Rudest and not the smartest cashier working the day my family went. She actually called out another customers name when our order came up and gave our food to him. I asked if it was ours and she said no even though the customer came in after us. We waited another 10 minutes and 4 people who ordered after us got their meal and left. Finally asked where our order was and she said she gave it to us. I argued with her for a minute until what I presume was the owners son stepped in and began arguing with us even though we had the receipt. After back and forth arguing he finally gave us our money back and we left. My son was very hungry and we went away with no food and pissed. Do to this fabulous customer service we will never spend another $ here! Frisco is better and much friendlier! Maybe they should take note on this review!

Back to excellent service and affordable delicious burgers. No A/C here so if it’s July-August take it with you.

I tried this place for the first time because I had a BOGO coupon. I was skeptical when I walked in, because I know this was the«reborn» Little Holland Mikie Burger, and I LOVED Little Holland. Now, let me preface by stating I am a burger aficionado. I am not a fan of the six-inch tall ‘gourmet’ burgers you get at Red Robin and the like. I am a Frisko Freeze fan going WAY back, so my expectations were not that high walking in the door. I hate to say it, but with only one Mikie burger under my belt, they have become my new favorite burger joint in T-Town. I LOVED the cheese burger I had. It was served on a great bun, the a just-right sized patty. The flavor was delicious. I need to go to Home Depot today, and writing this review is making me hungry for a Mikie Burger. If if does not live up to my prior visit, or this review, I will update with my thoughts. If it is just a delicious as the firs time, this review sill stand.

How on earth does this place only average three stars? This is easily in the top 3 or 4 burger joints in Tacoma. The onion straw burger or the mile high are out of this world, the fries are crispy and delicious, and my 10yo claims that they make the best shakes he’s ever had. Plan to take out as there is very little seating. Parking lot is small as well.

The food I’d piping hot when you get, it’s fresh. It’s good! Burgers and fries taste so yummy. The y are always busy when I go in, but you can order ahead. Good stuff!

Little Holland has finally died. I was hopeful when someone bought them and was bringing them back. They weren’t quite the same, but it worked. I went there today after not going for a few months and everything has changed. The buns are different. The patties are different. The onions have been changed to generic yellow slices instead of chopped up sweets. Even the famous Mikie sauce was change to some sort of weird tartar sauce. It was terrible. It’s time to let go. Goodbye, Little Holland. You will be missed.

I’ve been here several times since I moved back into the area, and have been pleased every time. The service is always pleasant and cheerful, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. Do NOT pass on the fresh-cut fries, they are a must, but eat them while they’re still hot! They use some sort of cornmeal-covered bun that is able to stay intact through everything but their most gargantuan creations, and their patties are delicious and adequately sized. They use«the good bacon,» and you’d do well to try one of their burgers with ham on it. Woulda given them the full five stars, but every time I order a soda, the syrup is dialed back so far that it’s mostly soda water. I’d chalk it up to coincidence, but it’s every time. Other than that, this place is great!

Changed ownership back in the Spring. They’re using a higher quality, slightly larger bun now, but they’ve stopped toasting it! Interesting new additions to the menu; changes to the secret sauce(or rather, you can choose between the old Mikie Sauce and the new House Sauce); addition of fried onions to a few new burgers. I’ll have to check back a few more times before I can definitively say how it ranks. God I hope they go back to toasting the bun. That’s a real make-or-break on a cheap burger.

I used to be the biggest mikie burger fanatic ever. Of course things have changed with the location and new owners. I recently got a burger here and noticed they are using different buns and are not getting the bunsss crispy like i like them. If you are reading this please go back to the sesame seed bun.

They have 1 person taking orders and cooking! Other customers and I waited for 10 minutes before walking out. You can’t run that business with just one person doing everything. Owners shouldn’t be so cheap — add one more person so customers don’t walk out.

