Dollar General Store

Why are old people so rude, so my sister needed a few items and some change and the old black guy on the register was a complete and utter douche. At the end of the transaction my sister asked for change for laundry and the guy said he didn’t have any! When you could clearly see he did. He then had the audacity to tell my sister to go to Amscot that «they would get her right». How dare he, won’t be going there anymore. The disgusting people these establishments hire is saddening! It’s all about customer service and that individual didn’t deliver whatsoever!

This is an odd store. I can certainally say that they are NOT cheaper on all items. A few items are cheaper, than say Publix, but some items are more. You really have to watch what the prices are and what you buy. There are some things that are great deals and other that are no deal or bargin at all. When it says everything is a dollar it makes you think that everything is a bargain which isn’t necessarily the case.
It really isn’t a clean store. It does not have knowledgeable or friendly staff. All items are not marked with a price.
I find pet food, sometimes has a good price here. One thing I’ve noticed is that they have quite a variety of dog treats but no cat treats, what’s wrong with kitties? Overall, I don’t find any real specials here, that are really worth my time to stop and buy. On greeting cards it really is a bargain because they no maximum $ 1.
I like this store for the times that I need to buy multiple small gifts for different occasions. For example if I’m having an Easter egg hunt and I want a prize for every day I can go in then get 12 gifts for $ 12 that have something for everybody. In that way this store is quite practical and works for all of those needs. On the other hand you never quite know what you might find here and it could be a real deal. The only way to find out is to go in and check it out for yourself, we all have different needs and wants.
Another problem, check out is a long process. There is never more than 1 check out associate. Oh well, another day, another, another learning experience.
What’s a girl to do? Shop where it’s convenient and has good prices.
