Smoothie King

My favorite is tropical lean 1 and green tea tango. With discounts, price are reasonable.

It really bugs me that an establishment that sells a more premium product, in a nice part of town would «short» the product in the cup. I’ve been here multiple times and every time I get the same thing, a large Angel Food. And every time they fail to fill the cup up. I’m talking $ 9 for a smoothie here. And it almost always 1″ below the rim.
Now maybe I’m making a mountain out of a mole hill here, but the last time was the last straw. It was almost a full 2″ below the top of the cup. I was more than annoyed. I will not be frequenting this Smoothie King any longer.

I was surprised to read the reviews being so negative here until I realized that it looked a lot different than how it looked when I came in. I myself am not a huge fan of being healthy, but I can’t deny their delicious smoothie options, the healthy part is just an added bonus! I always get something from the Local options and it’s usually something different each time. Workers there are polite and rather patient with us since we’re not accustomed to the menu (and my sister is a picky chooser and likes to take her time) and the smoothies are made in front of us (think Subway — through a glass panel you could say?) and are ready under 5 minutes. Good place, we need to definitely change the rating and get this place recognized!
Forgot to mention: In the only picture here, their shelves look stocked, but you haven’t seen stocked yet until you come back in to their new renovated place! As I stated, I wasn’t a healthy person, but as they were making our smoothies I couldn’t help but notice some really nice, healthy looking stuff! There were protein bars of all kinds, protein powder. things, and nice organic/​raw/​vegan food options there too. We ended up grabbing two large vegan cookies for the night to compliment our smoothies and left happy and promptly.

I go out of my way to drive to another Smoothie King because the one on South Dale Mabry smells dirty and moldy. So, what is making that smell? Rotten food? It’s never clean and the help is not very helpful. People should realize that if it smells this bad that something is wrong with either the cleanliness or the food (or both).

I’m a VIP MEMBER HERE. yep. Discounts baby! I love the gladiator smoothie. It’s amazing! I normally add 2 shots of protein! The owner is really nice. I am a massage therapist and he welcomed my business cards to be displayed. So kind!

When we walked in the entire building had a sort of sour smell, not a smoothie smell but more like a dirty sock. That was an instant turn off, but we stayed because well we wanted smoothies. The employees behind the counter greeted us politely enough. When it came to our turn to order I had the Pomegranate Punch with apple juice and bananas. When I ordered the girl behind the counter mentioned that that was one of her favorites and she recommended adding strawberries so I did, with small upcharge. My friend got the Gladiator that comes with protein. Both smoothies were good, mine was a bit tart, but good.
The store is stocked with drinks, powder’s and an assortment of healthy seeming foods. There were quite a few people ahead of us so it seemed to take 20 minutes before we got our order. For me most part I prefer Extreme juice, but all in all we had a decent time, but spending close to $ 20 for two smoothies is a bit much. So I gave 3 stars due to a few factors, smell, cleanliness, price and disorganization.

Located across the street from Plant High School this is a prime spot for teenagers. I am not a teen but enjoyed my experience and my smoothie. While my smoothie was being made I was looking at the protein drinks and the girl at the counter actually offered me a sample. I thought that was nice. Parking is easy and it is a quick in and out. Enjoy!

Good smoothies, fun people.

I got a good smoothie from here this morning (think it was called angel food). good thing i asked what one of the ingredients (the only one i did not know) was because unless you ask they put ‘natural sugar’ (substitute?) in the fresh fruit smoothies. Mine had: banana, strawberries, vanilla soy protein, LF milk and multivits (maybe vanilla yogurt as well). It tasted good, was a bit sweeter than I hoped but was good enough for me to consider returning tomorrow. Still do not see why they would ever put any kind of sugar into a smoothie when fresh fruit is already so sweet. Smallest size cup is 20 oz, would be nice if they did an additional size that was smaller than that.
