Today was the first day visiting this restaurant and I forsee a favorite stopping place for a long time. This place is genuine and ready for anyone serious about what they eat. Today I had the Braised Angus Beef Brisket bowl and it was very good. You can tell that it was well seasoned and simmered to perfection. On a bed of brown rice with a grilled mixed of vegetables on top, this is truely a delight to the taste buds. There are so many options and well made selections that it was very hard to make a choice. I’m a regular guy with regular home grown taste from Wyoming and this place is right for anyone. It just felt good eating here!

Great food. Never disappointed. Friendly staff too. I recommend the Mac and cheese but all of their sides are really good. Such a good go to spot. Highly recommend!

Real food, real people, real experience. The food is awesome. Perfect date spot. It kinda throws you off, walking in seeing a buffet display of food… It is far from it. The food is unbelievable. Ribs are good. Burgers are bomb. Lamb is tender. Sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese are awesome sides. This place is about the food. Period. If you want a nice, relaxing, good eats spot … Check out bushfire. The service matches the food ! Check it out !

Overall good food. If this review were solely based on the food the review would be 5 stars. The rotisserie chicken, sides, salads and curry bowls are delicious. I wish I could give 5 stars but the customer service is consistently poor. The cashiers are at times rude and at least ¾ of our to go orders are wrong(missing food, improperly prepared per our requests…). Due to the lack of seating we usually order to go and I have to check the bag and every box every single time. When something is wrong, they are not apologetic nor do they offer to make things right. Also, the portions are very inconsistent so it makes ordering difficult.

My boyfriend and I just ate here and we really liked the concept of the restaurant. I ordered the lamb Mykonos burger with a side of kale slaw and he ordered the bbq pork bowl with brown rice. As he was eating the rice, he saw a super long flat piece that looked different from the rest of his circular rice. Needless to say, I immediately thought it resembled a maggot and brought it inside to show the gentleman we ordered our food from. He looked at it for about 5 seconds and said it was basmati rice and dropped it on the floor. I never write bad reviews, but because I’m almost positive that it was a maggot, and for the fact that he didn’t look at it long enough to make a suffice judgment, I felt like I had to. Took a picture of what we were questioning and added it to their photos… But besides the worm in our food, the restaurant had tasty food and a cool self-seat concept. –Update in response to the comment– This is Jake Bast. Show me a piece of basmati rice that looks even remotely like the«rice grain» pictured above. I was actually the one eating that meal, I wasn’t going to say anything considering it is an organic family owned restaurant that had a nice appeal to it, but because the employee handled this situation in the way he did and showed a lack of respect for my fiancé here we are. The«rice» pictured above was bloated, had ridges, and tiny legs on one side, just like a larvae would. Upon a quick Google search anyone can find that it is fairly common for rice and grains that are stored PROPERLY to have bugs or larvae inside of it. The original post was submitted in a fair and respectful manner, and even went as far as stating that the food was good. I am just going to reiterate one more time, I wasn’t going to say anything to begin with because I understand that things like this happen. It was never a question of health or safety, it is a matter of principle, when there is a bug or anything foreign in a meal you produce, you do not laugh or scoff at the customer that is trying to help you better your restaurant. Even if it was a mutilated piece of rice, you do not flick it on the floor after«inspecting» it for five seconds and embarrass your patron. It is called accountability, a simple apology can do amazing things. The pictures speak for themselves, you can be the judge.

This was a great find! Healthy food with light to hearty options that taste like their straight from your mother’s kitchen. Macaroni is the business! Staff is friendly and super helpful in helping narrow down what to order. Believe me, you’ll want to try a little bit of everything. Note though. there’s no dessert for those of you with a sweet tooth.

(Note: this review was written a little over two years ago I think. Just found it in my drafts and am posting now.). Came here for dinner on a whim. Had the free range half chicken with their signature sauce, rosemary potatoes, baked penne Mac-n-cheese and their wheat focaccia bread and their chilled water with citrus accents… This establishment takes great pride in their food quality and prep. I felt like this was home cooking with ingredients I would choose for my own kitchen prepared and served to perfection. Great job Bushfire Grill! You are one of the gems of this city. You guys deserve much more business and publicity… So I will do my part and share this great experience with my neighbors and friends.

Definitely worth trying out. It’s one of Temcula’s few ‘healthy’ restaurants. I could see why people might not even give it a chance. It’s tucked away in the Trader Joes shopping center, which usually requires at least one car honk to find a parking spot. The restaurant itself is tiny, but there’s plenty of shaded outdoor seating. When you walk in, there’s food lined up behind a glass, similar to Tenser Greens or Urban Plates, if you’ve ever been to one of those. You can order off the menu or select an entrée with sides that are displayed behind the glass. I went with the Thai curry bowl because there were good reviews of it on Unilocal. It was decent, but lacked the authentic Thai taste. I should have known that a healthy eatery wouldn’t do the best job with curry. I also ordered a lemonade and it was delicious. i definitely recommend trying one of their drinks.

