The sandwiches from this truck are amazing. The pony bread they use doesn’t get soggy; it has a nice crunch to it that remains as you work you way through the sandwich. They don’t skimp on ingredients so the sandwiches are fuller and much better tasting than grill cheese I’ve had anywhere else. We tried a few different selections and weren’t disappointed by any of them, although I liked the Bexley the most. I can’t wait to try this truck again!

Why 4 stars? Because it’s a food truck dedicated to grilled cheese! — — — That sentence alone is enough for the 4 stars alone. I saw Riddle on the Griddle at a market in Carrollwood and after carefully making my way around the area, I quickly knew which truck I was going to dine from. I went with the Downtown, which is basically a BBQ Chicken grilled cheese. How can you lose?! I will say that it didn’t fully live up to the potential(hence the lack of a 5th star) but they may just be because I was spoiled by my recent visit to South Florida and New York Grilled Cheese Co. It’s really hard to articulate what was a bit off with it, but I guess the best way to say it is that there was just a lack of heartiness. It seemed just a little thinned out in general. Thicker bread and more stuffings inside would help. That being said, I very much enjoyed it, and hope to see ROTG at an event again in the future!

The Che-Bacon has a weird name, especially given there’s no cheddar, but it is delicious! Pepper jack cheese that’s a little spicy and bacon. Obviously bacon is wonderful. They all seem to come with a little tomato soup to dip in, great finishing touch.

This place was fantastic. Probably the cleanest food truck I’ve ever seen. The small cup of tomato soup was a perfect addition to every grilled cheese they have. They obviously know every ingredient is important in this simple recipe, so they have this fantastic bread called pony bread; they even list all of the ingredients for it. I’ll definitely hit this place up any time I see it no matter how hungry I am, just to get a taste.

I hate regular grilled cheese. Didn’t grow up with it and I’ve always had an issue with the taste of american cheese, which usually isn’t really cheese at all… gross. Riddle on the Griddle introduced me to a whole different world: The world of gourmet grilled cheese made out of delicious ingredients and REAL delicious gooey cheese. Seems so simple, I can’t believe I had never tried it that way, when you ban something from your life as a child I guess it sticks. I had the opportunity to try out this small food truck at the Seminole Heights sunday market and loved it! I ordered the Korie-Jo. Loved the pesto and sun dried tomato flavors. I didn’t even care that it was steaming hot outside and I was eating a sizzling hot sandwich. Devoured it. Also tried a little of the Che-Bacon. Had a kick, it wasn’t overpowering by any means but between the hot day, hot food, and spiciness it was just too much for me to bear. I really liked the service. They were so nice and patient and explained everything to us. When they saw me taking a picture of the menu they said that it constantly changes and they’re always making up new combos and creations. Can’t wait to try them!

I have seen this food truck many times at various farmers markets around town. I was famished this weekend at the Seminole Heights Market and decided to give Riddle On The Griddle a try. I can say that I will definitely be hitting this truck up again as it was delicious! There were a total of about 7 sandwiches on the menu and they all sounded good. I went for The Montana, which had cheddar, brie, ham, turkey, andred onion, and balsamic glaze. It was just the perfect amount of crunch and the mountain of cheese was delightful. I really liked the way that the balsamic glaze complimented the other ingredients. If you see Riddle On The Griddle, don’t wait a year to try them like I did!

I’m a sucker for a grilled cheese sandwich so my husband knew he would be able to lure me to the farmer’s market with the lure of melted dairy between two pieces of bread. Toss in an avocado and you have a happy girl. The Gambler with avocado, tomato & basil mayo caught my eye. That with a Mango Pineapple Lemonade to sip on the warm day was a nice early lunch to tide us over until it was time to head out to the Unilocal’s Around Tampa Bay party. The sandwich was loaded with cheese and it was hard not to get it all over me when eating. And the tomato soup dipping sauce was an added bonus. I will definitely be seeking these guys out on future visits to Cigar City.

Gourmet grilled cheese food truck. Offerings are fun and relatively affordable at $ 6($ 5 for a classic). You can get your grilled cheese with bacon, tomato and avocado or dried cranberries, pecans and goat cheese. They also have portabella mushroom, smoked ham & brie, roasted tomato blue cheese and chicken with peach salsa and provolone offerings. The $ 2 mango lemonade was also delish and reasonably priced. The owners are very nice. They do the Fresh Market at Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel, the Hyde Park market, the North Tampa Market in Carrollwood and the Seminole Heights Morning Market.
