I vowed never to come back to this bar after a dancer employed by the bar called me a f*cking fat ass just because I asked him to slide over so I could grab my drink. Well I broke that vow this weekend and have to say I had an awesome time. The bartenders were nice the atmosphere was fun and festive. My ban on Bradley’s is over! :)

I was pleasantly surprised when I came back here after about 2 years. Several improvements have been made– and while it isn’t the BEST bar in the world, it is what it is. I have no qualms about it. I came every single night on my trip to Ybor City. The bartender on my first night was kinda rude. He was a short, chubby bald guy with facial hair. This was my first stop of the night after checking into my hotel and driving 4 hours from Miami. He immediately said he could tell I was drunk… funny, because I hadn’t had a single beverage in over 5 hours. Whatever. He was also slow with service, on top of being kinda rude. The entire night he picked on me for ordering more drinks and it made my entire group kinda uncomfortable, especially my boyfriend. That night they had $ 12 «sink or swim» where uou had all the well drinks and beer your heart desired. The next night, we had a different bartender and loved him. He was a sorta muscular guy with glasses and dark hair. Very sweet. Their happy hour was cheap, $ 8 for titos vodka and cranberry. We had one and left. The music was great. The next night, we redeemed our happy hour chips from the day before and had a couple more rounds. It was a quiet Saturday night and we enjoyed it.

I was in town for a few days and decided to checkout the scene in Ybor City. The bar is kind of your run-of-the-mill gay bars, but the vibe is pretty chill. They have 2-for-1 on Wednesday nights, so you can get rather toasted quickly because every pour is like a double anyways. It wasn’t very crowded, but everyone was really friendly. They have an outdoor patio area in front so you can hang out if you don’t want to be inside and want to watch all the debauchery going on on 7th Ave. I took an Über from downtown Tampa and it was roughly $ 4. Not bad for a night of drankery!

Bradley’s is a good sized gay bar but also a somewhat grungy looking gay bar. However that sort of fits in with the grunginess of what is Tampa’s Ybor City. They have a pretty effective bouncer at the door to check ID though his efforts are in fact more directed at keeping the riff raff, those high on drugs and those who are already intoxicated out. And if you know Ybor at night, it has plenty of those types. Bradley’s has happy hours every day until 9:00pm on everything except top shelf, theme nights most every night of the week like a Monday Madness wherein the happy hour extends through the night, a shot and beer night on Wednesdays, a $ 200 cash strip(they don’t go all the way) contest on Thursdays and entertainment shows on Fridays and Saturdays. I haven’t seen their entertainment but have heard it is pretty good though mostly of some rather comic drag divas. In fact the even have an area with a separate bar inside called«Divas Dance.»

Enjoyed both of my recent visits immensely! The bartenders at the front bar were very kind — drinks were strong and shots made perfectly. I did venture in on a weekend and the back dance floor was packed, which is a good thing, DJ was spinning the beats and the crowd was young, nice looking and friendly. Lot’s of guys with their shirts off dancing. A few strippers on the bars and dance boxes — a nice evening!

First gay bar I’ve been to in Ybor City and disappointing. Drinks are ok but the go go dancers would rather stand on the box talking to each other and sip their drinks than dance. The DJ is ok but plays music that doesn’t fill the dance floor. Wouldn’t recommend this bar but if it’s open then stop in for a drink.

Relaxed atmoshphere, strong LIITs, the drag show is hard to watch, but the cute guys walking around makes up for that! Would like it more if smoke smell wasn’t so strong, and the music wasn’t so loud.

We stopped by Bradley’s for a drink on New Year’s Eve and ended up staying much longer than we anticipated. I knew we were going to have a relaxed evening just by how friendly the bouncer was to us out-of-towners. The vibe is friendly and relaxed, the drinks are cheap, there’s no cover, and they put on a pretty solid drag show. We had fun hanging out on the front patio watching everyone else stand in line waiting to get into the overpriced parties across the street, and there’s never a lack of people watching in Ybor on New Years. The only downside to Bradley’s is the smoke, which is thick as smog in some of the massive bar/dance areas.