Great food and service. The salads are to die for. The beer and wine selection are good too. The chicken is well cooked and moist. The Mac and cheese is tasty. Burgers are juicy and the veggie burger is great too

Pretty good. I got a bbq tri tip sandwich with sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. The meat was very juicy. They put the bread on your choice of wheat or white focaccia bread. Personally I don’t think it’s a good bread for a sandwich. The bread was good except it fell apart a little bit while I was eating it. The sweet Pittsburgh fries were the perfect amount of the thickness and the sauce it came with was good with it. Definitely want to come back and try more items. Highly recommend they have a appetizing selection of salads and everything seems fresh. Gotta try!

Really good, seemingly fresh food. A nice change here in town. Terrible location, both because of the parking and how it forced the restaurant to be laid out. Pricey. Totally willing to pay a premium for good quality, delicious food. But, the servings are modest and the sides are pretty steep. Lastly, the drink situation sucks. I hate paying the money for a can of soda. Trivial perhaps, but it’s non refillable and that bothers me. I sound more negative than I feel, because I like this place. It’s just these certain things keep me from coming back more often.

Maybe it had to do with the fact that I was starving, maybe it was just conveniently located next to FedEx, maybe it had to do with the«fresh, local, healthy» concept, maybe it was the intoxicating aroma wafting through the air… but whatever it was, I’m so glad I walked into BushFire! After a morning meeting that ran late, I found myself with a grumbling stomach and impatience settling in. So when I smelled BushFire when walking into FedEx a few doors down, I knew where I was going. Don’t let the small area and obscure location fool you; this place is ah-fkn-mazing! I had the braised lamb curry over brown rice, with the grilled veggies. My goodness, from the first bite(heaven) to the last(sad it was over), I couldn’t get over the complexity of flavors. The people are super friendly, the presentation is beautiful, and in case you missed my ranting, the food is mind-bogglingly off the hook! Looking forward to my next business trip to Temecula so I can gorge here once again and not feel guilty of being a glutton. Keep it up BushFire!

Probably my favorite restaurant in Temecula that I have been to! I love this place! I love how they serve grass-fed and organic meats! My favorites: –The en feugo burger-I love the spice, the bun and the bacon is awesome! –chipotle braised short rib– great flavor! Texture! I get it with garlic mashed potatoes and the veggies. –Panang chicken curry– so good! I get it with rice which balances the spice from the curry. I also love the sweet potato fries and the Mac n cheese. — — – Happy hour-half off beer and wine Parking-depending on the time of day the parking lot can be a bit crowded Service– I have always received great service

It was sheer luck that my son and I found Bushfire Grill on our way back home from Las Vegas. It quickly became one of those places, where we knew we’d be back. So when I discovered that they were opening up another restaurant in the San Diego area, I was excited, because it’s a much closer drive from where I live. My recommendation(if you’re not Vegan) is the Millionaire’s BLT. I like avocado slices added to my sandwich. It’s costs a little bit more to add, but totally worth it! Their butternut squash is also very delicious. Their food is very yummy!

Too bad this place isn’t close to home. I was in the area for work and had a great meal. I tried the lamb burger with gluten free bun and the kombucha on tap. I also had the brussel sprouts on the side. The lamb was tasty and the burger that I ordered had the perfect amount of heat. The bun was the best gf bun I have had. It was like a buttermilk biscuit that held together and was soft. The Kombucha was cold and tasty. If Bushfire were any closer to home I would be there multiple times a week. There were so many options including tri-tip, ribs, chicken, and salad. They had some great beers on tap as well. Their bacon looked amazing through the windows too. I hope I didn’t drool too much all over the glass. Not sure you can go wrong here.

We came here for the final dinner of my vacay in SoCal with my bestie Carrie B & Mom! The parking lot is lousy since it is shared by TJ’s, Burger Lounge and several other thriving businesses. The menu looks interesting, bowls, sandwiches, platters, family dinners, and kid plates along with a respectable wine list. You go up to the cashier, order, and they bring you your food. I ordered the brisket and there was no indication the dish was spicy. Unfortunately it was uncomfortably spicy for my crazy white girl taste. I could’ve eaten it but I was not in the mood. So I took it back to the cashier and asked to change meals. They asked what I ordered & why I wanted to change. I told them & they asked what I’d rather have. It was the tri tip. So I waited a few minutes & out came my new meal. I got cubes of tri tip on top of grilled veggies on top of brown rice. This second meal was less expensive but nobody offered me a refund of the difference. Bummer. They offer kombucha, ice tea, lemonade & bottled drinks which is great! They also have beer on tap & bottled wine. Happy hour 3 – 5. I went & checked out their bathroom to wash my hands & I was not impressed. It was grungy. Bummer! My Bestie really likes this place but me, not so much. I’d stick with Burger Lounge!

