In town over the holidays visiting family. Gonna give 4 stars. Based on my burger and fries I’d give ‘em a 5. Amazing ortega burger. Probably best I’ve had. However, my husband had the pastrami sandwich, and even though he said the meat was good, the bun was dry and stale. Not good.

We were on a road trip, were thirsty for a great chocolate shake, so we stopped at Jacob’s 24-​Hour Burger! Great shake indeed!

Pretty decent burger joint. The burgers are very sizable and reasonably priced. I’d have to agree with the other reviewer that this place is better than McDonald’s or Burger King or any other fast food chain. I enjoy supporting small local businesses and this one is definitely worth stopping by.

It’s the best burger joint in town!
Waaaay better than BK or McDonalds, which get your order wrong more often than not.
The fish in the fish dinner is actually real cod, and it’s delicious, which is surprising for a burger joint.
Fries are good, typical fountain sodas but they have a ton of custom drink options, and milkshake options.
Not somewhere to dine in and eat, it’s usually pretty hot in the lobby and can have flies in the summer, but the food is great.

Food is decent as long as you use the drive through to many unsavory characters hanging around at night and the bathroom was horrendous.

I was assigned to work in the area during an emergency back in 2012. I was looking for a place to buy food for about 20 – 30 hungry people and came across this place around midnight. There was one cook and one girl at the counter. The town isn’t exactly a tourist spot but if you’re passing through you don’t have many options for food. The place pulled through with the order and the burgers were pretty good. Either that or we were all starving.

I work at the ambulance station down the street. The burger and service were fine. The two women working were very pleasant. The fries were extra crispy which is why it got 4 instead of 3 stars. The bathroom is open to the public so needless to say it is disgusting disaster but as long as you aren’t coming here to shoot up or drop a deucer, you’ll be happy. Note: lock your doors or use the drive through.

Terrible, for one they changed location, across the street. The new location is dirty and rundown. The menu looks great the burgers are huge but absolutely tasteless, they look great but no flavor. i had a double bacon burger. and it actually had no strips of bacon, just little charred balls of what i hope was bacon, tasted like beef jerky. The service was ok when the workers dont have «friends» sitting around at 3am, reputable characters. but the main reason i will never eat there again is that it took 25 minutes on two separate occasions to get one meal, and they were not busy at all. Never again

I stayed in the motel next door when I returned to my home town for Taft’s 100-​year anniversary Oildorado celebration.
Dropped in for breakfast before I left the next day and was delighted to find my favorite breakfast, a chorizo and egg burrito on the menu. It was huge and delicious. I also noticed that my second-​favorite breakfast, biscuits and gravy, was available. The fellows running the place were pleasant.
What more could you want from a locally-​owned diner?

This is a good place to go for a more genuine tasting burger than say… McDonald’s. They’re actually very good AND a major plus is that they are not greasy.
If you’re getting it to go, they wrap them well, which sounds silly to mention, but how many times have you had a burger spill its’ contents everywhere on your lap and car while you were driving?
And it’s open 24 hours — perfect for a snack in the early hours of the morning if you’re that hungry.
