Great service and great food in paradise. Their breakfast is one of the best when traveling to Islamorada. The ambiance and view are spectacular. The staff is also very friendly and attentive to its customers.

Holy yummyness! So happy we found this place via Unilocal.Arrived there today 10 minutes before they opened. Sat outside by the water. Beautiful view! It was lucky we got there early, since the waterfront view patio filled out quick. My husband ordered their country Benedict and I got avocado, tomato, cream cheese, and back on wheat toast(forgot what it was called now)… We were blown away with how good the food was. Fresh and delicious. Not expensive either and is definitely targeted toward the locals. Our server and all other staff were so very nice and friendly. Will definitely come back there when in the area.

Nice offering for the family. Lovely place with a great little view of the canal. May just be used to Texas hospitality — finding it hard to beat here in Florida, but food was great.

We had a fabulous breakfast at Made2Order. Very pleasant sitting on the deck, good service. I had the best veggie omelette I’ve ever had, accompanied by delicious fresh fruit. Lots of amazing choices in the menu, all interesting and varied. I’d return here again in a minute.

Absolutely fantastic menu with original items and service. Outside seating is the best but may have to wait a little more unless you get there early. This has become my favorite place for breakfast in the area and all all of my visits have been equally great. Nice docking if you are coming by boat and easy to get to.

This place is the best stop for breakfast or lunch in the upper Keys. Sit outside along the water or inside with the air conditioner. Wherever you sit you will find the best food and service. Brakefest. menu is very diversified, what ever You order, from bluberry pankes or a wide verity of eggs you can’t go wrong. There muffins are especially good. Lunch is great from wraps to burgers or a salad, your quest for a good meal will be satisified.

Came in — had the Islander… It was sooooooo good I’ve been dreaming about it ever since — bread, cream cheese, bacon, egg, tomato, avocado … Breakfast sandwich heaven!!! Just the right size for me. Definitely worth the drive!

Service was a little slow, but you’re on island time. Every thing that was ordered was excellent, came out quickly and hot, and the coffee was good to boot. What is better than dining on a dock?

Had lunch there yesterday. Great outside area along a canal. The lunch selection was pretty broad except for salads. Gave me an excuse to have the sirlon quesadilla which was very good. Fortunately I’d just burned off 1100 calories on a Paddleboard. Service was serviceable. Looking forward to trying breakfast there.

Great place to visit by boat. Parking is a little tight. Outside and inside dining. Staff is pleasant and quick, food has always been great for breakfast, brunch and lunch.

Good hangover breakfast. I ordered the fajita breakfast. Came with 3 soft tacos which was nice and filling. The onions were a bit overpowering and the potatoes that came with it were probably from yesterday so they were kinda shriveled up and dry. My boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy which was by far the best thing anyone ordered. The biscuit was so soft and flakey and the gravy delicious and full of sausage. Yum. Someone else at our table got the heart attack which looked good but I didn’t try it . Place needs a little love and upgrades. Pretty old fashioned inside and bathroom was weird. 2 toilets but in the same room. You can wash your hands while pee lmao. Overall not a bad restaurant but I’m not doing backflips to come back.

The outside seating looked delightful, but there was a 45 minute wait so we sat indoors, which is not lovely, in fact pretty grim. There were plenty of tables. Our(surly) waitress was totally inept. She got beverages for the whole dining room before taking orders. We were«competing» with the diners outside to get our orders in. Loooong story short(45 – 50 minutes) our food arrived — everyone’s dish was totally overcooked. I left my dried out mahi mahi uneaten.

Ugh. Waited 15 minutes to have someone even discuss seating, had no idea to be seated outside was a different waiting area. Ended up indoors because during our time waiting inside the outside area filled up. Wish someone told us or there was a SIGN!!! Very quiet unfriendly waitress– I get that it was busy but she was so darn unfriendly. We tried to stay positive, really we did, until after one hour later our food arrived and mine was the wrong item, sides for the others were either wrong or missing. Too bad, we heard great things about it. AVOID when busy and save yourselves time and frustration.

The wait was very long and the service was just okay. Although, i believe the wait was due to the understaffed waiters and the crowd that arrived for lunch. The food was good, but it was not worth the wait.

Birthday brunch was beautiful here! With an exceptional patio overlooking a docking area where manatees swim around, what outdoor dining experience could be better? On my birthday(NYE,) we waited about 30 minutes to be seated. In that time, I felt so sorry for the staff. They were working so hard but they were noticeably understaffed and flustered. Once we were seated and had ordered, our food wait wasn’t too bad. I ordered an omelet AND french toast. Cheers, 29! It was not your run-of-the-mill thrown together breakfast. There was a culinary master in the kitchen working with fresh ingredients and ace spices. The food itself was well worth the wait.

