Okay, I’m going to do something different here and skip the appetizer, skip the entrée and go straight to the dessert… the cookie dough flautas… TODIEFOR!!! How have I never had these in my 9 years in Tallahassee?!! Crunchy on the outside with a warm, soft cookie dough center AND it comes with chocolate dipping sauce. Me and my son devoured these in like two seconds. I just can’t say enough about this delicious dessert. Now on to the rest. As soon as I walked in the door the ladies were right there welcoming me and asking if I needed any help with anything, which is great because this was my first time actually trying this place out. I was handed the menu and put my order in with –again– a very nice young lady who explained more items on the menu and the hot sauce bar and even recommended a few that I try. I ordered the chips and queso, black bean enchiladas and, of course, the cookie dough flautas. My order was out in a timely manner and everything was delicious! They give you large portions, which I had leftovers for tomorrow. The sweet tea was also very good. The store was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. Great place to take the family too. I have to say again that the customer service was awesome! Very pleasant and knowledgable workers in there. We will absolutely be back!

Stopped in last week to pick up a quick meal to-go and received(beyond expectation) friendly and generous service. After the cashier found out the meal was destined for someone having a really rough day, they surprised us with dessert in the bag! I was touched. Oh, and the food was good, so we will definitely be back.

It’s bad enough when you don’t listen to my order and add jalepenos and onions when I said exclude them, but then the food tastes bland with rubbery cheese. Stick with Moe’s.

Tijuana is tijuana wherever you eat it. This location is clean and spacious with a kind staff. We usually order beef or steak, as the chicken is usually kinda dry. Can’t go wrong with tostadas or flautas. You’ll run out of toppings for chips if you go for nachos ;)

Great staff and great food! My son and I came in for lunch, when I finished placing my order I realized my wallet was not in my purse. Not only did they play and talk with my son while I fruitlessly searched my car. But they told us to stay and enjoy lunch on them. Incredible!!! We will be loyal customers forever. My son takes a class 2 days a week in the same strip mall and we know we will be coming to this Tijuana Flats on a regular basis. You all rock!

TF is one of our favorite places for a quick meal. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and they know our faces when we walk in the door. Prices are pretty good, and the food is fresh. I also like no cheese options on my meal. We have been eating here since they opened and are big fans. Their refried beans are really tasty to my palate, the chips are usually warm and fresh, and if I am in the mood for meat, the smaller plate choices fit my appetite. Their burritos are tasty and they have plenty of vegetarian options. I also find the flautas and chimichangas good if I am up to something fried. I was terribly disappointed when they did not bring their chili back this year. It was tasty. The taco salad is very good, with fresh green leaf lettuce and a load of good veggies. This salad does not need a dressing on it at all, you can eat it naked. If you must have dressing, the avocado ranch is tasty in small amounts. We have rarely had a disappointment when we eat here. My only issue has been with the tacos, which tend to be greasy. They need to drain the meat a bit more before the shells are filled. Otherwise, the meat is tasty, well seasoned and enjoyable. We are regulars at the Mahan location.

Fresh ingredients in my chimi, the tomato salsa is super, unfortunately beans were a bit chilly. Service is outstanding.

We just got take out. The food was cold and we live less than a half mile from the place. The burrito tortilla was too stiff for my taste, like it hadn’t been warmed to soften it up at all. The insides were cold. The cheese dip was that nasty bright yellow nacho stuff you get at sporting events. The mixture of ingredients was gross, but that’s my fault because I chose them. My husband can make a burrito at home that is 100x better, so why even bother?

So-so tex-mex, lots of different sauces, but the food wasn’t too interesting.

No matter which Tijuana Flats I go to, in Fort Lauderdale or Tallahassee or wherever, the food is ALWAYS cold. The guacamole is good and the hot bar rules buttttt those are really the only positives of TF’s.

found this chain in Pensacola and was thrilled to see they have opened one in Tallahassee. Service was just as good as the food, which was excellent. I love Tijuana Flats because it doesn’t taste like every other Mexican place. Maybe it’s just me, but most ‘authentics’ all seem to taste the same. This place breaks that cycle!

Tijuana Flats is pretty decent Mexican style fast-food. Don’t mistake it for authentic Mexican though — it’s good for what it is. The hot sauce bar is fun so make sure you try a few while you’re waiting for your order. I’m a fan of the blackened chicken and the pork.

This could be the solution to local mexican restaurants who serve the same menu and no taste variety.
My husband and I visited Tijuana Flats on friday night and despite the rave I heard it was empty. All the better since we’ve never had better service at an order-and-sit place. For being our 1st time there we got a free basket of chips and an intro to their«salsa» bar. The food looked VERY fresh and tasted great without oozing fats or saltiness. The price was decent so about what we’d spend at a regular sit-down mexican restairant($ 20 for 2). I was disappointed with what they are calling a «sangria» because it was just red wine and sprite, but for $ 3 its a refreshing cooler. As far as their famed«salsa» bar I’m not sure its their highlight since we found most sauces to seem like stuff you’d cook with or marinate with not necessarily stuff I’d put on nachos. But, the bottom line here was that the food was FRESH and tasty. The atmosphere is somewhat eclectic and artsy… dont forget to look around at the ceiling and at the funny stickers in odd places. Enjoy.
