Best Philly cheesesteak in the valley. They closed down temporarily but it’s said that they’re reopening soon, I refuse to eat any other cheesesteak. I thought they closed down for good and I was devastated

This place is freaking delicious! I’m a huge fan of crinkle cut fries, so that’s a plus. I got the all beef hot dog, which tastes just like the one at Costco. I got cheese sauce on my hot dog, it was definitely overkill because the hotdog was great by itself. I also got cheese sauce for my fries. Their cheese sauce tastes just like the nacho cheese from Taco Bell, yum! :)

Good solid cheesesteak in Tarzana, definitely legit, bread and meat are spot on. Not exactly«destination worthy» but if you’re in the hood and craving a cheesesteak, worth a visit and reasonably priced. Philly’s best in Burbank is still my fave, but this certainly hit the spot!!!

Delicious Philly cheesesteaks and they deliver. Been ordering from this place for a few years now. They serve it on a toasty baguette with a nice amount of meat and cheese. Their fries are tasty too. It’s located in a small shopping area with parking and even street parking if needed.

I live 2.9 miles away and called for delivery. They said its free delivery for 3 miles and $ 8 over 3 miles. I am under and yet when the rude woman who answered the phone said that it would be $ 8 delivery fee because her system says I live 3.5 miles away. This place is shady and dishonest to tack on miles to charge an outrageous delivery fee!

If you wan’t a good tasty sandwich, give this place a try! I have been going to this joint for many years, and I will continue to do so. I actually can’t believe I took this long to write a review. Their sandwiches are always extremely tasty and will definitely give your taste buds a run for there money! I always order the super steak, ever since I had this sandwich I refuse to go elsewhere. Not very many people can prepare a steak quite like this. It seems simple but not so fast, if u want the quality and great taste, give this place a visit. The people who work here are super sweet and no matter how long I take to pay them a visit, they always know my order!

Ordered a turkey avocado sandwich to go. Opened it when I got home, and found a black hair in it! Gross!

Came in for an overpriced chicken cheese steak. Came to the counter, Asked the young lady for a chicken cheese steak with light onions and green peppers. What did I receive? No green peppers and heavy onions! Ridiculous!(Photo posted) Called to ask what went wrong, guy answered, said he asked the girl and she said its what I asked for. He said well «What do you want me to do?» Seriously? So now I don’t know what I asked for? And you don’t know what you can do for a customer? Damn! He didn’t even say sorry! Just placed the blame that I(the person who placed the order) ordered the wrong thing! Let me say this, although the chicken cheesesteaks are decent(not amazing) here and so are the fries(even though they’re from a bag of frozen fries), the drama of getting ones order correct will keep me from coming back. I’ve eaten from here three times. Threes a charm. I try to support small business but when they’re defensive about getting your order wrong, it’s time to support the chains. I’m not from Philly, but from NY and I know good food, I’d rather just wait to go back to the East coast for a really Philly steak. At least the attitude I get there is genuine and my food is made right!

They use a decent roll but they barely put meat on your sandwich. The meat was tender. So that was a plus. No cheese wiz option is a big drawback. And never ever does any one put green peppers on a cheesesteak. I ordered two cheesesteaks with«meat, cheese and a roll» just like that and got two both with onions. Not sure how you mess up «meat, cheese and a roll». For the skimpy meat, I’m giving 2 stars. Having been born and raised in South Philadelphia where they invented the cheesesteak and have a thousand places to choose from, I’m ultra picky but also know a great steak. Will look for other options.

The guys are always friendly and quick to take your order. Even when I’ve ordered for pick up or delivery it’s never a long wait. The cheesesteaks are great! Sometimes I’ll add mushrooms and hot peppers to mine. My friends love their French fries too. It’s a small place in the corner of a tiny shopping center, but I’ve never had trouble finding a parking spot.

Ordered through grub hub, food was good but it was really late. The guy who answers the phone is rude and did not care, was kind of like«yeah it’s late I already told u before» horrible customer service. Never again.

