Your review helps others learn about great local businesses. We went to this coffee place for first time since we are just move to West Chase. We ordered with my daughter a West Chase Breakfast. My daughter found in her dish a big dark fingerprint. We talked to the waitress and she told us we had to make a complaint before start eating, very unpolite and she didnt apologize for that. We did not ask for a new breakfast, we only wanted to make a complain so they can be more careful and clean in the future. We felt we didnt have voice overthere, very bad experience, Rosa

I am a huge fan of this place. I got lucky moving to Tampa and being so close to this very relaxing coffee shop. I have ordered several things off the menu and have not been disappointed. A great place to treat clients for java and food.

The coffee is so good. Nice to have options like this in town. I rank their breakfast sandwiches top 5 ever in life for me. These guys could run Star bucks outta Westchase if they wanted to be more competitive.

Great big box alternative in the neighborhood. Definitely worth trying if you need a change, and some tasty coffee. Great and friendly casual staff. Lots of parking except on market days or evening dinner rush hour.

Love the cappuccinos! Yum! So many flavors to choose from! Love the almond and butterscotch! Most of all, the costumer service is ONPOINT! The breakfast burrito isn’t bad either!

The Grind is a great café for coffee and breakfast. It’s possible to eat clean here with some manipulation of the menu or ordering Ala Carte. However it’s not that great for lunch. The salads have cheese, hummus, tabouli, corn, bacon… all not very clean in my opinion(I don’t eat legumes, grains, anything processed). I went for the Greek w/o feta and added chicken. It was just OK. So I’d recommend highly as a breakfast spot but not so much for lunch!

This place was OK. I can’t say I was super impressed especially for the price of food. 50.00 for two people to order breakfast and drinks is a little much. You can go to a nice all you can eat Sunday brunch with unlimited drinks for this price. I’d only go back for a small sandwich in the future. The staff was nice. Food came out on reasonably fast.

My new favorite spot. The café is beautiful inside. Very hip! Staff is very friendly and always up for a good conversation. The food is great, and the coffee is to die for. Best thing is they have a drive-thru!!!

Thank you shout out to Mark H for putting me on to this spot. It’s been the best breakfast I’ve enjoyed since arriving in Tampa last Thursday to help my sister recuperate after her kidney transplant. Loved the cool music playing on the sound system — not cool jazz — but tenor sax and a piano driven tune, followed by an independent singer songwriter ballad etc etc. Cool vibe sitting at the counter. Liked the place. Good Feng shui. Scotty did a great job serving me. Chef Reggie was friendly and he did an excellent job cooking up scrambled eggs, thick slices of Applewood bacon, TO-DIE-FOR-DELICIOUS potatoes. Seasoned just right– these red bliss potatoes were spectacular. The coffee was fantastic. Delicious, dark roasted goodness. Unlike many places I’ve been to around here, you get a MAJORSIZEMUG as opposed to a glass that needs constant refills(I NEED my coffee). The fresh squeezed OJ was tasty(I watched it being prepared). Only bummer was the toast. Arrived late and wasn’t artisan bread). Overall 5 stars with one deducted for that reason. But you can be sure, I’ll be back and I’m betting we move to 5 before I Leave town.

This is the Breakfast & Breakfast place I have been dying for since we moved here!!! It was a quaint little coffee shop. We had really great, friendly & personable service — wonderful people. My husvand got the breakfast burrito and I had an awesomely fluffy croissant that my scrumptious egg sandwich was on, although it diesnt cime it any sides… I went for the regular, straight up vegetarian(egg, tomato, spinach + cheddar) version for around 425 pennies, but you can add meat for an upcharge. I chose to add on a side of roasted potatoes, and by golly I sure am glad I did… holy… crap. so good. the herbs & seasoning… YAAHMM! I washed it all down with a perfectly hot mocha, and really enjoyed it… my husband’s drip coffee wasn’t his favorite though. As you can see from my photos the ambiance and style was a sohpisticated cozy and quite lovely. It sounded like Bön Iver and other quirky-awesome coffee house indie jams. Loved. It. Food, ambiance, people, service, AWESOME! NEWFAVORITE! We will be back, and we are telling our friends!

I come here when I want a fancy coffee. The lattes are handcrafted, served in an actual ceramic mug, and topped off with coffee foam art in the shape of a heart or leaf. They have numerous selections for sweet syrup add ins. My favorites are the almond and macadamia nut. I’d like to try their chai latte and blended drinks. They have gluten free options on the menu and in their bakery items. I had a gluten free muffin and it was pretty tasty. Last week, for breakfast I ordered the breakfast sandwich with smoked salmon, which I was told they cure in house. It was yummy but a little more chewy than usual. It’s a pleasant place to hang out because the temperature is perfect. The Westchase Starbucks is extremely cold inside so I prefer the Grind when I’m planning to sit indoors.

