I gave them 4 stars because of some fixable issues. I love their food, it’s tasty and my favorite is the Oxtail. My disappointment is when I buy bread or milk/anything in the freezer section it’s not good after couple hours or a day. Their milk goes bad the next day turns in to chunks floating in my coffee. As for their bread if you don’t check it properly it’ll have mildew on it. The fruits/vegetables are not that great looking but some are. Also please check your expiration dates and look at their products carefully before purchasing. This might be because of the way they store their their stuff. Even though expiration dates are a week or two until expire, they still go bad. I really hope they make these changes. Otherwise than that I like buying their canned stuff, meats, bags of rice/anything packaged or on the shelves that I can return if it’s bad. Sorry I reviewed them like this but it’s the truth and I want them to make these changes. Their lovely friendly people and always make sure you find the things you need. I will keep buying their food though.

Chicken or beef meals for $ 5 and fish meals go for $ 7 or $ 9. It comes with rice(w/or w/o beans), and sweet plantains. Great home cooking type food. Nice people. Parking can be hectic. Plus its a grocery so you can get Spanish ingredients. Definitely recommend you grab a plate if you are looking for a quick bite.

The prepared food is so good! Seriously a hidden gem in Teaneck, the Spanish food here is delicious and at such a great price. I personally love the oxtail, ribs and plantains. My mom and I got a whole platter of oxtail, ribs and rice for $ 12, not bad at all!

It’s like having a «bodega» in the middle of Bergen County. I enjoy the butcher counter. They have the regular staples plus more(oxtail, goat meat, etc). Don’t forget to look behind the counter for the hanging bags of chicharonnes. Eat with caution… Love the variety of Latin spices and dried peppers. I needed dried chipotle and guajillo peppers for a recipe and they had an overabundance. To continue with my love affair, the hot food buffet is such a great lunch option. Everything is take out and sold by the pound. Give me that ox tail stew on top of some rice and beans! For produce, they do have some hard to find stuff but I prefer the freshness at the farmer’s market.

In September 2011 this really terrific neighborhood grocery store opened and it’s been a hit ever since. True to the heritage of its Hispanic owners, you’ll find Central and South American specialties as well as Boar’s Head delicatessen products. There’s a wonderful prepared food section where you can get a king sized take out dinner for a very good value. You’ll also find an excellent fresh produce section, fully stocked dairy counters and an amazing butcher department in the rear. Prices are very competitive to the nearby big name supermarkets. As clean as a whistle with a helpful and friendly staff, it’s no wonder this store is such a success.
