Yes it’s a dive bar but it is a fun dive bar. Pool tables, darts, TVs, and a really diverse crowd make it a fun, casual place to have a good time. And the prices are not over the top like everything else in the Carrollwood area. I frequent the package store more often than the bar and it is like a trip back in time. It’s not pretty, not clean, they have no technology to speak of(there cash register is the oldest I’ve seen still in operation).but it’s all about location, location, location. And the staff in the package store are very friendly and quite flirtatious! I always leave feeling like a super model! It grows on you… give it a try!

PJ’s is a liquor store in front, and a bar in the back, each with its own entrance. We have stopped at the liquor store many times, but I never realized there was a large bar in the back of the building. Hubs brought me here on this night for a Bloody Mary. We ended up enjoying 2 apiece. With a decent tip, we got change back for a $ 20. And each Bloody Mary was quite tasty! In the 45 minutes we were there, seating around the large L-shaped bar filled up, although the rest of the bar was fairly empty. But this was early on a weeknight. For entertainment, several TV screens on the walls offer different sports & other programming, plus a couple of pool tables… And(possibly) karaōke on busier nights, with a small dance floor. A covered outdoor deck is also available with lots of seating. The interior hasn’t been remodeled in decades, but that only adds to the ambiance of this dive bar. We’ll definitely be back for their strong & delicious Bloody Mary!