I ordered an Americano and an egg white veggie omelet. Both were fabulous. The omelet was generous in size and I could not consume it all. I don’t have photos because I was really impressed with the presentation and got started right away. Grind serves it with very soft roasted herbed potatoes. The coffee is by far one of the best cups I’ve tasted in the State of Florida. I order this drink without a lot of water so that I can get a true sense of the coffee flavor. This cup was smooth without creamer. Last but never least was the service. I don’t think I heard the words«no» or «we don’t do that» at any time in the visit. The cashiers and wait staff were warm and confident with an «I can do that» attitude that I always appreciate in a restaurant. Keep it up Grind. I will be back.

Local coffee yo Pick your cup, it will be good Bar open for chat Siphons, drip, pour over, chemex, espresso. You name it – they’ve got it. And they cater to a fake coffee drinking crowd as well – tons of flavors and mixes and teas. The vibe inside is friendly and open. The coffee bar is welcome to local conversation, and the wifi is available for those whose best friend is their technology. I had a pretty strong pea berry hario v60 pour over – a nice afternoon pick me up. I may stop by again to try some other coffee maker and bean combo. These guys have a passion, so don’t be afraid to ask what they like or what they think is the cleanest cup. Slow down, stop by, grab a coffee, and enjoy.

Loved this place. From the farm fresh eggs to the«real butter» and pure maple syrup they are a step above most brunch places. I ordered the omelet that was on special and they even were happy to customize it with salmon instead of bacon. Super nice staff. Delicious coffee. Nice décor. What more do you need?!

I’m not from the area but travel to Tampa occasionally for work. On my way to a client meeting and desperately in the need of caffeine, I stumbled upon the Grind. I had a phenomenal spinach and egg breakfast sandwich and a large iced coffee that, to this day, is the best iced coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Do you guys deliver to Philly?

The Grind is a really awesome local coffee shop. They also serve breakfast at a very reasonable price. I tried their breakfast burrito and it was extremely large and satisfying and it was not expensive at all. The ambiance of the place is also very contemporary and I love that there is an outside area where patrons can sit. Their white chocolate mocha latte is delicious and so are all of their teas! Look out for their specials. Also, the baristas there are very friendly! Service is a little bit slow for a coffee shop but overall, definitely a fun place to go!

I’m often looking for a place that serves breakfast sandwiches into the afternoon, especially on weekends when I enjoy sleeping in. Unilocal helped me find this spot in a plaza loaded with other places that my friends and I are very familiar with… yet I honestly had no idea The Grind was right there too. Modern interior featuring high-top tables, more casual type seating and counter space as well. Plenty of fresh looking baked items on display including scones and muffins that were tough for me to ignore. From The Grind’s very nice website, I knew I wanted the egg sandwich on a toasted everything bagel and added turkey sausage to it. The employee who took my order told me it would not take long and it took even less time than I expected. Good sandwich, wouldn’t call it great. No doubt it was made fresh, but perhaps it was a little bland overall considering there were plenty of ingredients to make something stand out from a flavor standpoint. Still, I like the place, enjoyed the fast service and the convenience of The Grind being right there near so many other good spots right off Linebaugh.

Very nice, comfortable place with very flavorful food. We had excellent Blueberry Pancakes that were light but filling and an Applewood Bacon & Cheese Omelet that had plenty of lean and tasy bacon. Plus the coffee was top notch. This may turn out to be a steady breakfast place!

Based on Mark, our top comedic writer. Wife and I went for breakfast this am. Mark missed his calling. This home run hitter should have played pro ball. You hit it out of the park again, This place is, as Billy Crystal would say, marvelous. That sausage breakfast burrito was delicious. Only draw back make sure your sitting at a table to fully enjoy it. I did based on Mr. Unilocal. My wife had a bagel, egg and spinach sandwich. Only complaint, she should have 2 stomachs. The coffee wonderful. Go you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been coming here CAUSUALLY for over a year now and have always left satisfied, especially with the morning breakfast burrito. Add some turkey sausage to that joker and savor the flavor, baby! However, DONOT attempt to eat the burrito while driving. This will end badly for you with salsa stains all over your work clothes. Trust me, eat it there or hold your horses until you get to work. Also, the salsa that accompanies the burrito is damn delicious. Not sure where they order it from, but I wouldn’t mind stocking it at home. The offer a ton of coffee variations, but I always go with a «iced coffee add cream and sugar» and it always hits the spot. I don’t really get too fancy with it. The drive-thru has been open for a hot minute now, and I honestly wasn’t quite sure how it would work out, but there are always 3 to 4 cars in the thing when I go, so I assume it’s benefiting all involved. In the mornings, the place is always packed, more so on Fridays(for some reason). It’s just really great to see this indy coffee shop doing so well in the face of starfux down the street. Upgrading to a 5 for 12+ months of flawless execution!
