Can’t say enough about the staff at the Courtyard, kind and attentive. Very nice property close to several restaurants. I’ve stayed there many times and will be back!

Had a long drive and booked my stay on points last night… but it was past 12am and the website wouldn’t let me book my stay for the night. My family was within 20 miles of the hotel and with one phone call, Tucker at the front desk was able to help us. He was awesome! We met the manager, Fredrick, at checkout and had a small issue with the room and he was all over it. Made me feel really valued! Michelle was also working at the front and she was so sweet to my little boy. The Courtyard was great but Tucker, Fredrick, and Michelle made it an extraordinary stay!!! Thank you so much! –Matt Gagnon LifeStory Coaching and Development 512.542.6561

Usual Courtyard. Decent service. Parking can get tight when full.

My large family booked a night at the Hampton in the night of July 10th. Once we arrived, we were told they overbooked the hotel and that even though we booked our room a week ago it was no longer available. They pushed us off to the Courtyard Marriott across the road and made us their problem. That’s the best thing that could’ve happened to my family. Apparently a large little league tournament was being played and all the area hotels were booked up. Thankfully Camille, Amelia, Tucker, and Anthony worked their butts off to take care of us. They were great from the minute I walked in and after driving 7 hours with 5 kids they helped save my sanity and turned a horrible review into a 5 star one. Thanks Camille, Amelia, Tucker, and Anthony for saving our family’s trip!

Decent price for a nice hotel. Only passing through so it was perfect. Quiet. Staff was nice enough. I’d use again in a pinch… I’m thankful for a stopping point on the way home to Houston!

I’m only holding my tongue out of respect to my sister, but I do have a lot to say about this so called hotel. After September I’ll write a very full review on this place. But I’d never do business with them and I’d never stay and won’t be staying here and if you’re smart, you’d be better off to skip this place altogether.

I am a platinum elite member at marriott and a diamond member at hilton, this is one of the better courtyards out there. Newly renovated, friendly staff and a spacious lobby and patio. Rooms were clean and had a mini fridge and small flat screen tv. I stay in courtyards often around the U.S. and For the price, I’d choose this over the other properties in the area. Definitely worth a shot for a marriott property in the Texarkana area. Steak and shake, Cracker Barrel and a mcalisters deli within walking distance.

Good price. Next to the interstate but not noisy Carpet in the room could have been a little thicker. Nice work station in the room with a chair with wheels

Worst hotel experience of my life. Kids up running halls and being loud after midnight. Called front desk for 20 mins. Nobody ever would answer. So, got dressed and had to go to front desk to tell them. After being kept up all night and deciding to try their breakfast here, we got disappointed again. The hours are 7am but after going down there they aren’t going to be open until after 7:30 today. I will never stay here again

We decided to stay one night at this hotel as we read good reviews but or experience was not as good as we expected… First, we arrived at 11+PM and the girl at the front desk was totally unfriendly and she acted like she didn’t wanted to deal with any customers at all. We asked for a room with a king size bed so she booked us in the 3rd floor but then she told us that the elevators were shut down so we would have to walk all the way to the end of the hall way to take the stairs so having a 9-week old baby with us that was some kind of pain so we asked for something closer or at the first floor and she kept this face like it was a hassle to work us out… Finally she told us that she only had 2-queen size bedrooms available on the 1st floor so we took it… as we entered we started the mini fridge as we had to keep breast milk cold and we soon found out that the fridge wasn’t cooling at all so I went on and look for an ice cubes machine and while I was checking the fitness room that was next to the ice room, I noticed that she(front desk girl) was checking on me like when a security guard is following a suspect, very annoying… An hour later, my wife went to grab some ice and she told me that a security guard did exactly the same with her and that he even scared her as he was silently following her until she found out… No complimentary breakfast, no bottled water on the room, the beds were very comfortable tough, but overall it was not a good experience… But well… the personnel in the morning was totally the opposite, they were very friendly and kind so I guess they have to hire better employees for the night shift in order to make their customer to have a good experience…

This place is great! Rooms are beautiful and clean AND the staff is super friendly! On every floor there are apples(beautifully displayed) to munch on! The indoor pool and the little restaurant are a major plus! We found our room on for way cheaper than the retail price. $ 59 for a $ 99 room!

Rooms have nice amount of space and good looking cabinetry. Bathrooms use granite and are spacious. Toilet didn’t drain properly so they switched our room because they didn’t have a maintenance person around. While I was getting my new room key I heard the front desk woman tell someone else that they didn’t have a housekeeper on staff right now. It was about 8pm. $ 120 after taxes, etc. No complimentary breakfast. Rooms were clean and staff was nice.

Not a bad place to stay. My stay was for a month so I got some nice points out of it. I got a decent size room with a giant king size bed, a couch and a pretty big desk with a tv on it. The bathroom was very nice and was very clean. I was working night shift so I was sleeping during the day and the front desk worked something out with me so that they would clean my room at 9 am every Monday and Thursday so that I could enjoy having a clean room and still have enough time to sleep during the day. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that there is no free breakfast. You have to pay about $ 10 for breakfast each day. They have a regular buffet which you have to pay and they also make you customized omelettes which aren’t too bad but there is not a big selection on what you can add to it. But besides that, the pool is nice and the gym is decent. You also get a newspaper each morning delivered to your door. Total price was a little over $ 100 after the tax and everything.

So for Texarkana, this hotel isn’t too shabby. Seems fairly new and mostly clean. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have a mini fridge and flat screen tv. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub. My stay here would probably have been a 4 star experience if I had been traveling alone. On this trip, I had to share a room with two other people and we were totally comfortable in a room with 2 double beds. However, they need to make one important upgrade. More than 1 mirror in the room!!! When you have three people who are all trying to shower and get ready, having just the mirror in the bathroom makes its nearly impossible. How about one mirror in the bedroom area so others can do hair and make-up while someone else is taking a shower? That alone would have been a huge improvement on my stay here.

Stayed there recently — the best $ 100/night hotel room I’ve stayed in, I think. Sufficiently isolated(not within walking distance of anything) that I wouldn’t choose this place without a rental car but that’s often true of the red states.

Rumor has it this is THE place to stay in Texarkana. It is your basic Courtyard by Marriott set-up, plus a small«business center» in the lobby with free computer access and an ink-jet printer, and a small food service area that seemed never open when I was there but I think it probably does open, maybe for a breakfast buffet. The staff was very nice, the room was clean, and people could find me there to leave me messages or send me faxes, and apparently these qualities sets the Courtyard above all other area hotels. I can’t say for sure, since I haven’t dared stay at any others, but that’s the rumor, anyway.
