WORST doctor’s experience ever. I will not return to this place even in a pinch.
I went to see Dr. Ghasri for eczema — a condition I’m well familiar with having had it all my life. I had run out of the ointment that works on me and talked to Dr. Ghasri for all of 5 minutes asking him for a prescription for this particular ointment. Dr. Ghasri said he would give me a prescription for something similar and gave me some card to register to receive some discount on some other cream. He said the ointment I was requesting might not be covered but the cream he was recommending would be and discounted, etc., Didn’t occur to me then that perhaps Dr. Ghasri was recommending this cream because he might be getting some kind of compensation for recommending it but in hindsight, I wonder if that’s what it might be.
In any event, I tried the cream he recommended and it made my skin flare up even more. I saw Dr. Ghasri on a Friday & called back on Saturday. Though his office hours indicates the office is open on Saturday, no one picked up so I left a VM asking for the doctor to call in a prescription for the ointment I knew worked & had asked for.
Saturday, no call.
Sunday, no call.
Monday, no call. You get the idea.
I had to call his office back to follow up and was told by some receptionist that likely, my insurance company wouldn’t cover the ointment. How the hell would she know? Notwithstanding, I ask for the doctor to call in the prescription because I didn’t care if I had to pay out of pocket to get the ointment that would resolve the issue. Was told by receptionist or whomever that they would talk to the doctor and get back to me.
No call back. So I had to call the next day and ask if the prescription had been called in. I was told yes. So I got to the pharmacy. Guess what, no prescription. So I call again to ask that the prescription be called in and was told they were sending it «right now.» I called the pharmacy the next day and was told no prescription sent in. Had to call yet again.
So FINALLY the prescription gets called in but when I go to pick it up, I’m told that the doctor’s office has not returned a Prior Authorization Form which was sent to them. I had to hound Dr. Ghasri’s office MULTIPLE times over nearly 2 weeks to get them to submit this form. Meanwhile, in that time period I was told at least 3 times that likely my insurance company doesn’t cover this. BS. I checked my insurance company’s website and it stated the ointment was covered. And note: the ointment that I asked for — that I was told multiple times would not be covered by my insurance — cost less than the aggravating cream Dr. Ghasri prescribed the first time around.
I’ve never dealt with some incompetence in my life. Never have I had to deal with so much BS to get a simple prescription fulfilled — and one that I had to work so hard to get only after I was given some other medication that exacerbated my problem. Meanwhile, my eczema got much worse to the point that my skin felt painful, in part because the other medication made my condition worse.
On a final note — the receptionist here was beyond rude the day I visited. She acted like my presence annoyed her. I’ve dealt with plenty of unfriendly or stoic receptionist and that type of thing usually doesn’t bother me but this lady was just plain rude. As in, when I asked her for a pen to fill out the patient form she cut me off, said with snark «there!» as she rolled her eye. Esqueeze me for not realizing that what looked to be a fake flower was a pen. Seriously will not ever return.

The Dr. was very knowledgable and helped me figure out the best option for my acne. He also gave me a sample and helped me figure out an affordable way to get my prescription. The office is very clean and the staff were all kind. Lots of parking in the back. Can’t think of anything negative to say

Great staff, easy appointment booking and the doctors are super nice and make you feel really comfortable. I bring my whole family here as they are great with kids too!

What a wonderful, excellent, reasonable and capable doctor! I am talking about Dr. Peyman Ghasri. A great human being and a wonderful doctor. I really could not have asked for better hands to take care of my medical emergency. A week ago today, Dr. Peyman performed an emergency procedure to remove a spine cyst that developed out of no where. S— happens when you’re over 40 I guess. He did an excellent job. I was so relieved to have had the procedure go the way it did and to have found this excellent doctor (recommended by another great doctor) that I became emotional when I left his office. God bless you doc.

