Do not ever purchase anything here at all other than fill prescriptions, because if for some reason you buy the wrong thing, there are no returns. Items that could’ve been returned anywhere such as Walgreens, CVS, if you had purchased them there, are not returnable. The owner does not empower his employees to be customer service minded and he’s on vacation so I have learned my lesson to NEVER buy from this pharmacy, which is unfortunate, because I have five doctors in the building. Tarzana Plaza pharmacy, you have lost my business and I hope more business too after someone reads my review, because you have to be flexible in the society we live in. Customer service is king.

Surprised to read the previous negative comment about this pharmacy. I had a great experience at Tarzana plaza pharmacy. Michael the owner pharmacist is usually there most of the time and had anyways taken good care of us. They usually have what I need in stock and if they don’t or its unavailable by the manufacturer, he orders it for next day delivery and sometimes even delivers to my house! That’s what I call customer service. The other pharmacist there, Melissa, had also been very kind and is very knowledgeable. She saved me about $ 65 on a single medication which I take routinely by suggesting an alternative and discussing it with my doctor for him to approve. That’s $ 65 each month on only one prescription — in thankful to her. And this was her suggestion — I didn’t ask! She also offered my to join their VIP program and I’m now taking advantage of savings through that membership and its the only pharmacy I go to. No long line. Quick and professional service. Thank you! PS. They do compounding for humans and pets too!

If I could give negative stars I would… Michael, the owner, has no understanding of customer service and was a rude as they come. He charges you a $ 30 restocking fee if he is low or almost out of a medication even if he has to normally place the order once a week. He is ripping people off to make a profit off of a national shortage of medication and then when you ask him to explain his pricing he gets upset and yells in your face, telling you to leave and go somewhere else. He really is living the American dream…
