Now this was a new adventure. I got in a Groupon for especial foot bath, massage, and facials. This was part of my mom’s Christmas present and of course I had to go with her to make sure that everything was adequate.
It is located on Martin Luther King right next to the Pink Pony, which kind of got me thinking, but in the true spirit of Unilocal,I know not to judge a book by its cover. And in this case it was very true. It was a small building that they only utelize halfthe building. Upon driving up I was somewhat dismayed by its location and the nondescript building, it certainly did not look like a spa.
Upon entering there was a very nice foot station set up for the foot bath, which was quite unusual. It was pretty cold water and they put like an ionizer in it that in a band on your wrist to detoxify your body. After I don’t know about 20 minutes or so my water was completely orange and had some black flakes in it which have come supposedly out of my body. Was quite an eye opening experience. A word of advice if you have a pacemaker you are unable to safely perform this procedure.
Next we went to the facial. The facial was absolutely wonderful the creams and potions, the machine, the humidifier and everything that was done was absolutely wonderful. My mom and never had a facial in her life and she’s going to be 89 next month. I have to admit that we both left with skin that was equally as soft, I don’t know what that saying about me but, I guess it’s a good testament to her.
The massage was excellent. It covered the entire body and whatever your specific problems where is the area that so concentrated on. It was very thorough and she explained what she was doing as she was doing it so there are no surprises. And it did cover both sides of your body which was wonderful.
I have to say both women were so very, very knowledgeable about not only their professions but also some forms of Eastern medicine and different ways to obtain a more holistic health outlook. They were very happy to share this information which I found super informative and was quite pleased about.
The main thing is this was all about my mom and a special Christmas present for her. She had a wonderful time I think she was purring like a little kitten. She said it was the best present I’ve given her since I gave her her dog. You have to know how much you love your dogs to know that that’s saying a whole lot!
I think it’s a generational thing or maybe because she was a single mother raising three kids when we were younger. But she never indulges in anything nice like this for herself or for relaxation or just to do something nice for yourself. I was very happy I made this this is selection is one of her gifts and that she appreciated it so much. Of course it was followed up by dinner and a movie afterwards to make the day and evening complete as a mother daughter bonding experience.
Yep, never judge a book by its cover. This is a hidden gem in Tampa that you would never, never expect to find next to the pink pony and drew park. But, what difference does it make where it’s located? The services they provide are wonderful and leave you feeling totally refreshed in new. Give it a try you certainly won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to make a reservation.
What’s a girl to do? Coming up with a special Christmas ideas for the perfect present are always hard to do but, I seem to have a knack for knowing what people truly want even though they never mentioned it.

Very friendly and professional. Vivian and Michael work well together and show that they want the customers to leave there in better spirits. I will definitely be going back.
