Mr. Rooter

My main sewer line needs a clean-​out. I called Mr. Rooter. They would not give me an estimate over the phone. They said they would send a technician out for a no-​cost no-​obligation estimate. I confirmed this several times with their dispatcher. The technician arrived and gave me an estimate for more than $ 500 just to snake out the drain! I asked them for a discount and he would only go down to $ 300! So, I said «thank you» but no thanks. With that, he said that I owed him a service call fee. I replied absolutely not! I thanked him again for his time and sent him on his way. In fairness to the company, I called back the dispatcher to tell her I was unhappy that he tried to charge me a service call fee. I then informed her of my intent to write this review. BEWARE of calling Mr. Rooter in Tacoma, WA

Well what ever you do be wary of this Mr. Rooter! We called them when we needed service on a Saturday when we could find no one else. Long story short after they cut the roots out of the sewer wanted to UP SELL us on a service that was not needed! When the root cutting didn’t work after 2 and half weeks they would not do the service right. So I had to call another company to do it right.
I took Mr. Rooter to small claims court and WON! Yeay for me right? Well Mr, Rooter took my money and a court says pay me for wrongful doing and he will Not Pay Me in the tune of 395.00 dollars. Do not use this company if you want to get screwed twice. I have a Court Judgment in my favor and he will not pay. Do not use this service they are a scam!
