Bigger than expected inside. Nice clean food is excellent. Went there for dinner last week. Staff was friendly and efficient. The owner Dave came over to check and make sure everything was good. Will be going back.

We live close and have frequented the Luna Rossa many times. David the owner is pleasant and is there to please. The quality and quantity of food is simply over the top. A must visit! Recently I had the Luna Rossa cater my wife’s surprise retirement party for 20 guests. The food was delivered by David himself in a «hot box» and was amazing. We had Italian as well as Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Marsala. Homemade bread too! So many of our guests commented on the superb food! Thank You David and the Luna Rosa for making this night special, a job well done!!!

Pancetta is not Oscar Meyer bacon! Once again, it pains me to come across a restaurant with so much potential, but blows it with poor execution. With only two tables being used during lunch, one has to wonder what gives? Being greeted by a wave from across the restaurant. The two servers hardly even got up from their slumber. I sat at a booth over looking an open kitchen with two gentlemen in attendance. My associated asked for a soda water, no ice. This obviously weeded our spaced out server, because she never took my drink order. We were given bread accompanied by a saucer with canola oil and a few chili flakes. Really? Can’t even toss in dried parsley leaves? Unimaginative and sad. I ordered the pasta carbonara. Carbonara is an Italian pasta dish from Rome, based on eggs, Pecorino cheese, pancetta and black pepper. Spaghetti is usually used as the pasta; however, fettuccine, rigatoni or linguine can also be used. This place used cheap, deep fried slab bacon instead of pancetta! They also used a criminal amount of frozen peas as filler! Probably used imitation cheese too. Look. If your talents are spread too thin, just focus on the basics. Please don’t mislead and lie to your customers. I can get over the fact you need to hire moron waitstaff to hold down your piss poor lunches, but don’t try to sneak the incorrect recipes and inferior products by us!

Party of 4 — 350.00 later and one of the entrees was a chicken ceasar salad another was carbonara. Octopus appitizer was no more than boiled octopus with cannoloni beans with sauteed rabi and over cooked garlic. Please! Prices are ridiclous. If I wanted to eat for beacon hill prices I would have gone to Beacon hill. Live and learn.

I was craving shrimp fra diavolo but they didn’t have it. But they were more than happy to make it for me to the exact specifications. Shrimp with linguini and fra diavolo sauce. It was amazing and just enough heat. Can I just add also. Their bread is to die for. I think it’s sourdough taste but in an Italian bread cut. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I definitely will be back again

Once my husband and I discovered Luna Rossa we have definitely been there at least once a month! Everything is always fresh and the staff is so welcoming. I have been getting something different almost every time I go recently and everything is always amazing! The specials are always delicious too! We usually sit at the bar because it’s such a nice atmosphere… We are due for a visit again soon! If you are looking for Italian food in the Tewksbury area this is the place to go for sure! Yum!

Excellent!!! We have been here many times and love it. The Italian décor and music is fantastic. Every time we have eaten here the manager has come over, sometimes more than once! I love that! The specials are always amazing and in season. Recently I had the cod with fennel orange salad. It was so light and refreshing for spring. The sole which is always on the menu is great. I’ve also had the steak, short ribs and many of the apps. All very, very good. The wait staff is fun, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We have never waited a long time for our food or drinks. I’ve sat at the bar with a friend and had apps and drinks, and had a full four coarse dinner with my hubby and friends. It is excellent every time. Desserts are so yummy. You will not be disappointed in the Boston Cream Cake!!! The cocktails are always good. The Limoncello martini is fabulous and there are many reasonably priced bottles of wine. They have catering and take out. I have not tried the pizza yet but have seen it come out of the kitchen many times and it looks and smells amazing!!! Prices are very good and location is very easy to get to with a large parking lot. Try it, you’ll love it! One of my all time fav top 3!

Went there today and had a great experience. The fried calamari was so tender and tasty. For the main course I chose the veal saltimbocca and the person I was with chose the chicken marsala. We both couldn’t stop eating because it was so good. –Parking lot is a little tight. –Food is awesome. –Server was friendly and he was always checking to make sure we were ok. –Atmosphere and décor was great I will be going back!

We had a gift certificate for $ 50 and decided to use it for take out. I’m Glad we didn’t have to pay for the food we got. I ordered the chicken braciolatini, hubby ordered the braised pork shank. The chicken was so over cooked it was actually difficult to swallow, the veal was dry and came without the sauce. The risotto was actually real risotto this time but so terribly salty it was inedible. We waited quite a while since ordering from Luna Rossa hoping the food has improved. We won’t be going back anytime soon. At 6:30 on a Sunday night the place was empty. Side note: As an American of Italian descent I was appalled by the mural on the wall of a family in Italy eating pasta with their hands like apes.

Tried again. Didn’t have much time(½ hr or so) so I ordered the Gnocchi again. Sigh. From the beginning — Crusty Bread was really good & the dipping oil was the BEST I’ve had anywhere — the grated cheeses in it really makes it tasty. The service was a bit slow, but it was lunch time so I get it. Unfortunately my Gnocchi were very very soft. The sauce is great, the grated cheese on top is great, the parsley gives it a bit of an earthly taste — but still no go on the gnocchi. I explained to the server — Put them in boiling water — once they float they’re done. No time to get something else. I put them in the fridge when I got back to work and ate them for dinner — the chill made them more al dente, but cold. I will try again — next time something different… The veal parmigiana looks excellent. Fingers crossed.
