If I was the owner of this restaurant I would be embarrassed. We arrived at 7 and didn’t get the first dish of our 4 party group delivered until 8:23. And the other dishes arrived independently over the next 15min. But 2 our if the 4 were totally WRONG! I’m giving it a second star because at least it was tasty and the waitress was sweet… But sorry, for a $ 150 meal, I need a better experience than that!

This place was super busy, when we got there the table next to us was complaining about how long they had been waiting for their dinner. So I began to worry a little bit. However I was pleasantly surprised by the service and we only waited for about 30 minutes. The food was amazing. I had the chicken kabobs and my husband the Soro Grill special. Both were very tasty and good portions. Our waitress was spot on and we actually received a free dessert for checking in on Unilocal!Would recommend it!

Food was good and the service was great. The owner was very welcoming. He gave my friends a military discount and thanked them for their service. Dinner was a little pricey but it was still a great night out.

Good food but had a server who seemed to be in her own world. Forgot to bring several items but had a ready excuse for the oversights. Like, requested tzatziki at a Greek café she said they ran out and she told us they had to make a new batch not knowing the receptionist had already went and got us some. Then after we were almost done with our gyros she drops it off and see we have finished them she says, tzatziki goes really well with your french fries. Had to laugh.

Can’t give 0 stars !!! Our«waiters» was so slow that we got our silverware 45min after seating ! You can only imagine when the food came out ! Straw for my water came 15min after the glass of water arrived . Ridiculous.

We literally walked out after one bite of the vegetarian dolmas. They were hard! The grape leaf itself was very tough and the rice inside was undercooked. They were supposed to come with hummus and none was brought out. Also the waitress made my boyfriend and i feel incredibly uncomfortable. She was giving off a pretentious ass vibe. Skimpy portions, high prices, and shitty quality food. Huge disappointment!

This small Mediterranean restaurant is located in downtown Temecula off the corner of 6th Street. My friend really was looking forward to trying out some food from this place after looking over their menu. The outside patio of this place is rather large, it almost seemed bigger than the inside dining area. The restaurant looked very organized and cleaned yet a bit hard to maneuver with how many tables and heaters they had in the patio. The walls dressed up with portraits of the actual outlaw Zorro had a cool touch. The place also had a huge selection of wines to choose from holed up in the seating area as well. Our server did a fine job at greeting us along with the owner of the restaurant who presented himself at the table. This was all a nice and personal, very welcoming. For their menu they serve the typical Mediterranean and Greek dishes you’d expect from a Middle Eastern restaurant. They have both lunch and dinner menus and plenty of drink options from their full bar. Hummus is always a favorite along with some fresh pita bread. Here you get a choice of three different types for about seven bucks. I expected the clinatro-jalapeño( ) not to be too spicy as most places seem to tone it down, but Soro’s made theirs with plenty of kick. The hummus was very creamy and had nice balance of olive oil on the top to add to the flavor. Their pita bread( ) was kind of a mix up, some of it was soft and then the bottom pieces were actually quite crispy on the outside. I personally enjoyed the crispy texture of the pita bread, but some people may disagree with this. My friend had ordered some dolma grape leave wraps as well and when the plate came out it was astounding how small these things were. Using the fork as scale( ) you can see how small these things are, and they were also ice cold like they had recently been frozen or something. Not very good for $ 9, this place is making a killing off selling these things. The chicken shawrama sandwich( ) I ordered here came wrapped in a soft pita bread for seven dollars. The inside had a few pieces of chicken, sauce, fresh tomato, onions, and lettuce. While the chicken was super moist and flavorful, they only added about three or four super small pieces of them( ) to it. The sauce wasn’t very thick but tasted delicious. It’s too bad they had to skimp out on the chicken though. My friend’s lentil curry soup( ) came out luke warm and looked a bit weird. We had never seen a lentil soup with noodle things in it. The lentils were cooked decently but the soup lacked taste. My friend had to add a boat load of pepper to it, because it came so unseasoned. Sorro’s seemed like a good stop for lunch, but the food was very lackluster here and pricey to top that. While the restaurant looked really nice, the staff was very friendly; the food just didn’t do it for us. The prices were a bit steep for what they were offering here and I kind of wish we had tried a different place. Hopefully dinner here is a different meal for most people.

