

Delicious food; best atmosphere! I’ve been to Scotties on different occasions. I thought the food was most delicious — LOVE the fish tacos. Service has always been good with friendly competent wait staff. They have some great bands playing on the patio. I’m going back tonight — can’t wait!

The restaurant itself was pretty neat. Lots of interesting memorabilia. The service was great. The restaurant’s low rating comes from the food. The main word to describe the food? Bland. There was a lack of salt in the garlic mashed potatoes and stuffed crab. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like raw garlic. The first cocktail sauce given to both me and my husband were solid, not frozen, just a solid glob. The best things that my husband and I had were the fries and the gumbo. For the cost of the entrees, I was expecting much better food. Don’t know if I’ll go back.

While the atmosphere is great & left me with high hopes, I was very disappointed. Ordered appetizers that came out AFTER the meal arrived, with an apology from the waitress but wasn’t even asked if we still wanted it or offered to remove it from our bill. I had the Seafood Feast, which was pricey at $ 24, for what was 90% fried and obviously purchased already processed, all they have to do is put it in the fryer and serve. If I wanted that, I could go to Long John Silvers’ for a quarter of the price. Fish tacos ordered by my husband tasted rather bland and fish tasted«muddy», along with more fried items, just not good. Was very sad that this was such a disappointment.

Came to Texarkana with my two little girls to visit my parents. My mom insisted on going to dinner here, endorsing it by saying, «It is really far away, it is crowded and noisy, but the food is ok, and it is a really neat place.» Um, ok, whatever. So off we went. She was right that it was far away from us, but I will not hold that against the restaurant. She was also right that it was really noisy. When she said it was«really neat» you have to remember that my mom is easily entertained. The novelty of an elevated structure, an airplane tail sticking out of the wall, and a beach volleyball court qualifies for her. Anyway she was wrong about at least one thing: the food was mostly better than ok. My parents both ordered filet steaks that were tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. My kids both had corn dog meals that they really enjoyed. The unique spiral cut fries were crispy and nicely seasoned. I had a Caesar salad that was terrific. I also recommend the fried cauliflower as a side. Our waitress said I was the first person to order that side dish since she had worked there… I recommend you make yourself the second. Ask for it with a side of ranch. The only disappointment food wise was my chicken fried chicken. It was dry and a little over cooked. The gravy was pretty bland as well. I have had much worse though. Also on the negative side was that we had a long wait for a table, even though there seemed to be quite a few open tables the whole time we were there. My kids were able to run around on the balcony while we waited, and were rowdy during dinner, and nobody cared. It is a great place for kids to be kids. The owner was there and seems to take a genuine interest in the operation. Over all I would be happy for a return visit, although I would recommend going on a weekday when they are not so busy.

Great food, garlic mashed potatoes are fantastic, nice selection of beers on tap, service was great! Large area outside for entertainment.

My food was ok. when we finally got a table. The big problem was that they were out if half of the items on the plate I ordered. I wasn’t given an option to order a different plate or choices of substitutions for the items they were out of. The owner came over and apologized in a very sarcastic manner. He comped half of my meal, but was a complete a$$ hole about it. I have no desire to go back. My wife ordered a steak(the filet). There was so much seasoning on it you couldn’t even tell if it was steak. I assume they were trying to cover up a cheap quality meat that they severely over charge for.

The first time we came here we waited forever and never got seated despite multiple groups coming in after us and getting seated ahead of us. The hostess was very rude and unhelpful so we left. After a few weeks we tried it again tonight and we got seated right away, but the service was ridiculous. The drink I ordered was the worst tasting mixed drink I have ever had. Our appetizer never came out until after our food came out and we had to ask why it never came out. I ordered a side of shrimp with my steak which didn’t come out with the food. I had to ask for it and by the time it came out my food was gone. I wouldn’t go back there again if it was the last place in Texarkana to eat.
