The Best Buy that was in Southgate and took over the food court in southland mall. I’ve known you my whole life, but I never did give you a proper number. I do come to this store to shop for electronics that I want. Sometimes we even just come here to browse around. This is usually the best way to kill time. But I am one of those people who like to tangibly interact with the product before actually making a decision whether to buy or not. The store is pretty organized for the most part. It’s not like the other big giant best buy box stores, this guy had to make do with the space it acquired. The employees are usually pretty good with helping out customers, but that depends during the season. If you’re here around Christmas season, good luck with service. It’s the season, not the store. I’ve never had a bad experience in this shop. Once you’ve found an associate, they’ll be happy to help you out with any questions you might have about a product. The only thing can cite is that stock personnel and sales associates wear the same color polos. This usually confuses people, but it’s not really a big deal for me. Thank you very much best buy for being there. I definitely like this spot better than the one at the Hills. Follow me on Instagram and snapchat: rodtorres3

One of the things I like about this Best Buy store is that it has the higher end Magnolia Shop. The good is that the Magnolia Shop workers selling their higher end TVs and receivers tend to know their stuff more than the other employees in the store. Almost seems as though to work in the Magnolia department you have to know what you are talking about. I’m a techie and I get discouraged when the general techs on the floor are trying to feed me bogus information. As soon as I asked a technical question to their employees it will take me about 3 seconds to determine if they know what they are talking about. Some try to baffle with BS whereas if you are lucky you can catch a knowledgeable employee, from experience most are found in the Magnolia department. Another nice aspect of Best Buy is that they will now meet Amazon’s prices, as long as the item is sold by Amazon proper and not a 3rd party. Best Buy has a list on on-line vendors they will price match. I often begin my search on Amazon since I can sort out the reviews from other techs to hear of the pros/cons of items. After settling on an item I then look for prices and to see if I can get it local. Best Buy often has the same electronic gadget but often for a few bucks more. Since they will meet Amazon’s price I head over with the printout and get the item locally. I prefer local purchases especially with more expensive items since I’m not having to worry about the UPS or Fed-ex guy throwing my parcel on the porch etc. Best Buy is also close and easy to return to if something was damaged. PROS: — Price match with Amazon(sold by Amazon only) — Can see the item — Can pick up right away — Easy returns — Magnolia Shop employees tend to be more knowledgeable than general employee CONS: — Some employees won’t admit they have no idea what they are talking about — Always want to push insurance — Short return policy on some electronics — May try to charge restock fee?
