Good Taste Chinese Take-Out

Delicious hot and sour. Amazing chicken and broccoli… And easy to order! All this, mixed with quick delivery makes this a 4 star take out/​delivery joint. Otherwise, you don’t want to eat inside… :)
Ordered a bunch of time to Cresskill and picked up as its close by Stop and Shop in Tenafly.

Just got take out last night for dinner & wanted to give a shout out to Good Taste. Been going here on & off for a couple of years & enjoying their boneless spareribs & shrimp and lobster sauce ! They’re one of the few that make it «old style» with the ground pork & no peas/​carrots, yum & great comfort food. Staff is always friendly & welcoming. Thanks for our great tasting dinner :)

Great food and not expensive. This is the best in the area without spending a fortune. Good for when you want traditional Chinese food-​nothing fancy.

Newest review as loyal customized we often order from here but recently they have a new chef and the food has significantly gone downhill, if we find another local take out we will change its been too many times with food problems. what a shame though this was our absolute favorite

I work in Englewood Cliffs — and this is one of the company’s go-​to local Chinese place to order take-​out and delivery service.
Me and a few work buds have ordered regularly from Good Taste — and the food is consistently good (and dare say tasty). Well, I have a hard time judging Chinese, but DO know the food from here is always — OK, TASTY. There — I said it.
Maybe they should be named Good and Tasty.
And as for the «House Wonton» being like crack — they were good — but hardly, er, «crack».
And how does she know about crack, btw?

Trust me on this… ‘ve been to China many times, Joes Shanghai and many other nyc chinese joints, and even mcat studying binges— point being I have had my share of chinese food and there is no place that even comes close to their food. The lady who serves me food is always so welcoming and always gives me best service. I can go on and on about this place but words cannot describe my affinity for this corner gem. Try the beef chow fun it is scary good!

Good Taste is a delightful mix of old and new, traditional and original. They have a fantastically extensive menu featuring a dazzling array of tasty chinese food options. Some liken the effects of eating this chinese food to those of doing hard drugs. Be sure to check out the House Special Wontons!

Good Taste for Good Reason!
Used to swing by this place for lunch sometimes when I worked in the area. Still drop by in the summers if my friends want to play basketball near here.
Of course, this is your typical Chinese food joint so don’t go in expecting too much from the 4 stars (rating might be indirectly inflated because of my love for Chinese food). There’s no secrets or hidden orders (that I know of) or anything like that, but everything I’ve ordered/​stolen from friends has been delicious.

For Chinese takeout this is the best in Tenafly. I’ve tried other «fancier «looking places but they are not as good and more expensive. You can order online and pick up within about 10 mins. Good food, good price, friendly staff.

This is the best Chinese take out in our town. Consistent good food.

Foods ok, but many of their dishes only come in one size. My biggest gripe though is that the people behind the counter are so busy answering the phone that they ignore the customers standing in front of them.

Genera Tao’s chicken. They use chicken with too much fat. Its covered so not many people will notice but I dont think they use quality meat. Poor quality food. Dont get me wrong. I dont expect too much from Chinese food.

A Tenafly Institution! The House Special Wontons are incredible and an absolute must order. Fried dumplings are also fantastic. Great food and its ready very quickly, even when they’re busy. The place is never slow so that should tell you something! Been eating here since high school in the early 90s.

This is our «go to» chinese take out place. The food is pretty good! They’re very fast and affordable! They offer low fat versions too (Steamed, sauce on side, brown rice, etc.) Funny I seem to judge a place by it’s soup! We like won ton and this has a good won ton. If you’re looking for take out. this is great! (in the summer they have tables outside, so you could have your meal under a picnic table).

We like sweet sour chicken and food always ready fast.

4 fast food type stars. Although I have not lived in Cresskill in almost 15 years, I still have my menu numbers committed to memory. The wontons, affectionately called «crack dumplings» are made in house, and their roast pork fried rice has never included peas and carrots (very important).
Don’t show up at Good Taste expecting:
–a maitre d’
–a restroom
–a table
–chair (s)
However, if you enjoy picking up the phone and ordering an entire menu section’s worth of food and having it ready for pick up in 10 minutes and be entirely edible and reasonably priced, knock yourself out and give them a call.

When I was in Tenafly, my mate at the time took me to one of the few places to this place to get food because it was one of the few places that were of walking distance.
We ordered a sweet and spicy vegetarian rice box and a kung pao chicken rice box. To my dismay, both rice boxes taste the same and they use way too much cornstarch as a thickening for their sauce. The amount of oil they used was just insane.
The only thing I find edible in the spicy vegetarian rice box was the white rice. Chinese take out places are usually mediocre anyways but this was just a plain disappointment. One of the few take out places in the middle of nowhere and their food is not even okay tasting? :-(The only thing that prevented me from giving them a 1 star was because this was of walking distance from where I staying at the time.
If you’ve got a car, drive to find a better location.

A local take out place popular with the day laborers: it has great value for the money and the food is typical for this type of Chinese takeout place. There is nothing too special about the menu but we do like its hot and sour soup.
