This place deserves a BIGFATZERO review. We have lived in this neighborhood for six months and always walk by this food truck. We finally decided to try it. What a huge disappointment! We decided to get the fried chicken and french fries plate. First of all the picture on the truck menu looks like your standard golden fried chicken tenders and french fries. Very misleading if chicken is in fact what they tend to pass this off as. seemed like the most safe option. Wrong! The«meat in question», was hard and rubbery and had bones in and out of weird places. I took one tiny bite and it most certainly was not a familiar chicken dish I have ever tasted. It looked like this street vendor deep fried whatever it ran over with its food truck. Yuck!!! My boyfriend said, «I worked at KFC through high school and all the chicken I made, NEVERLOOKEDLIKETHIS». He refused to eat anymore than his original taste, threw both our plates in the trash and decided to go dinnerless for the night, since our appetites were on the missing persons list at this point. I’m not sure about the other reviews of the Dominican fare, but I won’t be testing them out. Big fat NO for this place in my book. Silver Spring residence, be warned!!!

Love their chicharron with half yuca and half tostones. I have to have one a week. Its sad but true, luckily my husband enjoys it too.

Hell yes. Sometimes you just crave hunks of hot, salty, fatty, crispy, pork. This truck delivers. Everything I have had here has been simply delicious. From the Chicharron to the orejitas, your mouth will be watering. Don’t go in a hurry. Good food takes time.

Drove all the way from Woodbridge, VA to review this food truck! And I am so glad we did! First and foremost the Quipe is just like my Abuela Doña Fresa Matildé! We have tried these several places and this is the closest to my Abuela’s recipe we have found… which is like a hug from her in heaven! Order several! My lil Cousin was shocked I have never had a chimi… so that was a must! That is what inspired the drive! I have nothing to compare it to for a rating… it was good but not what I would be pressed to order from here. I ordered the Chicharonnes de puerco y tostones… Bomb…seriously…get it and get two… because everyone is going to want some! Tostones were on point! Just wish they would have lil to go Mayo-katchu! My cousins are definitely dominican foodies and they gave the Chicharonnes all 5 stars! So there you go! Enjoy!

Finally a Dominican Food truck that sells chimis aka Chimichurri(Dominican Hamburger) in the DMV. But of course they don’t just sell Chimis, they also sell typical Dominican street food like quipes, longanisa, tostones, chicarromes de pollo y puerco, and empanadas. The beef chimis are good(nothing like the one’s in DR tho– which is expected cause things just taste much better there), and the chicharrones de puerco are ok(I’ve had better at «Los Hermanos» on Park Rd. and 14th in DC). Now their hours are a little complicated– they arrive at the Sunoco Gas station around 7:00pm, but they stay until 1:00am and on Friday and Saturdays they stay until 5:00am. It’s worth trying the food out tho.
