This place has a huge selection of high quality glass from the northwest. You won’t find cheap manufactured glass here, everything is made with love and it’s reflected in the price.

This place is really fantastic. Every piece was beautiful and unique– none of the piles of identical pipes like most places have. Wonderful customer service, too– the dude who helped me was super friendly and obviously took a great deal of pride in the art he was presenting. And it really is art. I was super impressed at everything here. And it’s very reasonably priced. All local artists, too– wonderful work. One of the artists was even at the shop when I was in, and it was fascinating to hear about how my pieces were made. Thank you so much! I will definitely be telling all of my friends that if they’re in Tacoma, to hit this place up.

Top notch customer service! i bought my first pipe from them! I told the guy it was my first pipe and the first thing he did was grab a bunch of pipes and threw them over the counter onto the hard wood floor to show how strong they were. The other pipe shops treated their pipes as if they would break easy. I got a sweet pipe stamped with an M on it. Ive dropped it several times and it hasn’t broken. Its true that they are spendy but I think the quality and service is there to justify it.
Edit — As of 1÷13÷2016 I have not been back to the Hippie House. The pipe they sold me has been dropped several times and still has not broken. Thats a quality pipe.

I was excited to use my gift certificate here. I’m a 48 year old business woman who is not use to going into a pipe shop etc. Well let me tell you that it was amazing. The owner only buys from local artist and is proud to show off the glass hand pipes by throwing them around the floor to show that they don’t break! I bought a beautiful ceramic water pipe that was made in Olympia. The owner believes in customer service since he use to work for Nordstroms. I will always go there and send my friends too!
