Don’t be fooled by the perceived size of the store from the outside(it’s narrow, but goes quite a ways in) or its location(a strip mall), Oakdale has an impressive variety of beers, wines, and liquors, ranging from bargain to higher-end products. Quite a lot of the store focuses on wines, both imported and domestic. Beers are mostly in the back, with quite a few brands chilling in the coolers. I saw quite a few better-name brands of liquor too. The prices are generally competitive. Some of the 1.5L bottles of the mass-produced wines(e.g., Barefoot, Yellowtail) were about $ 1 a bottle more than I’ve seen elsewhere, but everything else was competitive for the area. Plus it’s convenient. When you go in, you’ll see lots of people inside matching their beverage choices to their Market Basket groceries.

I love this place. They have a really good price for 3 Olives Vodka 1.75 liter in fact the best price I have seen around ever. They have a large selection of product, good prices and I have never had a bad experience in there. Check em out!

A few weeks ago I needed to pick up some beer for a family party. i stopped into the Oakdale Liquors as it was on the way to my destination. Though they did have a wonderfully large selection of product, plus a few micro-brews that I haven’t seen in many places, I’m not sure I’d shop there again. As I walked up to the counter to check out the manager was reprimanding an employee. He rang up my order rather hastily and was somewhat rude to me as he was occupied with going over procedure with the employee he had just reprimanded in front of me. I am all for keeping your employees performing at peak level, but I was not comfortable as a customer in that situation. I think the selection is great, but the service left much to be desired.