Made 2 Order is one of those inconspicuous restaurants that you may pass up if you’re not paying attention; which is my kind of place. I’ve been here several times for brunch, the prices are reasonable, the food is fresh and the outside waterfront dining area is very peaceful and relaxing. They have an inside area and a smaller outside waterfront deck area. Unless you arrive early, you will most likely have a to wait a bit for the outside area. Their breakfast is out of this world. The first time I came, after reviewing multiple Unilocalers, I decided to go for the Tropical French Toast. It was amazing! You didn’t need to add syrup or anything to it and I actually felt like I was eating dessert because it was so tasty. The second time I came, I decided to try another Unilocal favorite; the Very Berry Pancakes. Again, they were out of this world fabulous. The berry butter that it is served with is so good, I could just eat that alone! We have also tried the Crab & Corn Chowder and Shrimp Wrap. Both were extremely fresh and delectable. Being that this is a hop, skip and a jump from my house, I need to make a better effort to come here when I’m craving waterfront brunch without the big city crowd.

Excellent food, great service and a good price. As it says on the cup, «Nothing Famous, Just Better.» That’s pretty much it. Solid food and a nice atmosphere. We sat outside on the waterfront, and it was beautiful.

I loved the crab cake Benedict. Really good food. Good service, and very pleasant ambience. We were sitting on the water. I’ll come back in the future.

The only reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars was because when we were seated the table was still dirty and sticky. No one really cleaned it. Other than that it was a great experience. The service was prompt and nice. Our waitress was amazing and very helpful. When we asked what to get on the menu she quickly gave us her favorites and we took it from there. I got the Islander. It was so good!!! What a great combination of ingredients to make a superb sandwich. I also ended up getting the French toast because my fellow Unilocalers recommended it. WOW!!! It was so good! The orange butter is delicious. The French toast was moist but not TOO moist. I hate when French toast is soggy and it’s far from. My hubby got the grouper Reuben. That was the gem of the meal. It was so flavorful I definitely recommend it. Great food. I will return!

Stopped in based on reviews from Unilocal. The food was great, however, service was horrible. It took us over 20 minutes to receive our order once we placed it. We enjoyed the breakfast fajita, biscuits and gravy and the BLT, everything tasted fantastic. Waitress never came to check on us and we had to flag down the greeter to receive refills. We also had to ask the greeter for our check. It took our waitress about 15 minutes to give us the check and maybe another 15 to get our change. Could have been a 5 star review based on the food but the service was definitely 1 star.

After visiting the keys for years I finally had the chance to eat at This waterfront dining gem. We had the chance to sit out on the back deck overlooking the canal on a beautiful sunny day and even brought the dog out with us. I ordered the Crab & Corn chowder which is considered«spicy» however it was actually very tasteful. I was drawn to having a form of dolphin or Mahi for a quick lunch bite and I made the right choice with the«Dolphin Melt» which is blackened Dolphin with Swiss cheese and cooked onions on a rye bread with a side of Sweet Potato Fries(addtl: $ 2.00). Overall the experience was great, the ambiance was what we were looking for and the food was delectable. A definite recommendation for anyone driving into Tavernier/Islamorada but don’t drive too fast you might just miss it!

You have to give this spot at least 3 stars for location. I never went inside, we sat outside on the canal which was so pretty. The service was great. The food was good too. Except… nothing was HOT. We both got fish and grits. The fish was very good but the grits were room temp. YUCK. Our friends got eggs with hash(don’t remember the name) and it also was cold. Tropical french toast was ordered for the 4 of us to share, since the reviews of it were so good. It was delicious, but also room temp. The orange butter was incredible.

Great breakfast — the omelette was a good size and perfectly made. My friend got the tropical french toast, which she inhaled and then regretted that she inhaled because she should have savored it. Service was good, prices reasonable — what more could you ask for?

Made 2 Order is a culinary gem. If I lived in the area, I’d be there for breakfast two or three times a week. It’s the kind of place that can get addictive. First, let me compliment the service. I LOVE restaurants that understand the yin and yan of food and service. Great food is totally undermined by slipshod service. Made 2 Order takes care of you! The wait staff is attentive without being in the way. Everything arrives at your table at the precisely right moment. Coffee never cold; cup never empty. Food arrives hot and delicious. Frequent checks ensure diners’ needs are met. Thank you. The food is creative and delicious. I chose the Bayou Omelet. Shrimp and Andouille, oh yeah!. .. and eggs cooked perfectly. The missus had tropical fruit and French toast. Neither of us talked too much during the meal, simply because our mouths were always full. Finally we finished, looked at each other, just sighed and smiled. A great meal is like a great wine. It caresses the palate in deliciously memorable ways. After experiencing Made 2 Order, a trip down US-1 would be just another humdrum ride without a stopover for the best breakfast in The Keys.

