Excellent experience from shopping to shoes. Corey spent more than ample time giving my mother and I assistance and instruction. I now know why I had such a difficult time fitting shoes. I went to the store to solve one problem and left having solved two. I also left with a pair in the bag and one on the foot. I walked for four hours as I shopped the mall without aching feet.
This experience could probably be called «lifestyle changing.» I plan to spend two days park hopping and I am not the least concerned about having trouble walking. I now have quality, supportive shoes that are allowing me to walk pain free for hours. I will return to shop again.

I started shopping at The Walking Store when they had a location in the Brandon Mall. I was referred by a podiatrist. I wish I had gone straight there instead of spending hundreds of dollars on hard RX shoe inserts, and suffering thru painful shots in my foot, I now know that all I needed was a quality pair of shoes!!!
Well, they closed, so now I drive over to International Mall on 2223 N. West Shore in Tampa. By now my husband and I both know to only buy shoes that are good for our feet! They were having a clearance sale and thanks to the patience of Eric in helping us try on a bazillion pairs we ended up buying 10 pairs!!!
We also picked up an Oil Treatment sponge. When i got home I proceeded to treat the shoes and my sponge for some reason ran out of oil on the second pair. I called the store and a most helpful Matthew W. who is the store manager offered to set a new one aside for me to pickup. I told him it was a long drive we would not be making for a while, and he offered to ship. The store does not ship but he offered to do so on his own time and at his own expense! I offered to Pay Pal him some money and he would have nothing of it.
Well today my box arrives and it has my replacement plus a few more shoe care items in it that I probably should have gotten while I was there. Amazing!
This is the ONLY store I will buy shoes at. They carry only the best brands, they know their brands and they will patiently find the right shoe for your foot.
How is it we will spend so much money on nice looking clothes and then settle for cheap uncomfortable shoes? Those cheap shoes are doing damage that will catch up with us one day.
All of the shoes we bought have as much or more style than the shoes at regular stores. Plus they are quality made and will last much longer. These are shoes that if you wanted to, could be taken to a cobbler and repaired over and over. You can’t do that with most of the cheap shoes out there today.

It used to be that comfortable shoes were what your 60-​year old aunt wore, but that is no longer the case. The Walking Company has shoes that are comfortable and stylish. In fact most people won’t realize you bought the shoes more for their comfort than their look.

Very helpful! They also have a list of hospitals that are signed up for discounts. Mine was 20 percent off which is pretty good!
