Chris’ Kitchen Collaborative

Chris is amazing! We had Chris come to our vacation home to do a dinner party for 14 people. He did an awesome job. Starting with selecting the menu, he was extremely open to our ideas and worked with our budget. He accommodated everything we needed, including picking up a birthday cake for us! He truly made our evening a special one. The dinner he prepared was amazing and I was blown away at what he was able to do by himself. We truly enjoyed having Chris prepare this special birthday dinner for us. He was so professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone! We hope to hire Chris again the next time we are in the area!

I could say a million amazing things about Chris, but I know most people don’t like to read crazy long reviews. So I will do my best to keep this relatively short:
1. He is the only chef in the entire Tahoe region that will create a menu exactly how you want it! I requested a Dominican menu (which no other chef or caterer could even do) and he delivered the most delicious Dominican meal ever!!! My family from the Dominican was saying that Chris’ food was better than theirs back home.
2. He worked with me on every single detail that I needed for my wedding of 50 people. He even did a test run before hand on some of the more complicated menu items such as the empanadas and quipes to make sure that they turned out amazing and WOW! they were AMAZING!!! There was no food left over at the end of the night and he made more than enough for 50 people. Everyone has still been talking about how amazing the food was and my wedding was weeks ago!
3. Chris’ service and cooking is absolutely impeccable and you will not find a better chef, so stop looking around and book with Chris before someone else snatches your date!
My husband and I could not have been happier with how AMAZING the food turned out at our wedding and we owe it all to Chris! He is the best in the business and he will exceed all your expectations! If we ever need a chef again for an event we will only book with Chris.

We hired Chris to take care of all the food for an afternoon gathering of 30 people, and he did it perfectly. The situation was a bit chaotic using the kitchen in a rented house. Chris got everything under control and on schedule. His chef skills are superb, and everything he prepared was delicious. He was very polite and friendly, and many of our guests complimented his cooking and food presentation. Having Chris handle the food made it fun to be host, and I highly recommend him.

My husband and I used Chris on two separate occasions. First, as a trial run during our wedding planning trip to South Lake Tahoe, CA. He was a step above the other chefs we tried out and really went out of his way to go the extra mile with fresh flowers from the farmer’s market and all of the little details that make food a meal. His three course sample menu was absolutely superb with a nice fondue, sea bass, and delicious GF chocolate roulade for dessert. We were so impressed that we begged for Chris to give us his whole Saturday for our wedding in May 2013. He came through splendidly, cooking tasty GF crepes for breakfast, a delightful soup and salad bar for lunch with some roasted red pepper tomato bisque and egg drop soup, and then an absolutely amazing dinner with stuffed chicken breast and some local morel mushrooms. Chris absolutely went above and beyond to make our wedding day completely perfect. Our families loved all of his dishes, including the breakfast casseroles he left for us for Sunday morning. Chris even put together a stunning table with local-​gathered materials and handmade place settings. I cannot express how grateful I am to Chris for making our wedding unforgettable and taking such good care of our families!
