Ybor City Wine Bar

Tiny little wine bar! I had seen CL Deals for this place before and didn’t realize it is a tiny little shop in Centro Ybor. We made a pit stop here after a Unilocal event because Brian M had coupons (thank you!!). The wine bar was crowded for a random Wednesday night and we were told to sit wherever we wanted. I’m thinking this place could maybe hold 20 – 25 people max. There is bar space (although no seats available when we arrived) and a few tables to seat 3 – 4 people.
They have a very nice wine and also craft beer selection. I’m not sure how I feel about the atmosphere because it’s very squishy and brightly lit. I’m personally a fan of dark wine bars with some music, but this place did not have any. We had noticed a table of food in the corner and apparently they have free appetizer samplings for patrons. I would certainly return here for that! I imagine that the weekends are packed and you will not find seats. But still a nice little wine bar nestled in a corner of Ybor worth checking out.

I come in here from time to time and always ask myself why I don’t go more often. Small, quaint and very inviting. I love their level of wine knowledge.

Went for happy hour once and had a wonderful experience. I arrived with 2 friends for drinks and food before a comedy show at the improv theater. We had an excellent experience!
I had the wine flight and would definitely recommend it! You get 4 generous pours and can try different types. The waiter also let us suggest types and catered the flight to our tastes.
They also have a good craft beer selection, which my boyfriend really appreciated.
As for food, the cheese plate we tried was excellent. The dessert were excellent too.
The location and atmosphere is absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of ybor, this is a perfect spot for drinks before or after dinner, a show or movie, or a night at the bars/​clubs. The décor is adorable and very classy. The patio is perfect for people watching on a comfortable evening. It’s casual enough for a quick bite and nice enough for a date.
Hoping to visit this place again sometime soon. In the mean time, definitely give it a try!

A group of four of us ordered a bottle of wine and the dessert platter. It was the perfect place in Ybor to people watch and enjoy the scenery. The service was great, the dessert was delicious! The prices were fantastic. their menu was set up that you picked a bottle of wine base don the price you wanted to pay, which made it easy to select based on your budget. If we hadn’t already had dinner prior, we would’ve loved to try their cheese platter. We will definitely be back for a bottle of wine and cheese! Very cute, quaint wine bar in a great area of Tampa.

I’ve been here many times before while hanging out in Ybor city. It’s right there at the heart of Centro Ybor. You can’t miss it if you’re on 7^th Avenue. It’s right next door to Carne Chophouse restaurant (another one of my favorites). At this location, there is plenty of outdoor seating which provides for good people watching entertainment in Ybor especially late at night.
They have many bottles of wine to choose from. Many of which are from various parts of the world. This place is excellent for those who are new to wine also. You can definitely extend your pallet here over time. If you’re not a wine drinker, they also provide a decent selection of craft beers here. I believe once or more a month on Thursday nights they do have a craft beer tasting as well.
I’ve been here before for wine tasting Wednesdays for a ladies night outing. For $ 15, you get to sample the featured wines presented by their wine specialist there. This comes with plenty of high-​quality hors d’oeuvres to keep you from drinking on an empty stomach. They make sure that the food featured pairs easily with your assortments of wine and even beer. Their main food menu is excellent. Keep in mind this is not a restaurant so when I say food, I mean hors d’oeuvres. I’ve also been here before for New Year’s eve a few years ago and that in itself was an excellent experience.
If you’re looking for a nice evening of sophistication and good conversation, either before or after a nice dinner at one of the higher end restaurants here (For example, Carne chophouse, Bernini’s, Samurai blue, etc.), then this is a great location to stop at.

I love that place. The staff is really nice there. The wine prices are very reasonable. The sampler was the best, tasted so good. Great place to go with a group of friends. Love it

What a great place in a great area. Ybor City is a must see if you’re in the area and this quaint wine bar should definitely be on your list of places to stop and shop. I just wanted to buy a bottle of wine, they have a weekly wine club that meets to eat and drink that was going on, and people come in just to sip wine. Service was great, knowledgable staff, definitely recommend for the wine enthusiast.

