Warning first… This is a frustrated customer. Seen a lot of these burger joints in NM and had been wanting to try for a bit now. I went here to check it out and man… you have to be kidding me. I ordered a lotta burger… regular. It took 20 mins! People were getting there orders before me after ordering after me. One burger. They lost the receipt for my order and just saw me staring at them and never bother to ask what did I order. 4 staff in the food joint and wow were they slow. After eating the burger… it was nothing special especially after watching them thrown on the grill frozen beef patties. Overall: This joint specific has to work on their food delivery time since it is a fast food joint. As for the food… skip this place people. Wendys, McD, burger king are all better options.

I thoroughly enjoyed my burger from Blake’s. It tasted delicious and was reasonably priced. I got a «Lotaburger meal» which comes with burger, fries and drink. There is an option for regular fries or seasoned or onion rings. I opted for regular fries. I also chose to add green chili to my burger. Wow, those chilies were pretty spicy. Just a bit too spicy for my delicate palate. But I did feel that the burger was delicious. My dining companions also felt their food was good. The dining room was an absolute mess. There are no tables in side. Just a counter which wraps around the entire perimeter with stationary stools. All of the counter tops needed to be wiped down. I don’t recall how clean the floors were. The tables located outside were also fairly messy. The servers were all pretty nice. We got service with a smile.

I’ll start off by saying I didn’t actually end up eating here, so this is just about my experience. I order my food to go, and while I was waiting, I watched a young man come from the back very clearly sick. He had a bright red noes dripping snot, sneezed multiple times and continually wiped his noes on his shirt(so much that there was a huge wet snot spot the length of his sleeve). After being a little shocked that I seemed to be the only one completely grossed out by this, I went up and asked the girl behind the counter why he was handling food when he is obviously sick? To which she replied«I have no idea.» And turned around. another employee said«it’s just allergies, but I know what you mean» and that seemed to be the end of it. So, obviously the next step was to ask for my money back and leave. I don’t think I have ever been so grossed out at a restaurant of fast food place. I’m not from Taos so I wouldn’t try again anyway. Just thought I’d caution fellow passer throughs.

I guess I just don’t get the Hype. Lotaburger kinda seems like New Mexico’s version of In n Out… as in the Locals seem to love and cherish it, but why? What’s the allure? We’re in New Mexico… Taos specifically… So I guess it could be… Essa-Terresrials? Well, whatever the case, the burger was certainly fine, good for a Fast Food burger, and fresh. Staff was fine, and interior was tiny, red, and white. Danny Zuko would have fit in here, but wouldn’t have had enough room for even one chorus of «Grease Lightning»

Burgers just okay… But the seasoned fries and shakes(blackberry) great! Burgers not better than in-n-out, but they are not bad tasting. Definitely better menu selection. Prices not too high.

Better than In-n-Out and Whataburger?! Well, it’s still fast food to me. The portion is great! But the staffs aren’t exactly convinced that they are working in a fast food restaurant. Perhaps it was the late night effect, perhaps they just don’t care since they are the only one still opened at night in a small town.

Way better than In-N-Out! I am so sad that LA doesn’t have Blake’s green chili cheese burgers. Plus the fries are so nice and crispy… yum

If you’re one of those people who drive by Blake’s without blinking an eye, you’re wrong. I don’t know what you’re wrong about but I’m guessing you think Blake’s isn’t worth your time. Okay well, yeah, you are wrong then. Here’s a secret — Blake’s is our version of IN-N-OUT and in my opinion, they have better fries and more importantly they have onion rings, something that is sorely missing from IN-N-OUT. Don’t get me wrong, I love that place too but I’m talking about Blake’s now. Here’s another secret — They do a «grilled cheese» just like IN-N-OUT. Here’s another secret, Blake’s isn’t «fast-food». It’s fresh and it’s pretty slow actually and worth the wait. Oh, and another secret — It’s best right when they open and in Taos they open at 10am, so get there a few minutes later and enjoy the oven fresh bun(that’s my big secret, the buns are freshest in the morning even though all the food is pretty fresh all day). I picked reviewing the Taos location because the ladies are real nice there.
