Inside smelled weird but the food was so good, I would give six stars if possible. Got the sampler and it was superb. Sat outside on a Friday evening which was entertaining. Mint tea was awesome and the refills were always timely. Would definitely recommend.

Nice food, great service, great Hookah, nice view and people watching from the front Patio. The food was a nice surprise I was not expecting it to be so good. The young lady made some great suggestions regarding the Hookah and it was a good value. I wanted to relax, people watch, get something to eat, rest my feet & chill from a long day of touring Ybor City & this place was perfect for that.

Great ‘sweet’ tea. Great service, very friendly. The gyros are delish, so is the tzatziki, hummus and Greek fries. Tried this place after searching Unilocal for a lunch place close by, was not disappointed. It was excellent overall!

Wowza?! 5 whole stars you say. Why? Great question and the answer is simple: Excellent food, and phenomenal service. Rarely are those two linked in the same sentence. I parked in the garage off of 7th and 15th and walked the short distance on this cloudy day to the restaurant. I walked in and was greeted by a bubbly waiter who told us to sit wherever we’d like. We picked a window table and he commented that everyone that day was sitting near the windows, which just happened to be lined with quaint benches stacked with pillows. I said it would be the perfect seat if the white board outside wasn’t blocking most of the window. He simply stated, «I will go right ahead and move it then.» He then asked if we wanted some mint tea or something stronger. When I said a margarita, he said that they didn’t have any but would be happy to go across the street and get one for me. :) I settled for the mint tea which turned out to be delicious. While ordering a gyro platter he tried to up sell me on Greek fries which had feta and seasonings on it, and I jokingly told him I would if he brought me an iPhone charger. He said, «I’ll be right back». He then proceeded to go across the street and bring me a charger and I just happened to be sitting next to a charger. My gyro platter arrived and since I am allergic to the yeast in the pita, he gave me some hummus to sample on my plate in place of it. The lamb was quite excellent and tasted delicious dipped in it. The fries were tasty as well with the feta, without being soggy. The music and clean and unique atmosphere was enticing as well. I would go back simply for the service! You’d be foolish to not try this place if you enjoy Greek and great service.

I have enjoyed many a Greek meals with a maiden name of Chronis so I was thrilled to find Row Boat with my friends last week. Jennifer was our server and made us feel so special — as if we were the only guests she needed to take care of and please the entire week. We all five loved the seating option with some chairs and some hard banquette with pillows galore from which to choose for cushioning! Vibrant colors and comfortable feel allowed us to stay and really enjoy this restaurant’s hospitality. From the combo beef & lamb wrap I had to my friends chicken quesadilla to a Greek Salad(minus the potato salad which was a disappointment) to falafels … we all loved, loved, loved the flavors and service

Solid spot in Ybor. Great staff and decent food. It’s just as good, if not better, than most of the overpriced Greek food in Ybor and you get a lot more for your money. Excellent for a casual dinner or take out.

I stopped into the rowboat for lunch during the week. The reason I decided to stop was I saw it had good reviews on Unilocal.I was not disappointed. The row boat is small and when I walked in I was promptly greeted by the servers. The workers were super friendly offered suggestions and insisted that I try the baklava. The food was came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. The prices are also very reasonable here. They also have unique iced tea which you should try if you go. The only thing about the row boat that could be improved in my humble opinion, is that it got a little warm in there, which is probably due to the many windows, the Florida heat, the restaraunt being small and the front door opening and closing so frequently. It wasnt so hot that I was sweating, but it was a little on the warm side for my preference. Try the row boat, you’ll probably like it. As suggested, you must try the baklava!

Great food, very accommodating to our large party of 6. Started with a sampler to share, highly recommend the hummus and baba ghanoush. Would also recommend the lamb shawarma. Add the extra dollar for the Greek fries, out of this world!!!

Food was really good for the price! Service was really good too. If you’re looking for cheap Greek food for a good price, this is the place to be!

We came here based on positive Unilocal reviews, not sure if this was the same Row Boat the reviews were talking about(sarcasm in case you missed it). Positives: ice tea with a mint sprig, outdoor seating, and their salad dressing. Negatives: the platter, all cooked items were over cooked and dry. The soup of the day, oil based? Gyro– it was OK then the Greek salad with chicken, we couldn’t eat the chicken, I’m not sure how it was prepared but it was not good– potentially too much paprika? The same for the fries– if you read my reviews, you know my love of fries… Regular & Greek fries were ordered, NONE we touched and I LOVE fries!!! I’m sorry, this boat is up the creek without a paddle.

Perfect meal and great laid-back vibe. Thank god for places that still make real food. If you come in, don’t miss the ketchup! Such a simple thing, and they nail it. Gyro platter was huge and definitely not overpriced. I’ll be back for baklava!

