The Barbers’shop

This was the first time I’d taken my 3 year old to a real barber shop. Previously it was just SportsClips, or Super Cuts, etc. But this was definitely different than that, and much much better. My son is a white boy with fine, straight, blonde, white boy hair, which seems to make it hard to get a haircut that blends well. Usually after his haircut there are always visible choppy lines and it looks pretty bleh. But this time there are no choppy lines and the overall shape is great. I am so impressed. I am bad with names, but the guy with the glasses in the middle of the shop worked with my son.
The only negative was the price. $ 14.75 is a little higher than what I’m used to for a kid’s cut, but it was excellent service and an excellent cut. I also didn’t know they don’t take credit cards. So I was very embarrassed when I only had enough cash to cover the cut, and none to leave for a tip. But that’s on me. The barber was actually very gracious when this happened, and he still thanked me for coming in.
Overall, I am sorry they’re not closer to my part of town, otherwise this would be our regular place. Maybe we’ll come get his hair done there for special occasions when he needs to look extra special.

Great haircuts at a reasonable price. Usually only minimal wait times. This place has been a North Tampa staple for quite a while now, and I’ve never had anything but a good experience going here for a haricut.
As others have mentioned this is a babershop, not a hair styling business, so they finish the haircuts with a hot shave trim.

Since my barber of 20+ years retired, I’ve taken up trying out barber shops when I travel. This place is a winner. In and out within 15 minutes. Vacuums on the clippers. Straight razor shave on the tops of the ears and back of the neck. If I need a haircut next time I’m in town here, this is where I’ll go. Like many barber shops, it’s cash only.

The best barber shop in the Tampa area. Very old school and always the best conversations. All ages are welcomed. The guys are great and have been the only barber shop I and my son have been to in the last 20 years@

Very old school. All the guys are great, but different. One of the few places where you get a hot shaving cream straight razor shave. Very nice. I’ve seen kids 4 or 5 years old and guys probably 95 years old and everything in between.
Even if you don’t get a hair cut there, it is cool to stop in and see all the planes and stuff on the walls.