I reserve my 5 stars for places that I am all around wowed. This is one of them. The service was outstanding — friendly, prompt, and attentive. The food: The tropical French toast was literally the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The orange butter is a must — no syrup needed. Moist, flavorful, all around heavenly. It is a must have while visiting the keys and I will make sure to come back here on EVERY visit. Hubby had the Islander — basically a BLT with egg but they also add cream cheese that he described as surprisingly good. We both had to resist licking our plates. Love this place and we will definitely be back.

I loved this place. First of all, the outdoor seating has a really nice view of the water and the atmosphere is very casual and laid back. The food was very good as well. I ordered the very berry pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were delicious on their own, but they were also served with a raspberry sauce that was sweet. The bacon was perfectly crispy, but not burnt, which is the way I like it. The staff was very pleasant and our food was served quickly. Also, we had dogs with us and the staff gave us water bowls for them, which was very kind of them to do. Overall, I recommend this spot to anyone who loves breakfast.

My disclaimer is I am basing this on one visit and one meal. This is a really cute place with an outdoor seating facing the water where you can overlook yachts. They had a great soundtrack playing. I got the hogfish and grits. The hogfish was perfection, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly fried. My grits with cheese and bacon could’ve used melted in cheese and some salt. Hubby got the shrimp sausage omlette and really enjoyed that. He also felt that the potatoes could have used salt. Altogether, a good meal and a solid option.

I went here with one of my friends for breakfast \brunch on a Sunday. We had read to make sure we sat outside on the water/canal to get the best atmosphere. The inside didn’t seem too bad either though. I think they could liven the decorations of the place in entirety though. We got there around 930am and had to wait about 15 min for a table. The outside deck is pet friendly. Once we were seated we were waited on promptly. We had heard they were known for the croissant french toast battered in orange juice and served with orange butter. It was delicious. I didn’t even use syrup because it tasted great the way it was prepared. The food was brought out to us pretty quickly. The outside deck was full with people. The inside part of the restaurant wasn’t as packed and people were waiting outside instead of taking tables inside.

I have to quote a fellow Unilocaler«Not bad but not mind blowing either». Our non-stop road trip from Orlando to Isla Morada left us famished that we stoped at the first place we knew(thanks to Unilocal) to be pet friendly… which took us to Made to Order. We were seated immediately; we had our pup in tow so we sat outdoor seating. The view was of a canal with other small business littering the area and boaters passing by; very nice open view for people/boat watching. TIP: the restaurant backs into an inn, so if seated outside, sit away from the inns pool so you don’t get wet! Our waitress was somewhat attentive, however, not as friendly and as outgoing with us as she was with other customers. My biggest pet peeve was that she didn’t even offer anything for my pup to drink. One star down. I ordered the eggs Benedict which could have been amazing(it looked amazing) but. somehow it tasted like a whole lot of burnt butter? And the canadian bacon was well, something less to be desired(calm down guys– not all meat is created equal haha). Second star down. Alright guys those were my two cents. Hope this helps. Besitos Amanda

Went in Saturday morning around 9:30. Seated immediately outside, waitress came quickly and was very attentive. I ordered the tropical French toast and I can say this is a unique original treat, very good. Also ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy which were good as well. I ordered the grilled banana bread to go as I was quite full from my breakfast but I was eyeing it anyway. It was great! I am very satisfied with this experience and it will definitely become a routine stop while visiting the keys.

Great value and brunch spot in the keys. We stopped by on a recommendation from a friend and Made 2 Order did not disappoint! The best item we got was the French toast. It was created with croissant bread and dipped in a light orange based batter, served with orange butter. The best French toast I have ever had! We also got the crab cakes, an omelette, and the mahi mahi tacos. All very good. The only downside was that the omelette was supposed to come with a spicy sausage but upon receiving it we noticed it was just a regular sausage. The waitress went to check with the kitchen and informed us they were out. I would have hoped to had that knowledge dispensed prior to ordering since that was the main reason we got it. We also did not get any kind of apology or compensation on the bill for the error. Overall a great meal and the ambiance is great as well — overlooking a small river.