A friend of mine visited dr Peyman a couple of months ago and told me if I was looking for an honest, knowledgable dermatologist I should visit dr. Peyman first, and he was not wrong. The doctor really cares and it shows by the service. He knew exactly what was the cause and put my mind at ease. Didn’t push anything, unlike most dermatologist. My permanent dermatologist from now! Thanks ;)

Dr. Ghasri is an artist! I’m almost hitting 30 and have noticed that I need a little help in the filler/​Botox department. I work in the medical industry so I didn’t want to walk around looking obviously done. I told him I wanted a very subtle enhancement.
& He did just that! I’m in love with what he did with my face. I read in another Unilocal that he’s not heavy handed. And it’s true! I feel and look great.
My teenage niece was also seen by Dr. Pedram. She needed some help clearing her skin. He is very thoughtful, intelligent and knowledgable. We’re already seeing great results.
Overall I’m very satisfied with my visit at Castle Dermatology. They are definitely running a successful practice that I will recommend all my friends to go to whether it’s for cosmetic or medical dermatology needs.

So after being to a few dermatologists (and hating it) my esthetician referred me to Dr.Ghasri. I decided to give it a shot and I’m glad I did! I had an appt at 11:15 and I was assisted right away with filling out paperwork and called in to be seen about 5−10minutes later! And the place was NOT empty. I love punctuality. I had been misdiagnosed previously and Dr. Ghasri correctly diagnosed my skin condition and told me step by step what needs to be done. He was very knowledgable about what he was doing. I was offered a variety of solutions which was great. Also, the entire office was so super clean. I’ve been to a few dermatology offices and they’ve been tiny and not polished so I really appreciated the upkeep of the place. Had an excellent consult!

I was referred to Dr. Ghasri by another physician and by some of his very happy patients so I felt pretty confident that I would be well taken care of. I was not mistaken. I was looking for some fillers for my lip line and deeper lines around my mouth. Dr. Ghasri took the time to explain my options and which filler was right for me. He was gentle and carefully took his time to do what I asked — not too much as I didn’t want those puffy lips. I am very satisfied with the results and will come back when I feel the need. As far as his fee goes, I have nothing to compare it to so I can’t comment on that. I can say that it was worth every penny!

Less is more, Dr. Peyman! I’m not sure where your head was at while I droned on about wanting a very subtle result from the Juvederm in my lips and Botox in my forehead. I told you that I was not trying to look like younger, but that I only wanted to soften the lines that I had. I wanted «a little support» on the edges of my upper lip with Juvederm, and a little drop right in the center of my upper lip and small amount in the center of my lower lip. I told you that I would rather come back and have you add more if necessary. I was extremely specific about what I wanted, but more importantly, what I did not want. You seemed to be listening and acknowledging what I was saying.
I am writing this four weeks after my visit with you. I look like the stereotypical, tight and waxy foreheaded middle aged woman with obvious lip injections that anyone can spot from a mile away. I can barely move my eyebrows. Exactly, to the letter, exactly what I absolutely hate and specifically said that I did not want. There is nothing subtle or natural about this look.
Additionally, I am too self conscious to wear my normal lipstick as it accentuates the uneven result of the Juvederm. My upper lip as a whole is too large, but the left side is larger than the right. The left side of my lower lip is fuller and more pronounced on the border then the right. When I speak or chew a ¼″ deep vertical line that extends down under my lip (which I did not have before) appears on the right side of my lower lip. My entire mouth looks too wide and surrounding my mouth there are areas that are not smooth.
You have an impressive resume and are clearly technically well trained in dermatology. Botox and fillers are truly an art form. Some people simply do not have an artist eye for balance and symmetry, and you very well may be one of those people. This is not an insult, it’s simply my experience with you.

I was referred to Dr Peyman, I had a few spots on my neck and back. After a very short wait time I got to see the Dr. He was very knowledgable and honest, he put my mind at ease after letting me know it’s noting to worry about. I really felt comfortable with him. If you are looking for a great dermatologist look no further, thank you so much Dr Peyman, I will be back to remove those two spots!

