This Chipotle is the cheapest Chipotle I have ever been to. Their portions are a lot less than normal Chipotle and for some reason they hire people who hate their lives. My friend complimented the manager and somehow her lame a*s got offended. They’re right next to Portola Middle school so they might be this way because they have to deal with a lot of younger annoying kids but still. Stop being so cheap with your portions and learn to hire happy people.

This is one of the worst chipotle restaurants I had been to in a while. The service is slow and the employees were very rude to us. The food was about what you would expect at any other chipotle but the atmosphere is awful. There are a bunch of kids running around recklessly and the security guards outside don’t seem to care.

Reading from all the other reviews I’m surprised on the amount of people who give this place a low star rating. Chipotle is a chain restaurant so its hard to judge a place by the quality of the food. This chipotle will taste and look like every other chipotle. So why write this review? I’m writing this review because of how wonderful staff was today(01÷25÷16). I try to get lunch before the rush so I usually get lunch around 11:00 or 11:30. I’ll be one to say that sometimes I suck at making the smallest decision. Tacos or burrito. The staff was friendly enough to wait and hang around versus going to hide in the back. When it came time to order the meat, I noticed that a fresh batch was almost finished and I asked if I can just grab the meat from that one. There was nobody behind me in line so I figured it wont hurt. Not only were they okay, but they still stuck around in the front and assisted where they could. To me, the little things is what makes the staff. I love seeing attentive staff members with cheery attitude. On top of that, the place was spotless and well managed. Maybe I got lucky and had an awesome crew. One thing is certain, my experience at the time I went to this Chipotle is easily worth 5 stars.

It’s Chipotle so you know what the food is gonna be(great) but it’s the cozy size of the store and the great people behind that counter that make this one awesome. Props to whoever DJs there too they always have killer music.

Never, ever order online. If you do, you might as well go into the restaurant & order because you will get your food faster. I always order online, but the last 2 times, I went to pick it up, to find that it wasn’t even made, but wait for it, they didn’t even know I had ordered. No one apologized for this faux pas, but they did offer me some water while I waited for my order. When I got home, I found that two of the salads I ordered were made better if I had made it myself. It’s upsetting when it used to be our favorite. We will never go back to this location again. Finding a new location, even if it means driving farther, will be worth it then coming back to this awful location!

It’s Chipotle so unless I got rat in my burrito it gets 3 stars. The staff is always friendly. However, the food doesn’t always taste great. Maybe one out of five times I’ll get a burrito that is just kind of bland tasting, like someone forgot an ingredient. Not factored into the rating, but this place has some bad burrito rollers. It’s an art form that seems to elude them at the moment. I’m confident they’ll figure it out though. Really nice staff.

This is my favorite Chiplote because the food is really good. I always get upbeat workers to brighten my day. Chiplote is always clean. I hate coming into places to buy food and everyone is moving like a zombie with long faces. I love coming in upbeat places like this one because it shows that the employees are treated well and the food will be prepared better.

I have no choice but to come here since it’s the nearest location to my house. They disappoint every time. This time they almost put my food in a dirty bowl I had to ask them to get me another bowl. Then when I go to get lemons and tapatio sauce they were literally out of almost everything. This place needs better management. The other chipotles are much more organized than this location.

Come on. It’s fucking Chipotle. Who cares? Really? It’s fast food, it’s predictable and I go here because it does not make me sick. And it’s ‘healthy’. They have a calorie count next to their menu items so you know what kind of damage you are doing.(The calorie count on chips and guacamole blows my mind every time) They also claim to offer some what non-hormoned, non-tortured animal protein. Let’s assume that’s true. It’s still a backup for not spending the time and researching something different. Mind you I obviously haven’t on occasion or two or three because I am writing this review. Sometimes you just need that grab and go. Under such circumstances then something like Chipotle is the lesser of two evils but it’s still utilitarian. I get the carnitas bowl with guacamole and I smother that shit in Tabasco.

Against my better judgment I came back here cause it’s across the street from my work and I was hungry. I faxed my order in, then I called to confirm they received my fax. Upon calling, a worker answered the line laughing to the point she couldn’t speak or even tell me the name of the business I was calling. Waiting about a minute or so for her to gain her composure enough to find out what I was calling for.(her name was Brazil) She was rude and had no phone manors what so ever. I placed my pick up order, and walked across the street at my selected time of pick up. I enter the chipotle where there was several employees taking to each other. I was finally approached by a worker whom brought me my order, while confirming my order and taking payment, Brazil appears at the counter to help a customer and an employees asked Brazil a question at which point she opens her mouth and let’s out a huge belch never once covering her mouth excusing herself. This is not OKAY to condone this from food workers. Yet again they want $ 15 bucks an hour to service this behavior. Shame on you and the idiots you hire. Not my first complaint here.

IDK what’s with all these negative reviews? I’m super picky and expect high quality and service and this place delivers every time. I love that their meats are farm raised with no hormones or antibiotics and I love that their non-GMO. Who else does that? Food is consistent in flavor, freshness, and great service. Yes depending on server you may get a bit more or less here or there, but if you kindly ask them the’ll be more than happy to accommodate you. Chipotle Tarzana rocks!

