Subway

I was looking forward to getting some lunch at Safeway, however, the deli wasn’t stocked with lunch items yet, so I headed over to subway. Being from hawaii, I was pretty excited to see that the same subway sandwiches I could get at home were less expensive here (#hawaiiproblems). I had no problems with ordering my sandwich and the one girl working made me feel welcome.
The sandwich was good although the cucumbers looked a little wilted and sad. It’s ok, I just pulled them out if my sandwich.
This is a subway, after reading other reviews on this particular establishment, I think it’s good to keep in mind that it’s a quite secluded subway. Idk how «fresh» the ingredients are or how long they keep their tuna out, but you get what you pay for. If you want a gourmet sandwich, try elsewhere.

Damn what a mess! Customer service was all bad! I swear I didn’t even get eye contact. My sandwich was just super messy everything was just got smashed in the middle of my sandwich. Just rushing it. I’m guessing someone called out and she was mad but it was bad. And the sodas wer flat.

Subway is usually reliable. Not here. I looked in at the tuna salad and it was crusted brown at the top like it was old, really old and gross. Yuck.

I got a pizza and they didnt let me put a fucking white chip macadamia cookie on my pizza and they told me i could put anything on it but all in all it was preety good

I took the online survey, but I was so unhappy that I needed to share more than what I was able to say. The store was very busy, but it should not matter. The employee making my sandwich had a hard time understanding what I was asking for a hot pastrami. She put the mustard on the end as an after thought and I ended up with it squirting out of my sandwich and onto my clothing. When we asked about the breakfast special, no one seemed to know what we were talking about, no one smiled or thanked us, the cashier did not make eye contact she only told us our total and tossed us our bags. I go to subway often in Sacramento, and decided to go to the store in Tahoe on our vacation so we could have a nice family picnic, it really brought down the jovial mood, I will NOT shop at this subway again. I have already posted on my facebook the experience I had and have let my friends and family know not to go to this subway. It is sad because we visit Tahoe City very often, but will not go to this one again.

Subway is a network/​fast food restaurant, but this particular location has a charm: it is in the gateway center which is adjacent to Lake Tahoe. Spending $ 5 on a footlong, and then sitting on the picnic tables with million dollar views makes me smile.

Situated amidst other TC home-​town businesses including the US Post Office, CVS and Safeway — this Subway is GOOD. It has to be if there is a line ahead of you of other appreciative visitors/​locals/​foodies.
The girls who make up your custom-​craving are very courteous and efficient. As any other Sub Stop, you can eat-​within or grab-​and-​go.
