Stopped by for some afternoon tea while visiting Takoma Park, and I was delighted by the sunny space, homey atmosphere, and good selection of hot teas. But Aster, the proprietor, made the visit worth it on her own. She is sweet, helpful, and delightfully friendly.

I visited Natra Tea’s for the first time yesterday. Aster, the proprietor is the essence of hospitality — she offered Sandra and me small samples of tea just as we walked in the door then chatted with us as we checked out the tea menu and edible choices. The tea I chose — yikes, I’ve forgotten its name — was excellent. The location makes this a great spot for all those who live along Flower Avenue or in that general vicinity of Sligo Creek Parkway, as well as the students at Washington Adventist University, just up the road. I hope as spring keeps coming and people are out and about more that folks will stop by for tea and conversation at this lovely little spot in a surprising location. When you go, plan to have a bit of conversation with Aster. She will like that and its the neighborly thing to do and this is a very neighborly place.

A sweet little tea shop with a kind and motherly proprietor. She made us a potful of Ethiopian tea on a chilly winter day. Cute cute cute.

Lovely tea shop with a cozy atmosphere. Wide variety of tea selections! The owner is very sweet and gave me a complimentary cookie and tea sample. Greatly recommended if you’re looking for a place to study or grab a cup of tea with friends!

The newly-opened shop just off Flower Ave from the Adventist Hospital campus is a delightful place run by a wonderful owner. The teas are delicious, they also have sweets from Spring Mill Bakery, and I hear they do a fine coffee. One day I’ll try that instead of the great teas. Go show the love for this little nook behind the Erie/Flower business strip! Pleasant environment and free wifi.

NaTra Tea is a comfortable and sweet tea shop tucked away in a neighborhood near Takoma Park’s Adventist University(in the former Mama’s building). I spent a rainy day drinking excellent chai and reading a book. I will be back, and will likely bring my knitting as the couches look inviting. NaTra has free WiFi, making a nice place to study or telework. The shop has loose teas, coffee(even offering an Ethiopian coffee ceremony), pastries, healthy snacks, and cold drinks. The owner said she plans to sell tea packets in the near future. The shop is a great addition to the neighborhood and the owner obviously put a lot of care into the business and renovations.

This is a new tea shop. Plenty of tea options, loose leaf tea and coffee, good prices. Some light snacks and fruits. Will definitely be returning.

This is such a great little café/tea house! There are a wide variety of tasty and unique teas(and coffee) along with a wonderful assortment of pastries, baked goods, and snacks. The prices are very good and the service and atmosphere can’t be beat! Aster(the owner) is a lovely woman who offers up great service and a pleasant environment. I highly recommend the Coconut Cabana and Boulder Breakfast teas.