Five out of five cheesesteaks. Seriously, FASTESTDELIVERYEVER. I even joke about it with the regular delivery guy who is always super nice. I once ordered and had the food delivered to my apartment in 13 minutes. Are they wizards??? As someone who lived in Philly for years, their cheesesteaks really measure up to the real deal. Tastes like it came right off of South Street! They get the bread right and honestly I am guilty of eating here three days in a row. Love you guys! You are doing it right!

All set to order from Sam’s Philly Steak since I was in the mood to try something new. I’m going through the checkout process after selecting a Mushroom Cheesesteak combo and an extra drink, which came out to be $ 18 after tax when I notice the grand total is $ 28… At first I was confused and thought I’d selected something extra or accidentally entered«2“into a quantity drop menu. But no, it was DELIVERY. DELIVERYWAS $ 10. TENDOLLARS. TEN… DOLLARS… T__T (I don’t live more than five to ten minutes away)

So I was hungry at work and decided to try Sam’s Philly steak for the first. I ordered the Philly cheese burger and fries and chocolate cake. I really loved the fries they were perfectly salty but the burger not so much. The burger was kind of cold and tasted like it had been cooked right from being frozen or something. The chocolate cake was good but nothing to brag about. Somewhat pricey also. I will try them one more time and just order a different sandwich and hope its better because I really loved there fries lol!!!

You know, I wasn’t blown away. I really wanted to like these guys… The guy at the counter was so friendly, and the place was clean on the inside. I was the only one there at the time, aside from a customer picking up sandwiches to go as I arrived. I ordered the mushroom steak, which comes with onions and mushrooms. I got the large. The problem I had was, when it came time to eat the sandwich, there weren’t a lot of mushrooms OR onions. I mean, they sorta mixed them in with the chopped meat, but I was really hoping for a good pile of mushrooms on top. Also, they’re a little on the pricey side for a sandwich… Granted, the large is 14″, but it’s not a terribly thick sandwich… And for the price, I was expecting to be able to eat the second half for another meal, but instead just polished it off in one sitting. Also, I didn’t specify my cheese preference, and got american. I think next time I would prefer provolone. The bread was ok… Warm french baguette style. The meat itself was flavored decently, but the whole experience was a little dry. I got it to go so I didn’t notice the lack of mushrooms and onions till it was too late, but maybe next time I’d get something to put on the sandwich to moisten it up a little. In his defense, the cool dude at the counter offered BBQ sauce and ketchup I think, but I declined thinking the mushrooms would be enough. MOREMUSHROOMS!

Fries were nothing special and at the same time the highlight of the meal. They have no dea what a club sandwich is and the spongy mystery meat frozen patty burger arrived cold. I’d be embarrassed to serve this and glad I only ordered a meal for myself.

I ordered for delivery. Eat24 did warn me that it would take 60 mins for my 2 sandwiches to get to my house. I ordered the philly cheese steak with green peppers, onions, and provolone cheese w/added pepper. Also ordered BBQ chicken(which happened to be steak instead) with green peppers, mushroom, onions, provolone cheese, and avocado for $ 1.00 extra. My aunt said her philly cheese steak was amazing amazing. My bbq cheese steak was ok. It tasted like I was eating a sloppy joe and the fact that I paid $ 1.00 extra for two thinly sliced avocado strips was just rude. Maybe next time I will just skip the BBQ and the avocado and the delivery and get it done myself. All in all, my hunger was satisfied and I do want to try this place again.

I have been to Sam’s before. I am not sure if this place have new ownership or what. But I remember when I lived in Tarzana this was my favorite place for Philly Steak. They sandwich was delicious and was served on soft french roll. During my visit; I ordered the 14″ Steak, mushrooms and Provolone,(no cheese whiz here.) I was really surprised to see the sandwich made with hard french roll. The roll was fresh and toasty filled with meat and mushrooms. Even though I really did enjoy the hard roll; I still wished they used a much softer roll. But still it was really delicious. The meat was tender and the entire sandwich was full of flavors. I also ordered the fried breaded mushrooms. I asked the cook if they were fresh mushrooms and he said everything they have is fresh. They were just OK and you get that little pop in your mouth as you bite on them. Would I order again? I don’t thinks so just for the fact that there was something with the taste that did not wow me. I really like Sam’s Philly despite the fact they are using hard roll. I will ask next time if they offer soft roll instead, if not, then hard roll is good enough for me.