My husband and I came to Bushfire Grill for dinner for the first time last Friday around 7:35 pm. Bushfire Grill is located in the same plaza as Trader Joes(2 doors down actually) with plenty of parking. The menu board seems a little busy to read but if you pick up the menu at the front, it is easier to read. Anyways, this is what we ended up ordering: Free Range Chicken Bowl, $ 7.45 prior to tax– This bowl comes with a pretty generous portion of chicken breast meat, brown rice and grilled assorted vegetables. This bowl is definitely a filling meal on it’s own and quite good. The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. The brow rice was perfectly cooked, as it was not too hard or too mushy. And the vegetables were good. I had a choice of having sauce added on the side(free), which I chose the peri– peri sauce. I was afraid that it would be spicy, but it ended up being quite mild(which I like because I don’t eat spicy foods). Tri Tip Entrée, $ 13.95 prior to tax– This entrée comes with your choice of two sides. My husband ended up getting quinoa berry salad and a mixed green salad. This entrée also comes with bread, which my husband chose the whole wheat focaccia bread. The tri tip was good, but my husband wished there were more pieces(5 pieces), but did get full mostly from the sides of this entrée. The whole wheat focaccia was really moist and had almost like a soft cake texture. We both really liked it. This entrée also came with your choice of sauce on the side, which my husband picked this spicy barbecue. I didn’t have any since I am not a spicy eating person, but he liked the sauce. We both liked both of the side salads he picked(his favorite was the quinoa berry salad, but I really liked both. The side salad had Mandarin orange segments to give it an added sweetness). Sweet Potato Fries, $ 2.95 prior to tax(as an add on to an entrée price) — I decided to add on the sweet potato fries because I was just in the mood for them. But we barely finished everything because of all the food we had. I really liked these fries and have to say these are the best sweet potato fries I have ever had. Most places that serve sweet potato fries don’t have a flavor like this. Here you can actually taste the sweet potato, and it tasted fresh and authentic(not artificial with added fillers). I also had some kind of sauce added on the side, which I do not know what I had, but was good. My husband also got a Stone Delicious IPA, $ 6 prior to tax, which he liked. I didn’t have any. — — — — — — — — — – (Total= $ 32.56 after tax) When we first arrived, there was 1 couple ahead of us and so wait time to order took a while. I think one of the reasons why it took a while is because the employee taking your order ask you quite a handful of questions. Questions include what sauce would you like on the side of your entrée or side, what type of sides would you like and if you would like bread with your entrée(if it comes with it) and what type. But aside from that(and luckily we only had this one couple ahead of us, but I can see how wait time to order can be longer than desired during busy times), wait time for our food was not that long. There are a few tables and chairs inside this eatery but the music was just so loud that I did not want to sit in. We ended up sitting in their little«patio» area that is covered. There is also an air conditioning unit, but it did not go on until towards the end of our meal. I didn’t understand why it was not turned on sooner because it was still rather warm out around this time. Anyways, food was delicious. I would definitely like to come back here again if in the area for another meal. And would love to try some the other sides. Also there is free, fast WiFi(BUSHFIRE1650… password all in caps).

Bushfire Grill is located in the health-centric part of this strip mall. Organic, gluten-free, free range, natural. I’d read rave reviews about their sandwiches and focaccia, so on my first visit, I asked what the staff recommended, and ordered that. The sandwich wasn’t what I expected, and the focaccia is just okay. The mac and cheese was pretty good though. And the salads looked fresh and delicious. Wanting to give them another chance, I tried the lamb curry bowl and liked it. I’ve also tried two burgers since they introduced them onto their menu. The first(Bushfire Original Burger) was lackluster, but at least the fries are good, especially with the peri mayo. The second, on my most recent visit, was better. The Short Rib Burger actually tasted good. I haven’t taken much liking to extra meat on top of a patty other than bacon, but this was okay. Then I realized it’s probably because the short rib on its on would probably be the best thing I’ve had on their menu. It has good flavor to it. Once I got to the back end of the burger, I’d already eaten through the short rib, so the beef on its own reminded me of the first burger. My conclusion is that their braised dishes and bowls are more flavorful than the sandwiches and burgers. I like their idea, but not always their execution. The service is usually okay, but there’s one girl who is always really nice and sweet. The space itself is cramped and the outdoor seating seems to have more room. The best thing about Bushfire is their lavender hibiscus lemonade, which is what I always get when I come in.