Four stars on Unilocal is how I found this place. The quality of the food and the warm welcome of Kelley the General Manager and her staff pushed it up to a five — here’s why: I was in Ybor City on business, dodging snowstorms in New England. The guy who greeted me last night welcomed me with a cucumber juice to start off. They make their own Tzatziki sauce and don’t toss the juice — Old World points for them. The menu strikes me as greek-meets-lebanese. All top notch, clean, bright, fresh ingredients. I came back on Saturday to finish some work on my laptop, seated outside and started with a generous Turkish coffee. Delicious food with a warm attitude.

This place was great. The mint tea was superb, I had the lamb gyro with fries. Sounds simple, but good lord it was delicious. The house made sauce that comes with the meal made it all even better. I had to ask for more. Definitely check it out.

This is awesome cute little Mediterranean restaurant with Vegan and Vegetarian options. We had the vegetarian Falafel and fries combo and a drink for $ 10. we walked in when they were closing but the owner was very nice and offered to service is anyway the staff was friendly as well. It was apparent they understand customer service. We will defiantly be back.

Was looking for a place to eat in Ybor and voila, we found this place(obviously using the Unilocal app). Everything about this restaurant is splendid. The service was great, price was reasonable, and the food was tasty! Typical Mediterranean food! We both had the lamb gyro. They have this thing where you pay $ 10 and get a drink, side, and sandwich. Yeah. Totally get that. I had the greek salad with it as my side and it was probably the best Greek salad that I’ve ever tasted. Maybe because it didn’t have olives in it, but still! Also had the mint iced tea as my drink and it was so refreshing. Looks a bit quirky from the outside, but try it out!

Cool bar attached to the Row Boat Mediterranean restaurant next door, and owned by the same folks. Friendly staff and good stiff drinks. Try the Old Cuban, is great.

I read about The Row Boat here on Unilocal.I came in here for a late lunch. I went with the great reviews on the Shawarma. That’s what I had with a side of seasoned French Fries and Mint Iced Tea. It was a special of the day. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The price was right at $ 9.99! Tasted similar to a Gyro! The house Ketchup was good. It had a similar taste to tartar sauce. The other sauce was Tahiti sauce and was tasty too! I could have had a Cuban being in Ybor City, but I was in the mood for something different and this hit the spot! I posted some pictures :)

We couldn’t decide where to eat but had some friends recommend Row Boat in Ybor. We had a great experience, the service was amazing and the food was perfect. We had the chicken shawarma platter-chicken was cooked perfectly, hummus was great, pita was warm and fresh. We also got the greek salad-very fresh and included mint, lemon and a stuffed grape leaves. I also had to try the ginger soup which was very tasty and healthy. Not impressed with the falafel though so I would not recommend that(we got that as a starter). Overall we were mostly impressed with the quality of the food for the price. Everything is very cheap and the portions are huge. The owner was very nice and we happened to be there when there were 2 for 1 drinks. They even gave us some free baklava when we were leaving. We will definitely be returning, food was great.

I love love love Mediterranean food– LOVE! I am a sucker for all things Tzatziki and hummus. Heading out of Clearwater back to Orlando I found this little Mediterranean place online and it was so conveniently situated just off I-4. Super easy off the interstate and super easy back on. Located in the Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa, this place doesn’t look like much on the outside but inside this place is a Mediterranean treasure. We opted for a table outside on the side of the building– cute little two tops(tables that seat two people only) — not really a designated outdoor dining area but it did the trick. The weather was so perfect it was worth sitting out on the street– but there are tables inside too. First of all– I ordered an iced tea. Most places it is just simply iced tea– no frills, no bells, no whistles. But when my iced tea arrived– there were fresh mint leaves in it. The best. No other sweetener needed. I ordered the lamb and beef quesadillas. The quesadillas are served with fries which I upgraded to the Greek fries which were served with feta cheese and a special sauce(I was told it was simply ketchup and horseradish mixed together.) The fries were ok– the special sauce really made a big difference. The quesadilla was about the most yummy dish I have had in a long while. It was stuffed with meat, tomatoes, kalamata olives, feta cheese and chives. Chad ordered the falafel platter. Even though my plate was unbelievably delicious I kinda wished I had ordered that. He had falafel, grilled pita bread, Greek fries and a small Greek salad. See that cup of green stuff? It was a spicy sauce. I dipped a fry into it and picked up what I thought was a huge serving of guacamole– but it was a spicy green sauce. And I mean spicy– but in a really good way. See that white sauce? It was a hummus based dressing. Was PERFECT with the falafel. I used it to dip my fries(thank you Chad for sharing.) A cool thing sitting outside, we watched a trolley run up and down the street. As the trolley passed I noticed the people on the trolley peering at us as we ate. They were admiring the food. And they should have. It was so delicious. As a food blogger I like to always be trying new places– especially in a city that I don’t live in and would like to explore further. I am sure that Tampa has a bunch of other restaurants I would love but I know that I would return to Row Boat and probably order the same thing again. Yummy– 4 ½ out of 5 sprouts for this sprout — wish they weren’t so cramped and had a little better outdoor space.
