The Rogue Chef really knows what he’s doing. Best burger around! You will not be disappointed. Fresh buns, wagyu beef, organic veg, house made sauces… It’s seriously the best burger experience I’ve ever had. The Ruben is incredible! Finally got their fries down proper as well. Not to mention Stefan and his staff are incredibly friendly. Top notch quality here!

So glad to have a food truck in Talent! Working in north Ashland I want good affordable food at lunch without having to brave a drive through downtown Ashland & try to find parking. Easy to get to, and a short wait for my food. I had their noodle dish & there was SO much food I actually had more than enough leftover for lunch the next day. There was also a lot of sauce on it, & it made the container REALLY heavy. I tried really hard not to spill it everywhere, but it was pretty unavoidable. Probably wouldn’t get this again while wearing my work clothes. I’ve also had the burger & fries & that was delish. I hope they stick around Talent.

Being a big fan of the perfect food– burgers, I’ve had a lot of great burgers in the Rogue Valley… And I have my favorites known as the ‘baburger triangle’… The top 3 burgers in the RV are as followed, to the south there is Sammich, to the west you have Back Porch Barbeque and to the north hails the king of the RV burgers, Jaspers… Within the triangle you can find a lot of great burger joints, but I believe I have found my new favorite within the triangle and the new #4 burger on my list for the RV– The Rogue Chef! Toasted brioche bun, house cured peppered bacon, house made garlic aioli, fresh veggies… Do I have your attention yet? The beef is wagyu, juicy, flavorful and the patty was just the right size… It came with perfectly seasoned fries accompanied by homemade ketchup and/or ranch dressing… I called 5 minutes ahead @ 11:00 am and my burger was just being finished when I arrived… The Rogue Chef is a mobile food cart, so you need to locate them before just showing up(although they do have a semi-permanent location now in Talent)… They do have a little makeshift seating area, but I needed some alone time with this delicious burger, so I opted to devour it in my own vehicle… Now the downside, these guys are extremely busy with catering events, so they can be hard to hit at the perfect time… My advice is to hit them up when you see them and not wait for the next day when they might not be at their location(I made that mistake for way too long)… I’m rating these guys a 4.3 on the Unilocal burger scale, so go get you one! ***Eat Local***

The Rogue Chef was parked in Talent near the organic coffee shop, just around the corner from Brammo. I gave it try and it was very good. I asked for an Everything burger, with no bun and no fries due to avoiding carbs on a ketogenic eating plan. The mushrooms were exceptional and the bacon was peppered and delicious. The Burger itself was pretty good, but I think it might be a preformed patty, so it was not the texture you normally see from a hand built patty. Overall — very good, very tasty and great service. I hope they have enough business in this spot to stay around, it is very conveniently located for us Brammo’ans, but expensive enough not to be an every day habit! 2nd Visit: Steak Salad — Oh my, amazing, delicious with very crispy lettuce and amazing beef. Keep it at this spot!

I’ve tried the burger and a scallops dish, both were fantastic. I love the dipping sauce for the fries. The scallops were served on a salad of farro and kale, and a delicious vinaigrette. The portion sizes are great, very reasonable for the price. Love! I have visited them at a brewery and a winery.

I have been to this great«hidden» food court in Medford several times. The Rogue Chef Rueben Sandwich was great. The Rye bread is amazing and is made fresh by the Chef. We sat in the tavern and while sipping on a beer the sandwich was brought to us… all in all, a great experience.

Love this place and this chef. Amazing Ruben! Great salads. If there is a wait it’s because the food is so good. I’ll be back!

I’ve visited The Rogue twice, of which I was only able to order food once. The first time I visited here, there were three people ahead of me, after waiting 10mins to order and the first person still had not received their food, I decided to come back at a later date because I did not have time to wait. The second time I went to the Rogue Chef, I was the only customer and there were two people working inside. I ordered the The Cheese burger and proceeded to wait… and wait… and wait… so I decided to check in on my order… still cooking… so I went back to waiting, which by then another foodtruck must have felt sorry for me and my grumbling stomach and brought me a free(& large) sample of their food for me to eat while I waited some more. After around 30 mins I finally received my order and I was very VERY dissatisfied. The meat was tender but there was enough salt on it to kill a horse! The fries were really thin and I enjoyed the way they presented everything but again, I was assaulted by the overuse of MORESALT! I complained to Stephan the owner and chef in charge and he offered to replace my food, but I was riled with impatience and rising blood pressure from the abnormal amount of salt I had just consumed so I left without another word and or any thoughts of ever returning. All in all, eat here if you want to wait 30 minuets to consume a years worth of salt in one sitting.

Wagyu beef cheeseburger was delicious! It came with a good portion of shoestring potato fries(thin as spaghetti) and aoli dipping sauce. A fun little food truck in Medford’s new little food pod lot.

Waited 40 minutes for them to make a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was tasty, but the fries were burnt to a crisp and inedible. About 20 minutes into the wait I was wishing I had gone to the Burger Spot instead. I also got tired of listening to the other customers complaining about the wait. Won’t be returning.

Look out Portland, Medford has finally joined the gourmet food truck scene, and although a bit late, it was sure worth waiting for. The Rogue Chef at the corner of Riverside and 8th features the former head chef… drum roll please… Stefan Pena of the Peerless Hotel in Ashland. The truck says Gourmet Mobile Bistro, and they aren’t kidding. The coconut chicken with green curry was so tasty, just spicy enough, perfectly balanced and with lots of veggies. A good sized serving too. My mouth was exceedingly happy, the flavors were just perfect. While I was waiting for my order to cook, I noticed Lobster Mac on the menu. Stefan proceeded to explain how he didn’t just use langoustines, but had lobster flown in from Maine. How could I resist that? So, I ordered that too and brought it home for a scrumptious dinner. It’s obvious that lots of attention and care go into the details of each menu item, and I am excited to go back and taste more very soon. The Rogue Chef is one great reason to drive to Medford. Be careful you can almost drive right past the corner, and parking is a bit limited(you can park on Center at 8th in the huge city lot and walk one block over, or drive past on 8th and park just beyond on 8th or E Main) And, there are 3 other trucks in the same lot(Peruvian Pont, Ooblies and Lydia’s Mexican). Medford is finally on the food truck map!