We really had an unpleasant experience last night. It started off with relatively slow service. Our server was nice but not really the brightest. We decided to order the new special drink after she told us it was amazing and would give us a nice buzz to start our night. When we received the drinks they were extremely salty and undrinkable. It was disgusting. They used salt instead of sugar and they made us extremely sick to our stomachs. We told them and after waiting another 5 minutes we finally got new drinks. And even though they were better, definitely not worth the $ 12.50 per drink! It took us about three sips and they were each gone, with hardly any alcohol in them. It was not worth the ridiculous amount of money. I am used to spending a good amount on signature cocktails but these were not even worth it. The meal was alright, unfortunately terribly spoiled by the salty first drinks. His meal was decent, but I ordered the gyro nachos and my pita chips were inedible and almost burnt from being fried too long. I just ate the toppings off the top. When we received our bill we were both in shock that the two drinks somehow managed to cost more than the leg of lamb he ordered! And to make matters even more interesting, we gave the server a $ 20 and a card for the rest of the amount to be put on there and she managed to disregard the $ 20 and swipe the whole card. She apologized but didnt offer to fix it and it felt like we were being rushed out. We left with literally bad tastes in our mouths and sour stomachs. Unfortunately, my date was sick the entire night because of that drink and meal.

Interesting restaurant in Old Town Temecula. We were trying to find a local, family owned restaurant, and we lucked out with parking behind the location. We heard the owner loudly addressing staff frequently throughout our meal, and rather than being an intrusion, it was authentic and from the heart, adding to the experience. Were warmly greeted by Eileen, who was unhappy with the tablecloth and insisted on changing it… very attention to detail oriented, knew the menu well and was quite helpful. Hummos and pita are made from scratch, daily. We had to have it, the«original» hummos was delicious, and the perfect portion size($ 7.00). Smooth, creamy bold and rich flavors with the perfect consistency. Some of the best I have ever eaten. We paired the hummos with a Sycamore Lane Pino Grigio($ 7.75) for her and a Sycamore Lane Cabernet for me, same price. We asked for local wine, I’m confused is this local(Temecula) wine? Lunch main was a Greek salad with chicken for me($ 14.00) and Spring Fusion salad for her($ 15.00). Requested no olives in my salad, as I hate the flavor. They either forgot and had to pick the olives out by hand, or that salad is pre-mixed. Either way, there were about 12 pieces of olive in my salad, yeck!!! The rest of the salad was delicious, and the chicken was seasoned and cooked perfectly. There is true art in the preparation of this chicken. Wanted to finish the meal with a sweet, so we requested a baklava. They did not have any, for some reason, they were out… Was crushed, crushed I tell you!!! Mr. Soro, I wanted very much to give your restaurant the 4 stars that it deserves, but unfortunately, the details of our lunch did not allow that to happen. Very disheartening, as it was, for the most part, a joy to dine at this establishment.

Such a disappointment yesterday for lunch… Came here with a two girlfriends for a quick bite to eat and our server was more concerned with my friends type of lipstick and her tattoos rather than remembering our order. We had to ask several times for things. One being salt, she said she couldn’t find any, so WE got up and grabbed one from another table that was unoccupied. We started with the hummus trio, and there was something really off about the original. Tasted just like a plain garbanzo bean, missing garlic, lemon, seasoning. Just not good. The other two flavors were very yummy. We told our server and she said she would let Pappa(?) know. Well we didn’t get a new one nor taken off the bill. And we didn’t eat it. Then our sandwiches were all very bland. I had to ask for extra taziki sauce and use salt(which I never do). My friends chicken was on the verge of being raw. She literally spit it out. It’s unfortunate because we work just one street down and go out often between appts. But we will not be returning here.

