This company cannot honor their claims. They told me they made their own windows in Florida for the South, but could not give me an address of the factory. They claim they make their own glass with nine layers of solar and hurricane protection but the sample they showed me was exactly the same as the other windows we looked at. They claim buy two windows, get a third one free, but at over a $ 1000 per window they are just hiking up the price. We looked at a few window companies. The average price was about $ 700 a window installed for a white vinyl window with enhanced solar protection. After all the companies did their two hour dog and pony show we just looked at the bottom line and their reviews. This company has had over a dozen complaints on the BBB since last year. I noticed they opened and closed their Altamonte Springs office. I’d be terrified to see my window company go out of business after spending $ 10,000 on new windows! Needless to say we didn’t buy from New South Windows. Do your own research. Get three quotes and read the reviews like we did. Although we had to wait a month to get new windows in our house in Florida, we are very happy we made the decision and saw a huge drop in our utilities.

Initially we met with 3 windows companies including Home Depot. The NewSouth sales guy was by far the most«salesman» ish of the 3 but he was just old school. The simple fact was their windows, at least the display they brought, was by far better quality than the others we looked at. Home Depot’s best windows weren’t even close to being as nice. But of course, price is important. He started his price high and we were able to negotiate with him. I love this because none of the others would negotiate. We ended up getting him down to a price below the others(and their quality of windows was clearly better). So once we settled on price and windows, I looked at the online reviews. My wife and I freaked out when we saw BBB reviews and Unilocal reviews like«Sherri G’s». We were very nervous. Fortunately, we had zero problems. The windows have been in for about 2 months(from this review) and they are everything we had hoped; our first electric bill was $ 92 down from $ 150, I don’t hear my neighbors AC at night anymore and our house feels much more comfortable. The inspection went flawlessly; the city inspector even commented that these were«really nice» windows. We are very happy we made this investment. The only thing I’ll mention is that I think we were supposed to tip the installers; I did buy them lunch one day(handed him a $ 20 bill) but I think I should have given him like $ 50 after the install was complete which I did not. They did a good job and worked very hard and were very respectful of my home and privacy so deserved to have a tip.

We couldn’t be happier with the service we received from New South Windows. The salesman was courteous and knowledgeable, gave us a great product presentation and left us with a thorough, no-pressure quote that covered all our options. The installation crew showed up on time and did an excellent job. The windows were installed perfectly and look fantastic! After installing each window, they thoroughly cleaned it and the surrounding area. There was no mess. They really treated my home as if it was their own and we really appreciate it. I’d heartily recommend New South if you’re in the market for windows!

It has been months since New South Window installed my windows and they have provided nothing but very poor customer service. They continue to threaten me with court, liens, and lawsuits– including a slander charge for what I posted on Unilocal. However, everything I have said is true and I can prove it. I believe that other consumer should know what they are like before they decide to purchase from them. Go to my website to see pictures and read more about how they are trying to foreclose on my house! AND look out for the news articles coming out! {wink} All I want is my defective windows fixed, my stucco fixed, and compensation for the time and money I have spent trying to show that it is against the law that the Notice of Commencement was improperly signed by a notary outside of my presence(which they admit they do commonly). They state that it is their policy to not discount for any reason so they are still requiring me to full payment even though I have spent approx $ 2k in fees, missing work, postal cost, etc A WEEKAND A HALF after they placed my windows they placed a lien on my property. I never received notice, but it was attached to my online file. So sweet. And now they have served me to foreclose on my house. This isn’t right! So, please, do yourself a favor and stay away. If you’re in Orlando try Collis Roofing and Windows because they placed my doors(which NewSouth Window fudged big time) and they were wonderful. UPDATE: The lien was removed, but TWOYEARS later, they go behind my back and SUEME! They win only because I didn’t even know I was being sued so I never showed up! Sneaky, sneaky. Are these the people you want to deal with?
