Had a wonderful experience at the Farmhouse café. Food was delicious and surroundings are nice. Although a lot of ponding was going on upstairs due to construction. The waitress kept apologizing because at times it was hard to carry on a conversation. Maybe they should do this another time of the day, when the downstairs businesses are closed? I would recommend going here to anyone.

I absolutely love going to the Farmhouse Café and Bakery whenever my husband and I are in Taos. The food is wonderful and wholesome. This is our favorite breakfast location in Taos and is in a quaint rustic setting tucked in the Overland Sheepskin complex. Best regards to the kind waitstaff and lovely owner.

Traveling out West and looking for a heathy place to have lunch. Saw their ad in a visitors guide book so we decided to check it out. Wow — the food was so fresh and flavorful. I had the quinoa stir fry and my boyfriend had the Green Chili burger. Everything was cooked perfectly and was just what we were searching for.

We loved this place. I got the green chile burger and it was perfect, so juicy. My husband got the red chile buffalo soup. We were very happy.

As locals we’ve heard mixed reviews about this place but neither my partner nor I had ever been in. So we decided to give it a whirl this morning… bad idea. We were greeted and seated promptly, only to be skipped over when another table sat in the same room after we’d already been there for ten minutes or so. As the waitress who took their order walked away I called out a polite«excuse me». Had to say it twice before she turned around only to have her tell us to hold on. Then we overheard her curtly announce that«there’s a table who just snuck in that’s ready to order». Luckily a different waitress came to our table, apologized for the wait and took our order. First, my hot chocolate came out barely warm and chalky as hell. Our waitress, Kate, fixed the problem right away with me apologizes. When our food arrived, things only got worse. My benedict was cold, eggs hard poached, hollandaise tasted like a whipped lemon aoli. Yikes. Oh, did I mention there was one small piece of ham for the two English muffins? Yeeeeah… I don’t typically return food but I couldn’t waste my meal on this. So our accommodating Kate took my second order for some sunny side up eggs on potatoes with another slice of ham. Even still, the whites on top were uncooked, bottom browned… The ONLY saving grace was Kate… and whomever is baking(we had a delicious scone and the bread with my partner’s meal was delicious!) There are much better options in town. I highly recommend any of them over this experience.

During our recent stay in Taos, we had breakfast at the Farmhouse Café and enjoyed it so much, we came back the next day for lunch. The menu is amazing — creative, delicious and fresh options for everyone from the carnivores to the vegans in our group. The patio dining and garden areas are beautiful. The interior is comfortable and inviting. The customer service during both of our visits was excellent(Katie, our lunch time server, was particularly great). This was a very pleasant experience. We will be back the next time we’re in Taos.

Been waiting to try this for a bit and it was a pretty big downer. Ordered soups to start and it took our waitress forever to bring them. They came minutes before entrees and were vastly underseasoned. Two different soups too so it was not just a one off batch of a single soup. Had a green chili burger that was also underseasoned and lacking any heat. Ugh. Never got refills on our iced teas. In fact, everything about the service was off. Unimpressed is an understatement.

Attended the Robert Mirabal special event last night. The food was spectacular! Most everything we were served came out of the garden that day or the day before! Kale Salad was the best I have ever put in my mouth. Soup was a mushroom sherry broth with spinach. The chicken was tasty but the vegetables… grilled zucchini, broccoli rabbe, sugar snap peas, fresh baby turnips were beautiful(you eat with your eyes) and astoundingly flavorful and perfectly prepared. Lastly a key lime pie that made my heart beat fast. I was so full, I was prepared for a bite or two… but slowly and savoring it quietly disappeared. All of this in a warm cozy setting farmhouse vibe. Then Robert Mirabal took the«stage» for an hour of mesmerizing, thought provoking, haunting flute and native songs. This event goes on thru the summer… prepare to be moved… by the food and the spirit and music of Robert Mirable. This is not haute cuisine… this is open your heart, get close to Mother Earth dining! There is no alcohol which seems appropriate for this event. Last but not least… Micah Roseberry has created her vision in the loveliest if ways!

This place is awesome! Quite, outside of town, great menu. Outdoor seating on the patio. All organic. Baker has good variety

Food was fresh and well enough prepared. Deviations from the menu of any sort seemed ‘inconvenient and discouraged’. Ordered fajitas since chick came only as fajitas or enchiladas. No salsa, guacamole or sour crème offered with the dish. Salsa was available and provided upon request. Sour crème had just been used up in the kitchen. Salad of ‘greens’ said to be grown just done the road. More likely these commercial greens were purchase at the market just down the road. Waiter was not knowledgeable about side dishes of entrees and while he enter the dining space three times in 10 minutes he did not remember to provide a menu as promised until promoted. All in all not a restaurant likely to entice this writer to return especially for the higher price level found.

I would come here every day… Loved the atmosphere, so warm & cozy inside and an artsy farm like setting on the outside. Great place to wander around in and ale pictures as well. Service was wonderful! Anee was my server and was an attentive deLight. I love that everything here is so fresh and organic. The bakery is sinfully seductive with many in-house daily offerings. I totally recommend and support this local business!

The food here is really fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, the service can be slow, and the prices are a little high. I hope they can pull it together, as I’d like to see this place succeed. I especially love the lamb shepherd’s pie.

Good service, great farm to table food and plenty of ambience. It is a bit hard to locate within the Overland complex. There are lots of interesting things to photograph in the compound.

If I ever open a café, this is what I’d want it to be like. The food is hearty, the pastries yummy, and the coffee hits the spot. The view outside the window of the dining area is BEAUTIFUL. I love seeing the metal wind sculptures in the early morning. It is so peaceful. And I love that it is farm to table. The owner seems to work very hard to keep up the integrity of the café with locally produced food. Although the person at the counter was a little nutty and high strung the first 2 times I went in, I didn’t see the guy there in recent times i’ve been there so maybe he went away… lol. The place is too nice to be upset about that for some reason!

Been here a few times, one visit had our entire table waiting two hours for our food, decided to try it again today. Better wait time, but the quiche was moldy. Waitress was very nice and tried to make it right. Too little, too late. Taos is a town with many other options. I suggest any other place than this one…

From the farm to your table. 100% fresh organic and 100% awesome. Get there early as meals on the menu go fast and the kitchen closes at 3pm.