Working with Ashley Soro to plan our Wedding Rehearsal dinner for a party of 25 at Soro’s Mediterranean Grill was such a pleasant experience. She was so great at explaining the menu and pricing to me and was always helpful in answering any of the MANY questions I would come up with and email her about. For party’s this size they seat you at a large table on the beautiful outside patio. This made the night even more special and intimate for us to be with our family and friends the night before out«Big Day». On our way to the restaurant we ran into some unexpected traffic which made our guests wait for a bit(hate that but, what could we do?). On arrival our waitress greeted us right away and after apologizing profusely for making her and the guests wait, she was so cool and understanding, letting us know everything was going just fine and she proceeded to fill me in on the food and drink set ups and timing. The restaurant was even kind enough to let us bring in our own special bottles of wine– for a reasonable corkage fee of course. ;) The FOOD and SERVICE was FANTASTIC! We started out with their Hummus Trio and warm pita bread. The Hummus, creamy and fresh. The Pita bread, warm and soft. For our Entrée’s, we picked from four choices: Chicken Curry(Indian style with a gourmet flare-so scrumptious), Soro’s Beef(Filet in a Burgundy wine sauce with mushrooms and onion), Majadra(a mixture of warm lentils, rice and onions-so flavorful, I had two helpings. Good for the vegetarians/Vegans), or Pasta Marinara(also a good choice for the vegetarians/vegans). All dishes were served with Soro’s Basmati rice too! Everything was so DELICIOUS! FLAVORFUL and FRESH! They served us Baklava for dessert which was okay but because my MOH was allergic to nuts they brought out this amazing chocolate moose in a martini glass. I took one look and my eyes bulged and I said I must have a glass of that fluffy, creamy chocolate and the waiter-so sweet-came out with one for me as well because he had seen and heard me coo over my best friends«special» dessert. Killer service, good vibes and a beautiful/romantic outside ambiance. What a wonderful evening it was and so special. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town. Big THANKS to Ashley and her team!

Great atmosphere and service. I had a gyro sandwich. It was fine, nothing amazing, nothing horrible. The hummus was also the same, good, not great, not horrible. There were several photos of Bill Walton, all autographed, hung up on the wall. I asked the waitress about those, and she said that Bill Walton was friends with Papa Soro, the chef and owner of the restaurant. We heard Papa a little while later, talking friendly words to someone who had just walked in. It’s rare that you ever hear someone speak that loudly without yelling, but wow, this guy is boisterous and does not need a megaphone to communicate. He seemed friendly, though.

To the poor waitress that said«excuse me» instead of «I’m sorry» lemme know if you want to press charges to your boss«papa» who yelled«I could fire you Now!!!» And«you disgust me!!!»(There were many more nasty things yelled) Lemme know. I’ve never heard anyone talk to an employee like how he did. The«nachos» had to be sent back because they were missing stuff and they still sucked. $ 50 for 2 beers and 2 small appetizers was my bad for ordering here. I do not support such severe workforce harassment or mediocre food so I won’t come here again.

Tonight was my second visit to Soro’s. I came here in September with a co-worker, and we had a magical experience. Excellent food and amazing service… with special attention from Papa Soro himself. I wanted my husband to experience the place and we finally got the opportunity tonight. He LOVED it. I was thrilled, as I’d hoped he would appreciate the delicious food and romantic atmosphere. And he DID. We were waited on by Harmony, and when she brought the bill, I noticed my husband writing a note on the back of it. I knew it was something sweet, so I grabbed it and read it to Harmony. See it below. Then Papa joined us and shared some of his vision for the future of Soro’s…his idea to add some special touches to the place. He was thrilled that we had thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and our entire dining experience, and let us know he hoped to see us again. If you want a truly unique ambience, outstanding cuisine, local wine choices and attentive service, then check this place out. You won’t be sorry. You’ll be stuffed, and happy, like we are right now.

This great restaurant is at the beginning of Old Town Temecula, just past the sign. One of the first things you notice is the outside dining area. This area was the nicest outside dining area that I saw in Old Town. Very nice if it’s not too hot! I sat out there for breakfast and it was very nice. I also had lunch inside too at the bar area. They have a very extensive menu and a wine list. I decided on the lamb shawarma. It was a very good portion served on top of hummus. Very good! They serve good portions. For breakfast I had lamb chops eggs benedict. Never had lamb for breakfast before. I didn’t need dinner and when I had lunch there and didn’t eat until dinner when I had breakfast there so you get your money’s worth. The owner was very friendly as were his staff. I felt very welcome. I would be a regular there if I lived in the area but I do hope to be able to return. Don’t worry, they have much more than lamb on the menu!
