For board games go elsewhere. Their no-returns-no-exceptions policy on even unopened, still shrink-wrapped, just purchased, with receipt board games is customer hostile and shady. Maybe that’s how comic books work, but not packaged merchandise. We’ve been back twice to try and resolve this in two days, and got stonewalled with the usual excuses about policies and how nobody, not even the store manager, has any authority to do anything. Had I known, I never would have bought anything here. I certainly won’t again.

This place was awesome. I came in searching for some Locke and Key issues from their last story thread, since I simply cannot wait for the HC edition to come out and wrap this amazing book up… Staff were friendly, and definitely not pushy. I hate it when comic book store employees are pushy, don’t you? Let me revel in my individualistic nerdy solitude while I flip through my favorite issues of Sandman and peruse your HC stacks, searching for that«must have» book! NDC let me do this nicely. Prices were pretty good for the back issues, nothing outrageous, and its very easy to prowl through their stock, which is pretty nice. Will definitely be back to feed the comic habit. Damn you!!!

Great customer service. They were so considerate on my needs. If you call ahead they will tell you if they have things. They are not pushy. Great selection of comics for adults and kids. All the DCs Marvels and plenty of Xmen, Wonder Woman, Superman

New Dimension Comics appears to have taken Phantom of the Attic’s title as the top comics store chain in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. Yet another NDC store has opened in the Mills mall, and we were there for Free Comic Book Day. I picked up 2 freebies, Captain America/Thor and Spider-Man and walked out with a host of recent back issues of titles including Avengers and Justice League of America. Kay splurged and bought a stack of Hellraiser comics. Ya gotta love a chick that’s into Clive Barker. She almost bought some Venture Brothers action figures. We had no idea they existed! The store is similar to the other NDC shops I’ve been into except that this one seems larger. There’s plenty of space. Everything from comics and toys to apparel and games are neatly organized. Newer comics, graphic novels, and trade paperbacks are lined up along the walls. Older comics are in long, white boxes to your left. The really expensive ones are under glass. There are gaming tables. What else does a fantasist want? Clerks in Stormtrooper costumes? NDC stores are uniformly pleasant to visit, and this store is no exception. I’ve gotten burned out on comics in recent years, but it’s funny how a trip to a comics shop can reinvigorate my interest in a field that is still derided despite being used as an idea and talent farm for Hollywood, and comics are about so much more than Superman and Archie. If you’re already one of the obsessed(comics can mess up your life in a such a magnificent way), you now have another place to lurk around in. If you’ve never purchased a comic book before, please don’t be afraid to venture in and dampen your feet. A redheaded 20-ish gal checked out our purchases. Tweens, teens, and adults wandered in, out, and about the place. The shop is clean, brightly lit. Comic Book Guy is not employed here. Leave your cultural biases at home and give comics a chance. Support New Dimension and support one of the most cutting-edge artforms ever; the union of words and pictures. Besides, the next time a movie or television program based on a comic book debuts, you can say you’ve been reading it for years and can kvtech about all the differences and whatnot. You’ll be ahead of the curve ‘n shit. P. S. Kay’s Hellraiser acquisitions were no coincidence. Doug Bradley, the actor who portrays Pinhead, will be at this store for a meet-and-greet on 6⁄11 from 3 – 6PM. Now you have another reason to go, unless you’re afraid of getting getting killed in creatively gory fashion.