This place has been a best burger contender every year going back to its old location. Consistently good food. Still our family favorite

Awesome. Best hamburger joint in Tacoma. Get out of my face with Frisko Freeze. The Good: 1) The Mikie Burger is the best burger in Tacoma. There is no contest between this place and Frisko Freeze or Dicks in Seattle as far as I’m concerned. 2) Fries… addicting and salty and LOTS of them. Seriously, it’s hard to finish these suckers even though I always want to. 3) Shakes? Yes, ma’am.(hey…a boozy shake might be a nice addition to the menu– nah… never mind, there good just the way they are. 4) Frozen custard. I don’t order this very often, but when I do it’s very good. Try the butter pecan. 5) Service is always friendly and they are a lot faster than they used to be when they were across the street. 6) Price. Fair. It won’t break the bank. The Bad: 1) the parking lot is a little tight 2) okay fine, the kitchy feel of the old drive-in is gone, but who cares? Everyone in Tacoma was about to have a hemorrhage when the old place was sold and torn down, but now it’s alive and well living across the street with new owners. It’s as good as it always was, people.

This place is good but not like the original Mikie burger! Another downfall is I brought my son there to eat and unfortunately a marijuana dispensary opened next door so you smell a strong odor of marijuana inside Mikie burger. I asked the employees about it and they said it always smells. Not exactly a selling point for families, but I guess a good spot if you have the munchies… I suggest getting take out.

Been here numerous times and my hubby and I love their burgers! They also have really good shakes… especially the triple berry shake! For some reason, their bacon on their burgers always seemed soft and limp, with a lot of fat, so we just don’t get the bacon anymore. Love that this place in right down the street from my house!

The name I don’t get. but the single cheeseburger fulfilled my fat kid craving. reminded me of the simplistic goodness that Dick’s up north is infamous for.

Had the double bacon cheese burger and onion rings with a soda. 10 bucks. It was pretty much your standard fried burger and rings. The staff was friendly and service was relatively quick. When we arrived there, there was no other patrons. So I was surprised to see all the counters had not been wiped down in a while, a lot of food debris. By the time I was done eating, the restaurant was full of people. So I’m assuming this must be a local favorite establishment. If I’m in the area I would go back.

Not as good as I remembered. New management I think. The place is not even close to what it used to be. Too bad! The fresh cut fries were greasy, the burger was«Meh. I’ve experienced better.»… The grilled cheese sandwich was so bad our little one didn’t want to eat it. The onion rings bag had 5!!! onion rings in it! Shame!!! Portions have gone down, prices have gone up. A regular Mikie burger used to be a meal by itself, the double one was close to impossible to finish. Not anymore. Now the double one is the size of what the regular one used to be. Messed up our order twice! First charged us for one extra burger, had to go and get our money back. Then instead of the grilled cheese sandwich we ordered they brought a cheeseburger. Asked them to replace it. Everything that could go wrong — did! No, thanks! I’m done! Go eat Jack in The Box if you want burgers. They would do better. Shame!

Let’s all say it together… FROZENCUSTARD!!! This is the only place that I have ever found to sell frozen custard. It is very smooth and creamy. It is a must try. I have only recently discovered this perfect little spot. I love it. Been very happy with it. Though I am told by the locals that it is not as nice as it was before it ‘sold’. But I have not real complaints. The food has been top notch for a hole in the wall burger joint… just what I would expect or more… Let’s say it again together… FROZENCUSTARD!!! At least stop by and try that…

This review is for those who know and miss Little Holland — Mighty Mike’s is its newest incarnation across the street from the old location(destroyed in the name of strip mall domination). The menu is identical to the old Little Holland, literally. Even the prices and phone number are the same. You’ll find the Mighty Mike here, the shakes, the same turkey sandwiches, onion rings, et al. One welcome change: open more days and longer hours. The difference, which I think the first reviewer was hinting at, can be summed up with the following: You know how you get a family recipe and follow it to the letter and end up with something that doesn’t add up to the original? That’s the problem here. Mighty Mike’s bought the original recipes and you can tell they are trying to replicate them, but they need to practice a bit more before we will get that soul satisfying burger of old. Let’s give them a chance to get up to speed… but in the meantime, know that you’re not going to get the same yummy favs quite the same…