This is a wonderful place to stop in.
The staff is amazingly knowledgeable, friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get something you will enjoy.
The wonderful selection of varieties of wines and craft beers come from local places and all over the globe.
The small plates are perfect pairings for the beverages.
It is a smaller spot, but that lends to the abidance. You really have an opportunity to interact with the other guests. If you want more space, take an outside table.
Being on 7^th and Centro, this is a prime spot to people watch.

I love this place! I went when they first opened and they keep getting better and better! My last visit was this past weekend with friends. The wine list is huge with everything from a six dollar glass of wine all the way up to a $ 15 glass of wine. I couldn’t decide so I decided to do a flight for $ 15. Our wine expert chose my two whites two reds and sparkling wine based on the fact that I happen to like sweeter wines. He hit it out of the park with every selection. And might I add that these were not little skimpy tastes of wine. I was able to enjoy a decent amount of every single wine served to me. Well worth the $ 15! We ordered a large cheese plate for the table and it was also amazing! Three different cheeses some nuts with cranberries and even a small brownie for each person to end on a sweet note. The location is perfect for Ybor people watching. We decided to sit outside this time but I’ve also enjoyed the cozy inside. Do yourself a favor and visit this fabulous establishment sometime during the holiday season!

I came here for the first time last night with my boyfriend. We had a wonderful evening and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We tried 2 red wine flights with a small cheese board. Mike was our sommelier. He did an excellent job presenting the wines to us and really seemed to care how we were doing with our samplings. He was very knowledgeable and made great recommendation for our flights. We got to sample 8 wines with generous portions (would have been 10 but we cancelled the last 2 glasses as we both were really feeling the wine by that point). We will definitely be back and will order more food or eat a larger meal before coming in. The cheese board was good but next time we will ask if we can have other options for cheese as we both prefer harder cheeses and our board had 2 soft/​1 hard. The value was great though and we really enjoyed everything. We sat outside at a candle lit table for 2 underneath a live acoustic band from the bar above. The night was perfect!

Unfortunately the cheese plate is a huge disappointment. Paired with what seems to be ritz crackers, the cheese grade was very underwhelming. Better quality cheese found at your local publix.
Good location though. Just don’t do the cheese plate.

Mike was our sommelier, he not only had a great knowledge of the wines but recommendations for the area we were in as well.
My friend and I enjoyed our flights at the bar top where Mike first asked our interests in wine, which I really appreciated. I thought this to be standard practice but even the wineries I’ve been to in Napa Valley hadn’t done this. I prefer my wines on the sweeter side, the 3 whites he poured were spot on as we traveled around the world from Spain to New Zealand, then here in the states to California and Washington. I’m not much of a red gal but they were still decent for my taste, he poured a blended Shiraz/​merlot/​Zin which sat well for me.
We finished our last two reds off with a Brie slice drizzled in honey and accompanied by a sweet and spicy pepper jelly, there was another jelly but it didn’t even compare! Please, get the Brie!
We were lucky enough to get a groupon for an $ 18 flight for two but I would have paid full price after my experience.
They also have wine tasting Wednesday’s which are educational class tastings with food pairings to help develop your palate!
Bottom line, go.

Came here last night with my friend and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our sommelier was extremely knowledgable with the wine. Both my friend and I have different wine preferences, and he was able to cater to both our needs individually. I only wish that there was more room to sit! But you definitely have to check it out if you enjoy good wine.

I was invited to a Ladies Night with my friends at the Ybor City Wine Bar. I have passed the bar on several occasions during my visits to Ybor but this was the first time I actually sat down to have a drink. The sommelier who assisted us was very knowledgeable and friendly. She helped us each select wines which fit our desired tastes and preferences. In our group were a few beginning wine drinkers and non-​wine drinkers. The staff found something that each of us would enjoy and many of us left with new favorites to add to our list; the non-​wine drinker included. Several in our group ordered the wine flights so we were able to sample a variety of wines during this visit since there were 8 of us in our group.
This is a wine bar so the food options are limited but there were enough options to keep us from drinking on an empty stomach. We had a charcuterie platter, hummus and spinach artichoke dips served with pita and chicken salad. The food was plentiful for our group to enjoy while we drank and talked.
I would definitely return to the wine bar on another occasion as a start or ending to a night out. This place is great for friends hanging out or as a date night with your significant other. Since there are many other restaurants nearby, you can have a full meal in the same vicinity if the snacks are not enough to fill you up. The location is also perfect for people watching especially if you sit outside.

