Cates Transmission

We broke down in Texarkana while visiting family. We took our van to Cates to have the transmission replaced. A week and 2,500 later we got our van back and headed home to Houston. About 4 days later the car started struggling to shift gears and the transmission went out! We towed the car on a trailer back to Cates so they could fix it again. It took them TWO weeks with our van to IDENTIFY the problem and they said they will try to have it fixed next week, but no guarantee on when it will be done. I’m very upset with their lack of communication, as I have had to call them each week for an update. They have not called once to tell me anything– even when it was done the first time, they had it sitting in their lot without any notification! I am very dissatisfied with the service and I would not recommend them to anyone.