I’d like to start off by saying that I’ve been to dermatologists in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, West Hills– all over Los Angeles and I can say Dr. Pedram Ghasri at Castle Dermatology in Tarzana is by far the best experience I’ve had.
His staff is friendly and the wait time was non existent. Dr. Ghasri painlessly froze off multiple moles and dark spots in minutes! He also got rid of unattractive red veins around my nose and cheeks. All under an hour! Dr. Ghasri is efficient but not once did I feel rushed. He is very attentive, kind, and super professional.

Dr. Ghasri is a very thoughtful and intelligent doctor with a skillful eye! I am beginning to come to the point in my life where I want to enhance my facial features with fillers and Botox. A couple of my girlfriends could not stop raving about Dr. Ghasri. I easily scheduled an appointment and was greeted by friendly women in the front. They roomed me within 5 minutes and I saw Dr. Ghasri on time. He is a great listener and was able to offer up very valuable info about different things I can do to achieve my goals. After that he did his magic! I am SO VERY happy with the results. I feel and look refreshed thanks to his skills!
He is my go to guy for cosmetic and dermatology work. I cannot think him and his staff enough! They will definitely see me again!

I was referred to Dr. Ghasri’s office when I recently moved into the area and wanted to get moles on my face removed. I never usually go to the doctor about anything so I’m very particular when I actually have to go.
It wasn’t difficult to find this practice since it was the one EVERYONE referred me to in Tarzana/​Encino area.

Dr. Ghasri is an excellent Doctor. He’s honest, respectful, professional, caring and very well educated. I trust this man with my skin. I’ve been to other Dermatologist’s, and nobody compares to the level of Professionalism Doctor Ghasri shows his patients. He accepts all PPO’s, and he’s even open on Saturdays. Color me impressed!!! From the moment I called this morning as a brand-​new patient to the moment I walked out the door I felt like they really care! I was pretty freaked out about a bunch of bumps that were appearing around my left eye and they managed to get me in on the same day! 1^st Star
The waiting room was clean and inviting The front office staff was really amazing they made the check in and paperwork process painless! The welcoming smile and attitude at the front desk made me feel at home right away. 2^nd star
My appointment was at 11:45 and I was in the doctors office by 11:50 AM! 3^rd star.
The doctor knocked less than a minute later and was very kind and welcoming. He asked a lot of questions about bumps before he examined them and listen to my answers. He also did a full check for moles as long as I was there… (yikes he caught me because I haven’t been checked for a couple years). He offered to write me a prescription for the gel I needed to take care of my issue but said he could give me samples if I didn’t want to have to buy the prescription (WOW) 4^th star!
The checkout was super easy and because I was so happy with my visit I decided to ask them about some other services they offer! I’ve been wanting to have a little lip filler done for a couple of years but I’ve been shy because the last guy I went to butchered me and made me look like Homer Simpson’s wife. They have a great gallery of before and after pictures so I made an appointment for a couple of weeks to get it done I’m so excited!!! 5^th Star!
I have more to say but I’m out of stars! I’m going to be recommending this office to all of my family and friends!

So I said I was going to give him another shot, did not work, I was scared about having botox, again he is not the type of doctor that will take the time to explain something like
«Botox is safe» or just what ever thing, second time, he was like the first time in a hurry, it seems what you have to say is not important, unfortunately I won’t go back for any service, just because it looks he does not care, maybe he thinks I do understand all, I don’t maybe he is not bad as a doctor, I can’t even say that

Went today at 2:45 to have two moles removed from my right check. I only had to wait a few minutes and Dr came in. As usual, he was very gentle, and took off the two moles very quickly. I always enjoy coming here because he is such a warm and caring Dr. I don’t know how I got so lucky today, but he was not to busy. in and out with ease.
I am starting to feel the lidocaine wearing off now, think I will go take some Tylenol. LOL