I came here after leaving the improv on a friday night. I had never really thought about coming here before, as excess wine makes me sleepy, but I was in the mood for a chill Ybor evening (which is not typical). It is very quaint but sophisticated and has a great patio and view of the Ybor shenanigans. It very much contrasts the rest of the street which is refreshing! They have a knowledgable staff and an extensive wine list. They do offer food, which I definitely need to check out next time. I will definitely be back soon.

I honestly couldn’t even remember what wine I had that night but any place that is able to accommodate me and our party of about 50 our drunk friends on a wild Saturday night has to get 5 stars!
The staff was awesome fully accommodating to our needs by helping our party quickly shift from the inside/​outside due to inclement weather that caused a torrential downpour throughout the night. The staff set up a tent for us to help «expand» the space of their building as our party roamed from inside to outside to celebrate our festivities. Thank you so much for making our special night all the more memorable!
I don’t think i had an empty glass the whole night as the bar was easy & quick to get to. Every waiter in the house quickly filled all our glasses with great pours throughout the night and answered any questions we had on what we were downing down by the hordes. I will def be coming back here on a weekday with the misses on another date night as i know the Ybor scene can get a little hectic on the weekends due to the surrounding facilities.
They do not have their own parking but the Municipal parking lots are conveniently located only 3 blocks away.

Nice place to grab some amazing wine with friend and just have a nice conversation!
Visited this place for my friends engagement party, with atleast 40 guest arrive at the place I didn’t see any panic on servers/​bartenders face. They are ready for our big group! Very organize in how they serve their wine! Knowledgeable with their products!

This place is what it is! They specialize in a variety of wines and eclectic craft beer. The level of service is high, and they are knowledgeable as well.
If you like wine — I recommend the flights. they have over 200 kinds. And they have sommeliers on staff, so let them help you.
If you like beer, let the staff pick one for you. The same knowledge they have for wines applies to beer as well. They curate (I used that word intentionally) a lot of beers that you can’t find anywhere else.
If you like to day-​drink, this is a good place to hit up late afternoon. They also have great mid week events!
This is a great couples place if one likes beer and one likes wine!

One of my favorite places to visit for date night! Wide variety of wines and beers. Small appetizers to snack on as well!
Owner and staff are very knowledgable and will help you find the perfect wine or beer to drink!

If you’re looking for a low-​key, relaxing time with a touch of class, Ybor City Wine Bar is the perfect spot! The Wine Bar was practically across the street from our hotel (Don Vicente) so it was extra nice to walk. We were immediately greeted and chose a corner table next to the spacious windows to people-​watch and for a front seat to the «Daily Tampa Thunderstorm.»
We ordered the «Cheese Platter for Two» and it REALLY exceeded my expectations. Even paying $ 12 I think I would have felt I «got my money’s worth.» HOWEVER, I had bought a coupon from CL Deals, «$ 15 for $ 30 worth of food and drinks,» so it was a steal! The cheese platter was artfully displayed with summer sausage, brie with honey, Irish cheese, cashews, olives and more! It was so beautiful and tasty too!
We couldn’t decide on which wines to get so we got the «Sommelier’s Choice» for a wine tasting! Included was two Whites, two Red’s along with one bubbly Rosé! I wasn’t a fan of either of the Whites (but I *only* like Riesling, Torrontés, or Gewürztraminer.) But the «Parker Station Pinor Noir» had us both FLOORED on how amazing it was!!! I have crowned it my NEW favorite wine! It was smooth, oaky, buttery, and just a DELIGHT! It took all my will power not to become too possessive, knock my husband away, and drink all of it.
Doing the «Sommelier’s Choice» was enlightening because I would have NEVER tried a wine from the $ 9 list (I’m cheap!) and as a result I would have NEVER known it to exist! So kudos to you Miss Sommelier! When we arrived we were the only ones in the table top area but soon enough a raucous group entered and sat in the couched corners. They were HILARIOUS! They quickly befriended us and when they heard it was Robert’s birthday they all immediately burst out in Happy Birthday to him! It just reinforced AGAIN how *friendly* everyone in Tampa was!!!
We exited with a HUGE smile on our face! Ybor City Wine Bar was effortlessly easy and a wonderfully refined dinner!
