Good food and quick service. I would recommend getting extra sauce for your terriyaki though.

I stop here every time I’m heading down to Oregon, and it’s delicious every time. The chicken teriyaki is tender and flavorful(their sauce is Yummy!). I order with mushrooms and add some Sriracha sauce(provided there) afterward to «Napalm the jungle» as they say. The portions are generous; I don’t feel the need to double the meat although they push pretty hard for it. Grab a coupon from the sample-handler that will get you a 2nd order for only $ 3.99. If you’re alone, work out a deal with the person in line behind you. :) Yes it’s food court food, but I like t and have no complaints. Also, remember to ask for extra sauce on your meal once they finish it!

Always a line at the food court so speaks for itself. Unique teriyaki sauce unduplicated elsewhere. $ 1.75 for wxtra serving of meat.

I ordered the chicken teriyaki with fried rice and steamed vegetables. The food is actually pretty good for food court Asian food. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. I would like some spice or heat in it, but they have rooster sauce sitting on hand for that. I gave it three stars because it’s not mind blowing good; it’s quick take away food from a mall food court. You get what you expect and that’s not always bad.

This is my go to place for lunch. The cashier is so friendly. Definitely deserves tips. The meat is fresh and cooked right in front of you. Very tasty chicken is very tender cooked just right.

Ordered teriyaki chicken with fried rice. Fried rice was more like brown rice with a few mixed vegetables. When I asked for extra sauce on my food, one of the cooks looked at me like I offended him. The chicken was very chewy, with the exception of the bite I took that felt like it had a small playground pebble in it. Once I got past that, it was okay. Unfortunately though, I was hungry again 5 minutes after I finished eating.

I ate at this location on Friday in the afternoon. It turned out to be the biggest mistake I made all week. I should have known better since it was after the busy lunch rush and who knows how long that chicken was piled up on the side of the grill before I got there. This was the last thing I ate on Friday. When I got home I started feeling very ill. By nightfall I was running a fever and ached all over. Several trips to the bathroom were required. My stomach was in so much pain all day yesterday and into this morning. The last time I ate here I had a similar result but decided to give it another try since it had been over a year. Big mistake!!! Will not be eating here ever again.

Food is good but employees are very rude. If the service was better I’d give 5 stars but from my point of view the service you receive can make or break an experience and with the service I received today they have lost me as a customer. If you can deal with the lack of friendly service then the chicken teriyaki is good.

Best fast-food style teriyaki in town. Absolutely delicious. Can get crowded quickly so that would be the downer to it. Other than that, worth it!

This place has GREAT food but I have an issue with just one employee, Danika. I went up and waited by the counter for a bag for my friend and I so I we could take our food to go, she told me to move away but I replied saying I was just going to ask for two bags. She rolled her eyes and told me to wait, I told her I was waiting. Then finally she gave me a bag but I said I wanted two and she yelled telling me to wait. I said I have been waiting, she finally gave my second bag and held onto it tightly while giving it to me so I had to pull the bag out of her hands she loudly yelled YOURWELCOME to me. There was no way I was going to say thank you to a service like that. I usually never leave reviews but my experience here was so bad. I hope she changes up her attitude.

I would have given 4 stars because the food is really fresh and the portions are large. The service is usually very good and the employees nice, but the last time I went one of the employees(Danica) was very nosy. She asked in front of my boyfriend«Where’s the other guy you’re usually with? «and after much assuring that I’m never with another guy there, she finally said«Oh, nevermind thats a different girl«. My boyfriend was really upset because he thought I might be cheating. The way she had talked to me was very rude. I would have not wrote a review on Unilocal, except today my sister had a bad experience with the same girl. My sister asked one of the workers if they were opened yet and he said yes(it was 10:50AM) so she went to wait in line. The rude employee then told my step sister that it wasn’t open yet and my step sister told her that the other guy said it was open. The employee then asked the guy«We’re Open ??? «and he said«Yeah, just ring her up» then the employee told my sister to let some other lady go first when the other lady wasn’t even in line. The other lady told my sister to go first, so she ordered and the employee snatched the money from my sisters hand. Our little brother waited in line(which was only 2 people) for the order, and my sister went to sit down. The employee then gave my sister a weird face and waved for my sister to come back to the cash register. She then told my sister that«You need to wait in line because there might be a long line» and my sister said«My brother is waiting for me» and the employee said«well you need to wait in line because maybe other people will cut him in line.». My sister was extremely mad and went to sit back down anyway. I think sarku japan would deserve 5 stars, but if they hire rude employees like Danica, then they only deserve 2 stars.

The chicken teriyaki is awesome. The steamed rice was over cooked and mushy. It may be the best place in the food court, but having been to Japan, don’t think the food other than the chicken is very good.

I know I always say I rarely give 5 stars and here I am giving it to an establishment that is located inside the Tacoma Mall food court! GO Figure!!! I don’t know what it is about this place but the food is ridiculously DEELISH!!! I always just go simple with the chicken teriyaki and white rice, you really can’t go wrong. The flavor is perfect, no need for extra sauce or extra anything! If the line for this place doesn’t tell ya than I don’t know what to say:)

I always get the same thing here, they make the best chicken teryaki. Most of the teryaki places in town use full chicken breasts/parts then cut them down into strips, then they toss some sauce on top. This place is better because they use raw cut up chicken which is marinated and then throw it on the grill when you order it. Makes for a more tender, fresher meat. Plus their teriyaki sauce is a «cooked» sauce which isn’t as sugary sweet as many other places. Whenever you go, there is a huge line in front of the place, while the other places are ghost town empty. Plus the basic plate is under $ 6 and double meat for only about a buck. You can’t beat this place for cheap good eats.

I eat here every time I get hungry at the mall. Especially after Ivar’s left. I always get the same thing, as boring as that sounds, but it’s soooo good I don’t bother trying something new! I get the teriyaki chicken with veggies and soba noodles. If I feel like sharing, I get double meat. Mmm yum. There can be a fairly long wait at times, but this is just because they are so popular(which is always a good sign!). I love that with how many times I’ve been there and therefore the chances of them making a mistake, my order has always been correct. I took off a star for the following reasons, none of which are big issues: — a fairly long wait for your food — the food is good, but it isn’t gourmet — they don’t have many options for side dishes(to my memory, at least) All in all, this is my favorite place to get a substantial meal at the mall!

Good chicken teriyaki and they add double meet for one dollar. The only problem is finding a clean place to eat in the Mall Food Court.
