Papa Eddie’s

Went here for breakfast had papa Eddies biscuits and gravy it was excellent home style cooking and the prices are reasonable I will be going back. The coffee was good too.

It was awesome. Been there two days in a row. Thanks Zack! We have tried wings… ribs…macaroni…potato salad. Alll great. If you don’t want to wait call ahead… they are looking for help… just starting up. The owner is nice & down to earth. We’ll be back

I read the only other review and like Scott F we had been driving by and wanted to check it out. We like in the area and finally got there, our waitress was right there to take our order and serve us with breakfast. It was good, just no juice selection for breakfast. It is a hard spot to make it and wish them luck. Going to check out the sweet potato pie.

When here for dinner, got great service the food was wonderful and I had the gumbo. this location has had difficulties keeping restaurants alive, but I hope this one stays.

The great breakfast place drought continues in south tacoma. Been driving by eddies for a while, unfortunately I was heading out of town to find breakfast, and it was like 7 am possibly earlier, cause that when I eat breakfast. Eddies had an open sign, and since the only other option is Pattys burgers, which also opens for breakfast after my breakfast time (good place, but I usually don’t look for break fast at 8:30, which is when places that open at 8 am start serving lol) Walked in Papa eddies, sat down, no one there, 10 minutes later I walked. Just like the last couple visits at the edison diner, who’s waitress had a knack for getting customers to leave, I assume she doesnt get tipped anyway, and works by the hour. SO I doubt eddies will survive, since Parkers closed long ago, no place except philly Joe’s ever made a go of it in that space. Usually for, me, its cause I walk in to buy some food, The people who own the place have no interest or no clue how to sell food. still the same, if you want breakfast in south tacoma, head for fife or lakewood. Dont bother with papa eddies. Like most restaurants, its not the food, its never the food. its the service. or lack of it.
