I crave coffee like Homer Simpson craves doughnuts. When I have to have that perfect«savor every drop» perfect kinda coffee, I want Stumptown… and I go to this Satellite location. Thank you for always making my cappuccino an actual cappuccino, not a latte heavy with milk. Mmmmmmm. I think I need one tomorrow morning.

This Satellite Coffee location is in the same entrance as the MASA restaurant. The coffee shop is in a little corner of the place to your right. To the left is MASA itself. The day I went here I was not in the mood for coffee so I got a chai instead. Their chai recipe I was told is a organic recipe from a family in India and they keep what goes into it is top secret. Indeed the chai tasted much smoother and had it’s own kind of spice I have not experienced before. I had a choice between a cheddar scone or a blueberry one. I went with the cheddar. It was baked the same day and had a delightful freshness to it! I live just off of 6th Ave. and can easily walk to Satellite Coffee and I am looking forward to many happy returns here!

Good coffee for when you are sitting at MASA. It is nice that you can order a good cup of coffee while you wait for your breakfast at MASA. If you are looking for a place to just get coffee, you should check out their location on Division.

HOWGOODISTHISPLACE? I’ll tell you. Being selfless on occasion, I gave my husband the«okay» to stop here on the way to the hospital(Tacoma General). And he did. We were in a huge winter storm, and on the way to the hospital for me to deliver our daughter. Yes, I was in labor. He was so happy to start what turned into a VERY long day, with such an amazing latte. SooOOOooOOOooOO amazing. My favorite of all time. The best coffee/latte I’ve ever tasted. EVER. Seriously. AMAZING.

Stopped by this little coffee shop window on a Saturday evening and ordered a plain ‘ol drip coffee. Apparently there was some brewed, but the employee informed me that it was full of grounds and I probably wouldn’t want it, so she asked«would you like an Americano instead»? OK, sure… I’ll live dangerously. An Americano is just espresso and water, right? So pretty much the same thing? Well, this ‘plain’ drink was actually quite good(they use Stumptown coffee, perhaps that’s the key) but at $ 2.73 for a pretty small cup of the stuff I think it’ll be a rare treat. Bonus: this place is open later than the Starbucks across the street. Besides, Starbucks is freaking EVERYWHERE so a small local shop is a welcome change.

Cute little coffee corner on 6th Ave. I try to always support small, local businesses but unfortunately one of my drink orders was a request for a blended drink and I couldn’t bring myself to make 2 stops to accomodate so unfortunately I walked across to the«other» joint. So I will definately update my review when I visit again for a «hot» cup of joe. I am only giving a 3 star because the menu was sub par and the barista was so-so…

This place doesn’t have windows inside and also very poor lighting for reading/studying. They also don’t have the really good happy hour that Satellite on Division has, so I don’t go here very often unless I go through the walk-up window.

Probably the best coffee in Tacoma. I wish they were open later and have more of a sitting area though.

Best latte I’ve ever had, hands down. Soy was perfect, foam was abundant, and I’ll be back.

Love love love this place!!! All of the drinks are so smooth and yummy. I love when you walk in they know you, might not know your name, by what you like to drink. Sometimes you have to wait a few minutes but it is deffently worth it. I also love that I can bring my dog in and get a little treat for her. She loves going into the shop. The snickerdoddle cookie is a must try. The bathroom is clean.

They now serve decaf, and it was great!

Hands down the best Java in T-town. Pat Brown and crew are coffee perfectionists, so Satellite never fails to please. Mighty fine baked goods, too! Two convenient locations, one at the corner of Division and I St; the other at the corner of 6th Ave and Pine. My regular stop for my Saturday morning espresso.

Satellite strikes again with a new location INSIDE of Masa Restaurant. I never dreamed I’d visit Masa this much in my life! They do have a window, though… Sara is here a lot jamming out the drinks and she is a fantastic barista. On this stupidly hot day I asked for a recommendation; she hooked me up with a soy almond toddy(that’s cold coffee — they chill it ahead of time so your drink doesn’t get totally diluted with ice). Full flavored & highly caffeinated — EXCELLENT. There’s a little more room to spread out at this location — a small seating area for about 20 people is a few steps from the counter& it looks like you’ll be able to grab a little food with your coffee. May you pull many shots in your newest satellite, Satellite!
