HK Custom Cabinets

I try to give the business the benifit of the doubt but I have to write this review. I hired HK Custom Cabinets last October 2015 (a year ago) to build a custom stain grade desk for my home and it ended up turning into a not exactly what we asked for, a nightmare !
I guess the owner broke up with his finisher so my Job had two finishers on it… Basically it didn’t Match. Not only did it not match the pull out on my vertical cabinets and desk top were built wrong. It was hitting the other cabinets on the pull out and desktop was cut wrong. It just basically wasn’t going to work. So being I built rapport with the owner I was very patient in waiting and believing that he would fix the issue.
So as I waited for 6 – 7 months, I finally got cabinets that I had to settle for because he wasn’t going to redo the whole job because the finish work cost too much for him and he didn’t want to pay for the finishing on the whole Job just on what needed to be fixed! So not being left totally at a loss, and being that I already paid for it, I just settled for a prefinished Laminate.
Although It was a very nice laminate Metro Collection I felt more or less I had really no choice but to settle for what I Origionally didn’t ask for.
Still till this day I am waiting for the work to get done on the rollout and it’s not happening. I cant count the numerous number of times they say they will show up to finish and it just doesnt happen. Good luck getting a return phone call back in a timely manner. Hopefully they will keep there word with your project and no promise one thing and do another.
In conclusion HK is very capable in doing a good Job because I have seen other work that they have done but my experience has just not been a good one.
Murphys Law I guess… Hopefully they will show up and finish the roller on the roll out so I can give them a two star instead of a one star!