Quite possibly my favorite restaurant, and this Chipotle has the friendliest people working there. They always greet you with a smile and usually put extra everything in your bowl or burrito. The management is very nice and since I come in here regularly they have even«bought» me my food a couple of times. A couple of things could be streamlined at this location, like for example sometimes no one is working the cash register and they wait until your food is completely finished before someone yells«CASH» to get someone in the back to come up and ring you up. I’ve waited a few minutes for that, especially when the restaurant is not busy at all. Another issue with this location(not their fault, just by virtue of location) is that it is very close to a middle school so when school gets out, it is best to avoid the restaurant for 30 – 45 minutes unless you want to wait in a very long line. Great parking though, there is a large lot below. And seating is plentiful. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat.

I’m struggling to say what I liked and that is difficult. 1) First impression is poor. The garbage overflows the can outside 2) The outside tables are dirty and uninviting 3) The music inside was way too loud. I’m glad the employees like the music 4) The chicken was grossly overcooked On the plus side, the server was attentive and got my order correct.

It was edible — but for 25 bucks for 2 people, you gotta give me better than what I got. The food is average at best and I could make the same thing or better at home. So why don’t I shut up and stop bitching and just cook at home LOL?! I had a gift card. A lonely, decaying gift card in my file cabinet for $ 25 and it needed to be used. My bf got a grilled chicken bowl and I got a veggie salad. Seriously — I could have made that for us in the kitchen for like 7 – 8 bucks. It was 25 bucks for the salads, 2 apple juices, and some chips. How do you spell ridiculous? No wonder CMG trades for so much money — they keep 90 percent of what everyone pays them. Sorry, I just don’t like giving money to organizations that pocket the profits and let them rot in the bank. Or, open more stores so they can keep making more money for themselves. Poquito Mas, which I have harshly criticized(and they deserve it), adopted the same business philosophy and frankly I think it just sucks. Maybe I am saying all this because I just got back from Mexico last week and had amazing, REAL Mexican food that absolutely can not be duplicated here in the US. No way. And then… I come to Chipotle. Ighhhhh. On another different note, the workers there are an interesting bunch… while we were dining, this cute young stud on a skateboard, who I think is an employee there, had a birthday, and he came in to the store on his day off. We heard a chorus of HAPPYBIRTHDAY, sans melody, from behind the counter. Strange. This was my 3rd time at this location and it’s always ridden with young parents and kids. You should hear how those lil rugbrats bark out orders to the staff about what they want on their burrito. And when not doing that, they’re running around creating a nuisance and kicking the recycling bins. Thanks for the memories, but I’m all done with Chipotle. I ate at one location in Minneapolis, one in Washington DC, and 3 times in Tarzana. Ababdee-abadee-abadee-abadee That’s All Folks! If I get another gift card for Chipotle, I will re-gift it or just donate it to a person in need of food. I wish I’d done that instead of going back there today.

I’m a big Chipotle fan but these guys could use a lesson on presentation. The picture you see is exactly how the burrito was served. On a normal day I would have had them remake it with a little pride but I was in a good mood and saw this burrito as art. It tasted fine and they were smart enough to put in a bowl. I still laugh about this sad looking burrito, so hopefully it puts a smile on your face too. «Do worry, be happy»

My boyfriend went to go pick up chipotle for us and what he brought back should be a crime. My burrito bowl was like sour cream soup. We always go to this location and never have had a problem. The worker is apparently«new» but that’s still no excuse for rude customer service and sloppy burrito bowl. She snapped at him more than once. It was so bad, he brought up her attitude to the manager and he said that she is a new employee. If we ever go back and she’s working, we will not let her touch our food. Yes, she was that bad. It’s even worse that we had to pay for that. Never again.

This is a difficult review for me, here are reasons why. First of all I love the brand of chipotle. Where else can you get really healthy food quickly at a very reasonable price. They are a terrific brand, One always knows that they are getting quality food when stopping at chipotles. I have been assured that they have a no GMO policy, which in my book is a huge priority. This store manager has told me that he is not sure if this is nationwide but the non-GMO policy prevails across California. Yay! Here is the bad part, this chipotle is in my opinion Is poorly run. They often run out of their veggies, they always wait too long before cooking the next batch and sometimes this leaves the customer with uncooked vegetables. The other day I came in and they were completely out of’salad dressing. I inquired as to why they were out, for example, had they not received their shipment of salad dressing?, the attendant told me that«no they make it in the back but that they had been out and it was a lengthy process to make» In other words there was no apology about being out of a primary ingredient which in my opinion is the brand of chipotle requires, they should never be out of any of their items, to me this indicates poor management and poor planning. Not to mention they’re often out of utensils and napkins. The tables outside can be dirty or for hours before someone notices. In summary, the chipotle brand is terrific but this particular location is poorly run.

This is a lousy chain of Americanized Mexican«Tex-Mex» food — two thumbs down, way down. I’ve given Chipotle so many chances and they fail to impress me every time. I think I should give up now. Just because the masses love this place, doesn’t mean I ever will. I enjoy eating at many places — from street food to gourmet restaurants and this is probably one of the worst places I’ve eaten at. Skip Chipotle and head over to Poquito Mas in Encino for a better quality Mexican chain food dining experience. Chipotle, is for me, is a place that I would go to out of convenience because there’s no other place to eat, you’re short on time, and don’t bother to check-in on Unilocal because it isn’t anything exciting or embarrassed to check-in on Unilocal because it will ruin my reputation of knowing good places to eat.
