The best West Indian RestAurant in TB. The cakes are a bit pricey but everything else is all worth it!

Went in for the lunch buffet and only needed one plate because I was full. This is my second visit and I xoxoxo the chix, cabbage, rice and peas! The fruit punch passion is the cherry on top. This is my fav caribbean food in Tampa and must I add, I am very picky, I will definitely re-​visit again :)

Let me start by saying they have the best oxtails in Tampa. My friend and I come here quite often, usually on Friday night during all you can drink from 6 – 10 for $ 10. I usually have rum runners & she’ll have a few different drinks. Well, Friday Nov 13, we got there at about 7pm. I had rum runners she had martinis. Now the bartender that evening was not personable, he has zero people skills. The bathroom smelled like urine, there was no toilet tissue and no hand soap! At about 9 in the evening another bartender comes in & rude dude is very happy to tell us she will be serving us because «I’m done I’m going home». She now tells us we cannot have mixed drinks it’s 1 liquor & 1 juice only. We’ve already had a few mixed drinks so far & every time we come I drink rum runners and she’ll have the mixed drink of her choice, never been a problem. After some back & forth with her, we ask one of the food servers for the manager. The bar manager comes over and she very nice, very professional and agrees that the drinks we have been drinking are fine. Well rude dude reappears back behind the bar my friend orders a blue Hawaiian and he says NO, she asks why not, he says, «it’s one liquor one juice per drink» well you have been serving us mixed drinks all night and the manager says it’s ok, he yells «then tell her to come make it»!
I am not here to knock a business, but rude dude needs not be behind the bar, ever, the drink rule needs to be established with everyone, employees and customers and they need to be consistent. We finally just got up and left, good customer service goes a long way.
My question is, how did the employees wash their hands if there was no soap in the bathroom?
I gave one star for the oxtails and one for the very professional bar manager.
I am very disappointed because like I said, we go there often.

I will not be going back. Identity stolen from here. Went here for the Mayweather fight and used my debit card. Next day charges for gas, Lowes, Walmart were on my card. Three other people I know attended same fight and their card information was stolen as well.

Horrible. Manager is rude. I came to visit from Atlanta, GA and was stuck at the door for 20 mins trying to get in because of the credit card machine not working. I had someone order food for me as I waited at the front door. Came and sat down after the machine gets back working, and find out that the bartender never put the food order in. The manager literally came over and yelled at me, was very rude and defensive from the time he approached. The kitchen apparently closed at 8 and I could not get my order. He caused a scene. Unprofessional. I will never support or eat at this place and I will advise my family and everyone in the area to never to. I’ve never been disrespected so much before at a restaurant establishment in my life.

I’m giving it a 3 even though I was completely satisfied with my meal. If you want real authentic Jamaican food, I would definitely recommend here. But if you are looking for good and friendly customer service, wrong place to be at.

Stopped by for lunch at around 11:30 am. The bartender informed it would be another 25 minutes for the dish I wanted because «they were working on the sauce». So I ordered the jerk chicken instead. The menu said it came with a choice of side but he never asked me what I wanted for the side. So I asked him what I came with and he said «it comes with rice and peas. If they have plantains, they’ll give you some too.» Unsurprisingly, I didn’t get any plantains. I got a mountain of mediocre rice and peas and 2 TINY pieces of chicken and they were both mostly bones. Very disappointing. It was $ 5 for the lunch especial. Save yourself the trouble and go to the Jerk Hut. A couple bucks more gets you the all you can eat buffet.

Horrible customer service just left there 7-​13-​2014 for happy hour sat down to eat ask the bar attendant if I can order food from other bar see said No!!’ And walked away not helping me any further, I sat there for 25 min with her not acknowledging me at all helping 2 guys that came in withe she smiled and flirted with the guys for about 10 mins helping them and fixing there drinks, then she went to 2 females and made drinks for them, then walked over to me 25 mins later and said oh! You want a menu smh I just looked at her with a crazy look like realllly… She made my drink and said 5 $ gave her the money she brought back $ 10 And 5 singles hoping for a tip NOT! On my watch, waited for the waitress to take my ordered she was just as nasty as the bar attendant, told her that the girl never took my order she dismissed what I was saying and ask me what I wanted smh, when she brought out the food it was $ 10.99 on menu but she took $ 13.89 for the meal, don’t know what taxes she going by never got a receipt, came home to tell my room mate about my experience and she ask me if it was a oriental bar girl, she said she had the same problem with her bottom line is I won’t ever go back there again, BEWARE!!! Food came back a medium not a large

Really wanted to try some Caribbean food so i walk in at 8:15 on a Thursday night. Three people standing at the bar stopped me from getting to them halfway saying «were closed!»
When asked for the menu, it read open till 9 on Thursdays.

Bartender did not touch my lime for my drink woohooo. I just hate it when a bartender touches my lime for my beer with their bare hands so I was very pleased about that. This place has a lot of potential if marketed right. The live music was awesome plus I got a free drink for checking in on Facebook. As great as she was she didn’t know about the Facebook promotion they were having.

Great live music! A man who can sing sing sing and another who could take down Kenny G! Great company and a free drink for FB check in pretty nice I must say. Location was eh and a little hidden.