This was the first bar I went to in Ybor city. I really like it, it has more of a chill vibe in comparison to other establishments in the area. The staff is really nice and attentive and they don’t seem to skimp on putting the good stuff in your drinks :). The streaming water décor at the main bar is cool and unique as well.

One of my favorite hangouts. Very laid back and great drink prices. Great place to meet up with friends.

Reading others’ review, you’d think they came to Bradley’s and were expecting South Beach. Boooooooooo to them. Bradley’s is good at exactly what it does, and nothing else. It’s a fun, CASUAL, local«hole-in-the-wall» to chill at. Love Wesley, Bradley the owner, Melvin, Harrison and the smiling bouncer team. Good drink specials and fair pricing. Not fancy, just fun – and it’s right next to NYNY Pizza for that late night bite, when you need a «pick you up». Don’t forget to take a blue tile selfie and post to social media.

The bartenders here are really great, unfortunately that’s where it ends. The rest of the place is boring. I agree with another review that the décor is cheap and doesn’t make sense. It looks like a bad Rainforest Café knockoff. And, there is this gross running water thing on the bar. If you touch it, wash your hands immediately! I give this place an «L» for lame.

The atmosphere is real chill. The ambiance is relaxing. The vibe is on point! Reasonably priced drinks. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone in town visiting. Wish they had appetizers.

Ambiance… fake giant trees and a convenient fake river on the bar to wash away spillage. Full disclosure, I came with my gay friend who was dating one of the bartenders. He fed us free drinks all night and I didn’t really«mingle» much. Fun atmosphere, even for a girl in a gay-boy bar. If you can arrange to not pay for your drinks, definitely stop by!

No-frills gay bar that’s open 365 days a year. Drag shows are a plus.

I’m a bartender from San Francisco and I met Teresa so awesome, Polite, friendly and inviting. Then there was this guy with a beard didn’t know his prices and overcharged us. He wasn’t friendly and was eating at the bar station, chewing while we ordered drinks and just to remind you overcharged us. Watch out for this guy he might have to many bills and is ripping off people, overcharging people for tips. See Teresa she is awesome if you go here.

I always have a great time at Bradley’s, especially when Theresa is bartending. Happy hour is awesome, 2 for 1 until 9 pm. This is a gay bar but we are a straight married couple and my husband is comfortable here so I guess I would say it’s «straight friendly». If Theresa is working and you like shots be sure and ask her for her«ta tas». One note, this us a smoking bar and can get a little smoky. On the plus side it’s always dark and cold like a cave so it’s a great place to beat the heat on a hot Fl afternoon.

Maybe the cheapest drinks in Ybor for example we had 4 Vodka Tonics, 6 Miller Lites and 2 Shock Tops on Saturday and the bill was $ 30. The Vodka Tonics are strong pours according to my wife or as she likes to say Vodka Ton. Theresa is the bartender we normally have and she is great funny with a sharp tongue if you deserve it. Yes this is a gay bar but everyone is nice and don’t bother you since everyone is there to have a good time and drink the cheap drinks.

Let me preface this review with a disclaimer. I have only been to Bradley’s on Monday nights. They have buy one get one free on Monday nights, all night. Brad, the bartender, is fabulous, as is Theresa, who generally works evenings, not nights. I have heard that on the weekends it gets insane, but Mondays are very chilled out. I’d say of the 6 Mondays I have been there, only once have there been more than 15 people in the bar. The bar used to be called The Jungle, so there are enormous fake trees throughout, a working waterfall in the corner, and a stream that runs the length of the entire bar. The front room, which I just referenced, has private bathrooms to the right and stall bathrooms to the left. Past the stall bathrooms is an enormous dance floor. That part is closed on Mondays, but it would be a great place to dance on the weekends. Also, there is no cover on Monday, and I believe no cover on the weekends before 11. It’s a very laid back atmosphere on Monday and you will find both straight and LBGT patrons. It is mostly Ybor hospitality people that I see in there on Monday nights. Either way, you can’t beat 2 for 1s, good music videos, and a freindly bar staff on Monday nights.
